X-rays

At last I worked out how to get the x-rays scanned (using a digital camera and a desk lamp, just call me Heath Robinson).
So here they are...

Second set taken March 7th

This is the latest view of Franks's pelvis, as you can see from the top arrows there is new bone growth which is good. Although the pelvis looks a little wonky he should make a pretty full recovery and be able to walk, jump run and of course sleep with no pain or restriction. The bottom arrow (there is a joke in there) Shows how his pelvis is now a bit narrow, there is a small possibilty that this may cause a problem later with blockages etc (yeuch) however a diet of runny food should sort it!

This is the latest side on view, does not really show much although you can see from the arrow where the pelvis is not slightly mis aligned. Don't worry!

First set taken after the accident and during the operation

The first one shows Frank's pelvis on the morning after the accident, the arrows show the breaks. The top two arrows point to where the pelvis has broken away from the spine (ouch!).

This next one, also taken the morning after the accident shows Frank side on, this is important as it shows there is no other damage to the spine and also that his internal organs are intact.

Next we come to the operation, the first x-ray shows the pin going in from the left hand side, unfortunately it does not go far enough into the right side and so had to be reinserted (all in the same operation).

The second x-ray shows the final result, as you can see the pin's location is much better

The last x-ray is a side on view of Frank after the operation, it clearly shows the location of the pin.
