Messages to Frank - 28th Mar

Hey Frank,

Here is a pic of one of my Uncle's cat's newest kittens. It was only one day old when I took this pic.  We started calling this one Lorenzo (after my boyfriend who has a suspiciously similar moustache) but now that the kitten is a bit older it looks like Lorenzo might be a girl!

Well, I just want to share.  Keep up the good work on your recovery,

Rene  "http://graphics.hotmail.com/emsmilep.gif"

dear frank,
my cat phurs wrote you on march 1st. you were kind enough to post his note and picture on that day. i know you are busy healing and your humans are extra busy trying to keep up with the response to the website and your antics. i am writing now because something is wrong with phurs. i can not even get a straight diagnosis. we are going back to the vet today so they can draw more blood. in january he had a full health panel and they said he was super healthy, but suddenly something has gone wrong, and i don't even know what yet. i am so scared, phurs has been my very best friend in the human and non human animal kingdom for almost half my life. i don't want to think the worst but the vet has not let me think the best. i can not imagine even breath with out him by my side. he needs the power of as many good vibes and prayers that he can get. we have watched you since almost the begining of this webadventure. we sent and our sending you our good energy. maybe you will send some and can ask your readers watchers to send some phur's way. thanx. keep getting better. peace, bonnie sue

Hi, Frank, and greetings from the other side. I was not as lucky as you - I crossed the road for the ninth time and now have to communicate via cat telepathy from cat heaven. Mind you, it`s great here; everything a cat could want. Hey, did you hear the one about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac? He stayed awake all night worrying about the existence of a Dog. Keep smiling, Frank, and only cross over when you are good and ready. Night night, sleep tight.

hi frank, i'm so happy you're feeling better again! You be nice though! Frank, please send me the link to the 3rd camera again....well, this is a bit embarassing, I accidentally (naturally) deleted the link from my bookmarks, and can't get it back. I'm very unhappy about this because I rather liked your new angle....anyhow, my girls will be upset too, if they couldn't check in with you now and then (when they can be roused from slumber land of course!) well, i'll check in later frank scritch scratch along the back :)

Just checking back in to see how you are, Frank. You seem much better now . Your coat looks great. Glad everything is moving foreward.
>From across the pond, Shaughn and many 4 leggeds

Oh, Frank! Where are you? For 2 days all I can see is your blankie...looks like a cat shadow...or...I hope not....a cat ghost...tell me you're O.K. and haven't moved to cat heaven...my kitty is there...Sweetie was 19...wish I could pet you...Billie

Hi Frank!
It's 22:59:56 and it looks like you are sleeping. and resting well. Good idea Frank. I'm going to do the same. Sweet dreams Nesta Claremont, CA

Hi, Frank! We check in with you every day and can tell you're doing better all the time, which pleases us both no end. We're hoping you have a Happy Passover and/or a Happy Easter. We also have a friend living in our house who just celebrated for a Happy Persian New Year! So we wish you that, too, and any other holiday of your choice. Maybe cats have special holidays that we don't know about. Contessa the Bernese Mountain Dog is also wishing you the very best.

Fondly, Anna and Sarah

Meow, meow, Frank-

Get well soon!

Hello Frank: I am a new visitor to your site. You are a wonderfully handsome cat. Sorry to hear about your accident. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. My cats Dinky and Howard Hughes Jr. send their best and asked me to tell you that they will chase a lizard, chase a birdy, and catch a nap in your honor until you are able to again yourself. Best wishes and a happy hello to your humans. Take care, Beth, Dinky and Howard Hughes Jr. Your friends in America

Hi Frankie
We wish you a Happy Easter and hope you can come home soon. Love from Yvonne, Paula and Paulina

Morning Frankie, you are looking quite content this morning I noticed your new blanket, it looks cosy! Thought i'd just drop you a note and say i've got my fingers crossed for you when you go to the vets next week...

D, nice response to the stupid message received on 27.3.02. Don't let them grind you down, some people just need removing from the gene pool!

HI! There, Brighton Boy from illustrious Hove, here! Frankie, You seem fitter and fitter! Great! Hove can't wait for you to join the Hove feline posse. Korky, come on! There is no better place than Hove and all strays can testify to that. A multitude of "human mugs" ready to feed you as they think you are homeless are awaiting. We, Hove feline posse have developped the art of pretending to be homeless so we end with a few "competing" human owners. I have perfected this little game. The whole street belongs to me now! Common as muck (Eh! I have invented the word!) so don't hesitate, Korky, a move to Hove can only enhance you feline street cred!.

Frank, my mate, try to convince your vet that a stay in Hove . The good seaside fresh air, fresh fish, etc.. would be very good for your convalescence.

