Hello there Frankie,
We have been having trouble sending you our picture. But here goes we will try again. My names Burt and I am the big good looking one. Shortie is my friend and she is the little one laying all over me.
We heard about you in the paper here in new Zealand and we wanted to say Get well soon
Woof Woof
Burt and Shortie (English Bulldogs from down under)

Frank says: I think it is there, thankyou

Desejamos que muito breve fiques livre da gaiola e possa correr, pular, subir pelas estantes, além de, naturalmente, comer e dormir. Um cafuné muito carinhoso para você.

Just saying hello to Frank from Hisser, Casper, Lucky, and Junior from Hubert, North Carolina, USA. Luckywas named due to her umbilical cord was around her neck at birth. Her human mother saved her. By some fluke, Hisser cannot purr or meow but hisses to get our attention. ( He is VERY persistant for Pounce treats!!) Good luck Frank. We wish you the best, and hope to see more of you in the future!!
Hisser, Casper, Lucky, and Junior.

Frank says: Oh no poor quiet cat.

Hey Sweet Boy, I see you ae better. Hope you are going home soon. My cat Brinney looks like he could be your cousin, he's a sweetheart, too. Love and tummy pats from me, Cat, and Brinney in Texas.

Get well soon kitty cat.
I hope that you can get well soon,
so you can have a fun time playing around for a
bit. I wrote a poem just for you.

Kitty-cat sleeping the lights are out,
Now it's time to fum about.
Looking in the kitchen for mice stealing cheese,
then scratching off the fleas
Owner snoring you crawl onto his bed
Night night kitty-cat go to bed.

Frank says: haha

GET WELL SOON PUSSY!

Sleep well sweet pussy cat,
Coming forward to carry you home.
Sleep well sweet pussy cat,
Coming forward to carry you home.
I looked over the wall and what did I see
coming forward to carry you home,
I saw me!

Have a nice rest

Hi Frank! This message is from Annie, Sally, Rosy and Lara's "Mum - Ruth" (the "beautiful Burmese of Leeds who you already know and may drop you a line if they get time - sleeping at the mo) if you'd be kind enough to pass it on to "D" in response to the unpleasant anonymous email you received yesterday.

I'd just like to endorse "D's" reponse - this is the first time I have actively taken notice of a particular website and I have ABSOLUTELY no reason to suspect it is a scam of any sort. I am 99.9% sure everything is genuine and cannot identify with such small mindedness as portrayed by the individual who made such a cowardly statement. The world is a sorry place - as we are all well aware since 11/9/01 - and something like this unites like-minded people across the globe - it is refreshing and in a perverse way "fun" (sorry Frank - I'm sure you understand?). Okay perhaps it may seem insignificant to some - but if that particular person feels so bitter about the money they have spent etc etc - VENT IT ELSEWHERE and don't "watch". So sorry they have lost a cat (seriously) but I too (and a multitude of others) have dearly loved, cared for and lost cats, spent vast sums of money on vets' bills etc etc but I honestly don't resent one penny of it.

My husband and I would seriously spend our last penny - and borrow on top - to save our pets and pay someone who has spent many gruelling years qualifying to be a vet and too many long long hours consulting thereafter. I had to have my best friend ever "put to sleep" in July 2000 (I was 19 when I got her as a student and almost 40 when she left me) and my vet was so wonderful - he came to my own home at 9.00 pm on a Friday (off duty at the time) and he made her final moments with me so special - I will never forget my precious Perdita and people like this make me so very very angry and I must say upset.

I'm so very sorry to have to write like this when I have felt so lighthearted about Frank's wonderful recovery (he'll be just fine) - and laughed aloud at some of the messages which have really cheered me up after a hard day's work. I just had to state my case though and back up what D had to say.

I do hope you don't get too many people with that sort of sentiment and please give Frank a cuddle from us all (+ Perdita "Perdi", her litter sister Portia, and Perdi's daughter Josephine who sadly died last year who are all looking down but certainly did lead good lives without too much trauma so think of them as "guardian angelcats"!).

Ruth Town
(and hubby Tony + those Burmese - A, S, L & R!)

Frank says: Thankyou for your support

Oh deary me Frank ... our Mum's got really a little bit cross tonight about that silly email someone sent you accusing your Mum & Dad about all sorts and we've told her to to just "chill out" - for goodness sake she (and her mate) spend money on all sorts of silly things like ... well what are they called ... manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing (whatever that is?), hairdressers (Dad's having that done too tomorrow but it's called a barber??), opticians (ever seen a cat wearing specs?), dentist (oh no ...), doctors (have you seen the price of prescriptions nowadays - we were told to say that), holidays (catteries - help!! but we love it really cos they have peacocks and geese there too), eating out - oh the list is so long we just can't go on!

