Buntingford Cougars Whites 10 Hatfield Youth 0

 

Cougars took full advantage of an under strength Hatfield side who could only field 9 players for the first half. They quickly went into the lead with two Joe Pemberton goals and by half time were 5 nil up. In the second half Hatfield put up a spirited defence but it couldn't stop Cougars adding significantly to their lead. Further goal Scorers were Bayo Adeyemni, Bradley Miller, Oliver Lee Stevens, and captain James Clennnel (MOM) added from the penalty spot. There were other notable performances from Jacob Smith, and Sam Wallace.

 

Buntingford Cougars Under 13’s Blue v Sherradswood & Birchwood Rangers

Herts County Cup

The under thirteen blues gave their all in this enthralling County Cup game. The visitors took an early lead and despite creating chances Cougars where unable to equalise.  The blues started the second half strongly and Sam Deville equalised with a header. Sherradswood then broke and went ahead again but the Cougars responded and eventually forced another equaliser through George Duffin to take the game into extra time. The visitors went ahead early in the first period and then scored another goal early in the second period. However the Cougars battled back into the game and soon pulled a goal back from Harry Tuttle. The last few minutes were frantic as Cougars desperately searched for another equaliser but it wasn’t to be.

 

UNDER 13 WHITE

Cougars failed to capitalise on their recent run of form and paid the price for a slow start. There were notable performances from Oliver Lee-Stevens (MOM) and James Clannell who worked tirelessly to re dress the score line whilst Bayo Adeymni and Jacob Smith did well at the back. Rovers kept up a high work rate and although Cougars pressed hard for the equaliser the Rovers Keeper put in an impressive performance