Keep up with the good work! Brighton Boy with you forever

Frank says: It's a long way for my folks to come to feed me though

helloooo Frank! glad to see you have been up and about a bit in the cage- you have some nice toys too! I see Korky is a bit worried about moving to Hove, he has no need to worry! We like a bit of rough and ready in Hove, and any age, type etc welcome to join Hove's Pussy Posse! I shall just ease his mind on a few points:

I must stand firm on keeping my bits for a bit longer at least, cos my She told me the vet said I could as I haven't yet reached pooberty. And I have to learn how to spray on everything like Mangy Stinky.

oh we quite agree- the Slaves don't seem to like the spraying much but Gorgeous George only does it occassionally, else how would he know where he was? as for your bits- you hang on as long as you can K!

Also - that Pussy Posse sounds more like Pussy Poshy to me, a bit of a closed shop I reckon, what with secret pawshakes and cryptic language and all.

relax! we are not posh but one does need to keep up appearances! and our number grow daily, the latest recruit to the cause is a fine feline from Port Sa lardy (Portslade to Slaves) as for pawshakes well the Paw of Doom (TM) is quite simple- you know when a human is talking and very rudely ignoring you? well you just shove a front paw in their face especially the mouth or sock 'em in the eye- works for me! you can progress to hanging onto their eyebrows with your teeth if the Paw doesn't work!!!

So, come on, you Hove lot, do you want me or not - I'm young, eager, and willing to learn, but I warn you, I cannot compromise my utter common-as-muckness. By the way, I haven't sent my picture as I know I would be inundated with older women wanting to teach my gorgeousness a thing or two. Bye for now, Frank, buddy. P.S. Hoverians, can Mangy Stinky come too????? He's as cool as they come.

You are all welcome, us Hovesters like a bit of rough, the cat equivalent of Vinnie Jones, Ray Winstone or ..........mmmmmeeeeoowww, that's quite enough of that!

we're waiting for the scanner to be fixed so we can send our pics in!

Hey Frank.

Any TV appearances lined up after you get out of that cage?
Get well soon Mr Celebrity

Milo

Frank says: Wel.....maybe.....

Frank

For a relaxing time, I suggest you try Classic FM: Relaxing Classics at Two (2.00 - 4.00pm) or Smooth Classics at Seven (7.00 - 9.00pm). Get well soon.

Hi Frank! We read about you in the March 11 Courier Journal out of Louisville, Kentucky. There was a brief (4 lines) article with your web site url. We insisted on taking a look. Our owner lets the dogs go out, but we can go out only when the weather is nice and she is at home. After reading about your accident, I guess we'll NEVER get to go out. But, hey, we are glad you are recovering and hope you are out and about soon. You sure are getting a lot of notoriety! Happy Spring!

Frank - you rock!!!
You are my hero.
I wish i could be like you!
How do you sleep for so long?

Get well soon so you can sleep in your own bed (or any where else you choose to!)

Hallo Franky, you sleep so cute in that color blanket I came home for lunch and like always had to visit you first. Have a good afternoon I will see you tonight. Irene/Germany

Hi Frank,

You are looking very well today!

We are both sad today as Gizmo, our rabbit friend who lived in the house with us, had to be put to sleep yesterday.

We are now going to be even better friends with his brother Gremlin as he is missing his brother.

Hope you get really well soon

Hiya Frank. Coming up to Cambridge this weekend to stay with my boyfriend's parents - any chance we can pop in?! Glad to see you are getting much better - what will we spend our days looking at when you are better - an empty cage?

Hi Frank, just a quick note before the Easter Break. I hope you get some chocolate mice!

I thought I'd let you know how good your fur is looking today, you are obviously feeling up to doing some serious spring clean washing.

Martha and Araminta sent you a message (all on their own!) a couple of weeks ago and would like me to pass on their feline felicitations now.

Regards to your human parents. See you after Easter.

Love Caroline, "Marth" and "Mint"

Dear Frank,
I haven't been able to check up on you for a few days. In reading your e-mail I was appalled to read the unsigned, (the coward!) e-mail taking your humans to task for loving you and caring for you! Most of us do care, dear Frank, and are upset and embarrassed by those who don't! Most of us feel that our pet family members are as important as our human family members. We will do anything and everything to help them get well, and not count the cost!
Two years ago my darling Beethoven, (my beautiful, white lap kitty,) started having neurological problems. After a CAT scan the doctors discovered a tumor pressing on his brain. It was removed and he remained symptom-free for a year. Then he started having problems again. The tumor had come back. This time we decided to just make him comfortable, (second operations are less successful, and the vets felt chemotherapy would be too stressful for him, he's elderly.) Steroids control most of the symptoms and he's outlived the 3-4 month diagnosis by surviving almost 11 more months. His quality of life is good, and he still plays with our other cat. It has been expensive, but we've had almost two years that we wouldn't have had, so we feel every penny was worth it. (We would spend any amount for our babies as long as their quality of life was good!)
Tell your humans that we are so glad that they have taken the time and the expense of taking care of you and getting the site set up. They're very special people, Frank! You've brought so much joy to all the people who watch you! Give your family a purr and head-butt from us! Love and best wishes, Bubbles, Slick, Rusty, Alex and Tov, (short for Beethoven)
>^..^< >^..^<