Now Dad's not into football much but he enjoys Grand Prix and has a model railway in the loft - Mum tolerates all this and we love it when HE gets up to watch races in the middle of the night - great fun!

All we're saying is we appreciate what our Humans do for us really (we think?? - don't we ...) - they do spend lots and lots of money on us and we think we should say THANK YOU (and for the chicken etc) and some humans should just BACK OFF!!

And by the way we hate the "V" (vet) word don't we - but Mum hates this waxing business too yet she still goes through with it for the money - all in the name of vanity! We love her though.

You keep up the good work F and don't let those sorry humans get you down (not your M & D you understand!).

Luv the BBFL XXXX

Well, frank has made it into Texas, USA. My father-in-law (who lives in England) told me all about frank and since we live here with our cat 'Sam' who was born in wales,UK I thought it would be nice to wish Frank all the best from our cat Sam. I don't suppose Frank is too kean on his cage as Sam says he wasn't when he was put in a cage to go on a plane to America. The other alternative would have been that we would have to seperate and that was not an option for either of us.
Hope Frank will feel better soon.
Lots of greetings from Leonie and Sam in Houston, Texas.

Frank says: Thankyou

Hi All,

Joanie from the U.S. here. Tonight on one of the major news broadcasts (ABC) I saw a story about Frank! I am so sorry he was injured but I feel happy that he seems to be recovering nicely.

The website seems lovely, haven't finished looking at all of it yet. Take care or Frank and keep up the good work.

Best to all of you,

Joanie

Hi, Frank:
You look fantastic tonight! I wish I could hold you in my lap and pet you like I do my own sweet cats. I love your website and I think your humans are wonderful cat people. All four of my kitties are rooting for you to get well as quickly as possible.

I saw news about Frank on our news show here. They always try to show something of human interest as the last news story. Today the chose Frank. I don't know how to type a link to it. The site name is Eyewitness News 11.com and click on Don Ross's Journal. They have the video that aired. By the way, I am in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA.

Frank says: Thanks I'll have a dig on the net

Hi Frank,

Lambert (the Yank) asked me to write to you.  He won't be able to sit at the pc for a few days to write himself as he had to see the vet yesterday about an abscess on his bum.  Ughh, it is pretty gross and sitting is really out of the question until it heals a bit; lying on his mat next to the heater is definitely much more comfortable.  He was such a good boy though about letting Dr. Robin tend the sore and about taking his medicines from his mom (me).

Anyway, he wants me to ask you if your vet prescribed daily doses of yogurt?  Dr. Robin said for him to eat some each day while on antibiotics.  Apparently the antibiotics not only kill the bad bacteria but the good ones as well and that he needs the good ones to combat things like diarrhea.

Oh, Lambs just said, "YUCK to the plain yogurt, doesn't it come in fish flavor"?  Hmmmm, I guess being a good boy has its limits, next time I think I'll add some tuna juice to it....yuck, tuna yogurt!  Now there's a product you'll never find in the market!

Well, while I am here, I want to let you know that I read your letters every day and tonight I want to applaud your human for reading the riot act to that butthead who insulted your website calling it a "ridiculous charade" and a "waste of money".  Obviously the butthead is one very unhappy, negative, uninformed and unintelligent person whose only goal in life is to spread his/her poison.

Three cheers to you D for setting that one straight!  Frank and his website bring infectious joy and hope to all of us, and we in turn infect those about us with the same.  Keep up the good work!

My hat is off to you both,

Rene

P.S.  Do you need an artist to design the tee-shirts that have been requested?  I am kind of in between jobs right now and I am a damned good artist with a felinish sense of humor.  All I need is a couple of good clear jpegs of Frank and it'll be done.

Frank says: Thanks, never tried it I'll ask D if he can get some. If you want jpgs for the shirt you could try the wallpaper ones.

Hi Frank! Here i am, safe inside at my favorite bird observation spot. The other kitties decided i'd get to send you my picture first. We all hope that you'll be able to hop up and look out the window yourself someday soon.

Warm furry hugs and noserubs from Virginia, USA,

Good Morning you Handson Devil you :-)))

You are looking pretty purrfect today. Nice and alert and all that.