We watch out every day for you Frank - speedy recovery! Why not tune in to 'rinse fm' - it's cool!

Just to let you know that you are not the only one going through the wars
at the moment. Hamish McBeth, my little black cat, was hit, for a second time, by a rogue driver. He came home needing a manicure and a wig. He'd lost alot of hair and skin off his head. Poor little monkey. Anyway, after alot of loving and being told that his Alexi Sayle hair (or lack of) really didn't
detract from his usually handsome features, there is now a sign of fine, fluffy
black hair growing back!!! Hurrah!!!! Nolonger the joke over a cup of tea with
friends, he can now walk through the kitchen and hold his head up high.

Plus I must admit that i had abit of an accident resulting in a major hairdressing faux pas with my other cat Samson. Yesterday, during his weekly grooming session,
i espied a knott by his collar. So i got the scissors and proceeded to hack away at the offending matt. When i checked to see if i had cut it all away, i suddenly felt the blood drain to my feet when i saw i had cut into his skin too!!!!! I felt so guilty and immediately furnished him with a tin of best John West tuna. However, this morning, there was no trace of him atall. I think i am in bad books. Today i bought him a new food bowl and sone more tuna. I hope he hasn't left home. I know i am no Nicky Clarke, so i hope he forgives me.

Take care Frank and thank your luck stars. Just think, you could be one of my cats!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Frank! I want you will read this joke.
Teacher You know, children, I think that it is
always better to give than to take.
Nick My father always does so.
Teacher Oh, very nice, Nick! Your father must be
a very good man.
Nick My father? He is a boxer.

Frank says: arf..

Oh Frank, you are soooooo adorable! You are lying on your side, facing the webcam.

I am 22 yrs old, 36/24/34, would you like to lay on my lap? I would stroke you all day and hand-feed you. BIG KISSES XXXXX

Frank says: I'm not saying a word...

What happens when Frank gets better? Do we see him going out and laying waste to the local wildlife like my cats do?

Frank says: maybe

Frank,
Hope that you have a brilliant Easter and best of luck at the vet. We hope that you are out of that cage next week.

Love from your friends, Oliver, Buster, Bootsie, Psycho and Milly

i would like frank to listen to Power FM (103.2FM)

Hi Frank

Glad to see that you are doing so well. Must be somewhat boring sitting in that little cage. Thank goodness you can listen to the radio.

And you have such eclectic taste in music. The classics one day. Rock and Pop the next.

How about alternative? When I am at home working on the computer, I listen to Phantomfm.com from Dublin, Ireland. Give it a try sometime if you have not already done so.

Must get back to work.

Lore

Hi Frank,
Wow you are looking really sleepy today! are you feeling ok or are you just living up to your latin name of catticus sleepicus??

Hope you are feeling well!!

Hey Frankie Baby

Nice to see you looking so alert ! Keep up the good work.

I first read about Frank on http://www.computerandvideogames.com website, yesterday, 27 March 2002. He was mentioned as being only slightly less interesting than a highly anticipated soon to be released videogame.

All the best Frank,

Bailey

I saw on our local news station in Durham, NC - USA, about Frank. I too have cats and hope that he is feeling a lot better!!!! I enjoy checking in to see what he is doing!!!

Hello Frank,
Its me again Ranger the dog. Hope all is well with you.
I have requested a piece of music for you on ClassicFM where I first heard about your accident. Hope its played tomorrow at lunch time. Ranger St. Asaph.N.Wales

Hi David (and Frank!)
I just wanted to applaude you for the great care you've been giving Frank. I've worked as a veterinary technician (and actually will be starting veterinary medical school in the fall) and I know that one of the problems in veterinary medicine is pet owner adherence to prescribed treatments. So many animals suffer from poor recovery because owners lack the time and/or committment for proper care. But you on the other hand, have been so wonderful and your dedication to Frank is very admirable. What's even more wonderful is that you have now set a great example for other pet owners and have spread awareness across borders. Thank you!