Nothing new to report today, except Bandit reported seeing a six foot mouse yesterday. (Transmission was garabled and I believe that was what he was saying sex foot did not make any sense..or is there something in the marsh you did not tell us about.

Chin up Frank, and have yourself a purrfect day!!

Hi Frank

I disgraced myself last night on the way to the vets. How was I supposed to know I was being taken to "that place". I'd just eaten and needed to go to the toilet when they pushed me into that box! I showed them but then I fell in it - luckily Mum cleaned me up so I didn't have to wash myself.

Anyway saw a nice vet from Cherrydown and he said my liver has returned to normal and I'm much better but I still need the pills, I can feel much more Dairylea coming my way! Yumm yumm - have you tried Dairylea Frank?

Glad the escape plan worked sorry I missed it!

Take care

Jasper

Frank says: Well done, I'll be there soon.

hi Frankie

just want you to know that I am thinking of you and watching you.

I must say you are very cute looking, don't suppose you prefer gingers?

Frank says: We can give it a try

Hi Frank

I have just woken up from my winter slumber and discovered that you have been in an accident. I was very saddened to hear of your injury but I am glad you are getting better. Make sure that your pet human lets you out of your cage soon.

I think we must be related (my pet humans think that they neutered me 12 years ago but they dont know the full story) I will send you my picutre to your e-mail address.

All the best

Ashtray The Cat (Dorset, England)

Dear Frank
It must feel great being such a celebrity - a bit like Big Brother. I am expecting a baby and, seeing how cute you are, want to name the baby (boy or girl) Frank. My partner is not keen (envious of the time I spend on your web site) and is threatening to leave me. Should I ditch him and get a cat instead. Please advise

Frank says: D&H are having a similar conversation at the moment but they are not talking about Frank. You should listen to your partner, call the child whatever he trhinks is the best name. :-)

Hello Frank,
You are looking a bit brighter today, we will keep in touch. Love Bubble & Squeak Kempxxxxx

Hello Frank, you gorgeous thing you!!
Glad to see you're looking better. My cat Myrtle isn't very well at the moment, either. she has a urinary infection so we're having to give her antibiotics twice a day. She's 14 years old now but looks and acts like a kitten and I know you'd think she was gorgeous if you saw her - she's a bit of a minx! Haven't managed to catch your feeding time yet but you seem to be awake more these days so I know you're getting better :) Keep that furry little chin up sweetheart :) Pixie & Oon, (Westerham, Kent)

Hi there Frank,
How are you feeling today? Better than us, I should think. We are all very sad, our Bonnie died yesterday. You have a picture of her on your messages. (Sat 9th March, Bonnie is the black and white one). She had a good life, and she was a centurion, she would have been 105 on March 31st. Lots of love from, Cindy, Ray, Matthew and Clyde.

Frank says: Oh no, how very sad.

Hi Frank
My dad showed me your web site and I thought I will send you an E-male. I feel sorry for you but I have been through with a hurt cat before because my cat has died by being hit by a car, well I hope you get well soon.

ALOHA FRANKIE, SWEET LITTLE YOU! THINKING OF YOU ALL THE TIME (almost) DOES YOUR FRIEND MARITA ÅBERG, VÄSTERÅS, SWEDEN. HUGS AND KISSES TO YOU!

Hello Frank.
I've a cat called Felix, he's really the same like you. His favorites are also to eat and sleep...He had a very serious car accident, too. His legs were broken and his tail and he had very serious injuries at his mouth, so that he lost the most of his teeth. But he did get well and now he's happy living his lazy life. He and we, too, wish you the best. get well soon.. there's much leisureness waiting for you!!! Love, sandy, Paddy and Felix (Odin, too.)

An article featuring Frank has been published on page 45 of Your Cat Magazine April 2002.

Frank says: I know and I will get it onto the media page.

Little cat you are very nice and cool

Good morning Frank, hope you are doing okay and you are painfree. I read all your nice message people send to you and I know you feel very good about them. Soon you will be all well and you can run around again but don't forget about us. If you let me I will stay in touch to find out from time to time how you are because you became a part of me and my Family and we need to know how our Frank is doing. So now I let you rest and see you later. Love Irene/Germany

Hi Franko! How are you doing?
Can I ask a favor? Can I decorate my homepage with your photos? I have been watching you everyday and I have saved more than 100 photos of you.. Some of them are very cute and some are funny! I will be very happy if you let me to put your pics in my personal webpage!!