Hello Frank, I have been watching you now for about 3 weeks, I am happy to see you are getting better. Keep the chin up baby!!! Loadsa luvs & purrrrrrrrs DEE

Hi sweety. You look happy today. Thanks for my new wallpaper. Sorry about Murkin.

Love Tarja

Hi Frank,

Glad to see you're getting better! When I had a nasty accident with a car, I was left without a tail. Then my humans didn't want me (or my sister but I can understand that cos she's an arsy cow). Luckily 2 other humans came and rescued us from the cage we were in. One of them was called Alex too. Things were going really well till we got an unwanted Xmas present - a new baby brother called Grub! He thinks he owns the place, but I keep him in check. Minnie (my sister) just scowls a lot. Nothing new there then. Keep up the escape plans, and stay away from cars. Keep yer tail up,

Dibble. (Oh, and Minnie and Grub)

Hey Frank, howzit going? It's Maizie here again from Jersey.
Just thought I'd better let you know that my bonkers buddy Sooty has just been admitted to the hospital. He's been running a temperature of 103 degs F and Doc thinks there's something wrong with his tum. I do hope he gets better soon coz I've only just got used to him being around. I'll keep you informed. At least you are looking better!

Regards to all the family - humans too!

Maizie

Hi there fuzzy dude,

Seems, with all this web attention, you'll get enough energy to be chasing butterflies in no time.

My favorite stations to listen to in California are the Pacifica Radio Network stations such as KPFK in Berkeley. Check out their website to choose from their huge variety of diverse programming!

The other fun listening can be had on National Public Radio – I would avoid the war propaganda on their news shows (just turn it off, not conducive to being on the mend). Just listen to all the fun programming.

Happy mending Frank!

Hi Frank,
Looking good today mate, my friend and i have copied your ten cat commandments and will try and abide by them like good cat owners should. I try to visit most days to see how you are keeping, will you be carrying on this website after you have left hospital???? my 4 moggies say hi and hugs all round

Hi Frank -
You look like you are feeling better.
I've been checking on you - you look so comfy snuggling with your new blanket. I'm glad you are doing much better.
Your human friend in Ohio

Frank! You're blank! At least your webcams are - are you away somewhere for the Easter weekend?
Fifi (who has just had a tooth extraction) and Tigerlily (annoyingly healthy) are hoping you're well.

Elfie.

Hello,

We saw Franks picture in the daily mail, and after visiting your website, we would like to know how he is doing.

We hope he gets better soon, as we are both lovers of cats having three cats between us.

Bonnie clyde, and scampi.

All the best april and jan.

Frankiemelad
It's meeeeee Korky again. I've just had a quiet half-hour reading your messages - really mate don't you find some right ones on the .net!!! I don't know. what with candles on cardboard box altars, full moons and jellicle names - very, very strange. Are you sure you should be encouraging this sort of thing??
Also re your cousin Juan Franco, last known - address Tenerife, Canary Islands. Mangy Stinky was only telling me only the other day that there are lots of cats in the Canaries with chunks out of their ears. He speaks Spanish and he heard this cat Jose-Jose say that it's so they can tell which ones have had their "bits" removed as there are a lot of strays. Some might think it's a good idea, but needless to say, you wouldn't catch me within an ass's roar of the place.
By the way, I LOVED the Cat commandments, now there's a cat after my own heart. Must go, I have to meet up with the lads for a pow-wow re my possible move to Hove to join the Poshy Pussy Posse. Next doors have just dug over a flower bed and planted seeds so that seems as good a place as any to meet up. Soft & warm, and we can have a communal wee-wee, etc. after the meeting. I 'll let you know what's been decided. Cheers mate, Korky.

Hi Frank. It`s April the moggy and Clare the daughter after they`ve both had a good night on the tiles.Take care in the future.

Frank I forgot to tell you this sunday 31 of march, is Paola birthday and could you send to she a good purrrrrrrrrr

Hi Frank

You're looking great. We're really pleased to see you looking so bright and chipper.

Good news that you might finally be allowed out of the cage.

Take care of yourself, your owners and the dog.

Bet you and the dog discussed how to inconvenience the owners and their wallet and came up with the plan to hurt his paw.

A bit less drastic than being hit by a car.

Any news on the people who ran you over?

Look after yourself.

Tabby, Weenie, Porky and Macavity. Plus Eaton the dog and Mel and Alf (our servants).

Hi, Frank! Here is Johnny, from Brazil. I´m following you day by day and hoping for your recovering. Get well soon! Johnny

Hello again Frankie, haven't checked in on you for a while but glad to see that you're looking a whole lot better. Stay away from the roads when you get out of hospital. I lost my little sweetheart, Ruby that way.