Frank says: Please do so, and send us a link

My human was sitting here watching you snooze when she should have been working on her Open Uni stuff - she's a baaaad girl!

I sleep lots too, especially when the feline interloper that she brought home from a cat shelter isn't around 'cos he chases after me all the time and I have to put him in his place. My human plays Classic FM a lot, they have loads of great music and it's really soothing - just what you need when you've have your fur ruffled by a black and white whirlwind!

Get well soon, Frank...

dear Frank I have got our housekeeper Barbara to write to you again. [ Mwg here] Do you have any peachy colour on you 'cos she says I must be a relative and She will send a photo of me. I must be a great great great uncle or something as I am 16 now and the 'senior cat'. I think you'd like Puff the next one down but shes an elderly lady now of 15 and I thinK you'd like a lady a little younger-so how about Tasha our 'baby'? She's only 5 and lively with it.Trouble is she's got a moustache! Felix the other lad is a b/w cat and a bit of an upstart but we forgive him as he lost his really good pal at Christmas , from 'Cat Aids'. It was all very quick and awful for the housekeeper as well. He was a pale ginger called Sunshine. We have all come to live here at different times and at different ages but we all get on-more or less.! GWS from us all and B.

I think Fank should chill out to some smooth cool Jazz becuase he looks like a chilled out cat! Shaun the cat (my cat) Sits every day watching and hoping for Frank to get better each day! Get well soon Nicola & Shaun Meow

Hi Frank, since I left ER i've had a lot of time on my hands, and after I got bored of perving on shakira, I had to find something else to do with my time. Watching your recovery has been like a personal journey of faith for me. Good luck for the future. luv, George.

Frank and owners

on behalf of all the millions of people and cats you have given pleasure to I would like to say "keep up the charade" It has been brilliant to know that in these evil times of gloom, terrorism war etc there are still caring people out there who share a love of each other and all animals.

Your site is entertaining and educational, and it's original intentions came from the heart, to find and thank those that helped Frank.

The bitter person who sent in THAT EMAIL has missed the point totally. I am sad that they had problems with their cat, but they don't sound like real cat people to me.

The way that your simple site has sparked the imagination of millions is truly fantastic. Some top companies and celebs would kill for the publicity you have generated!

Long may you and Frank prosper- and so what if later on the site could be sponsored or earn money- it could be a forum for cat owners with news, views, advice and so on. It could raise money for cat charities- if that's what you want to do. Point is you should do what ever makes you happy. Look at Friends ReUnited- what a success story that is- bet the sender of THAT EMAIL doesn't go there either- it's too puerile for them i bet.

when my cats are ill I always search the net for help, a resource like Cathospital could be a godsend to many. Ignore these idiots!

love Rachel

Oh and the REAL Hove Pussy Posse of Dweezil, Buzz, George and Hoops say- who is this Brighton Boy? Come up and see us some time!! And Frank might like a few days on the coast for recuperation in the warmer months too!!

We've just visited your website, and would like to wish you all the best in getting better. We know how boring being stuck inside is (our cat, Pixel, is staying with her grandma until we finish moving house and so can't go outside), but it will be worth it to get yourself better!

Frank, you have been listening to all different radio stations. So many tunes have reached your furry ears. By now you must have an opinion. Do you prefer Will of Gareth? I did read that Will ate dog food once, but that does not make him a bad person. I know he loves cats

Frank says: I like Will, he is much better

Dear Frank
You're a hit downunder!!! I've just read about you in our Sunday paper here in Brisbane. I was sorry to hear that you were poorly but hope that you are now on the improve. Your namesake, a Himalayan with those "ol' blue eyes" hence the name "Frank", sends purrs and best wishes for your speedy recovery. Perhaps, when your rehabilated you could make a trip down here? Maria , Moet, Muggy, Princess Daisy, Lili and Frank

Frank says: Thankyou

Hello Frank,
We are here in Brazil thinking about your recovery and crossing our paws for you to get better fast. We have already been in hospital before and we know how hard it can be, but your life will be back to normal soon and you will be able to play and run as you did before. Lots of love and greetings from Brazil. Louis and Ester and our owner, Sueli

Hello Frank!

Have not been able to watch you much today and when I did you were sleeping.

Anyway just a quick one to say hope you're feeling ok today and hopefully better than yesterday. (A round about way of saying I hope you're making good progress!)

Bye for now
Helen

Hello again Frank

Tosh here on behalf of the ginger Belmont Brothers. Keep away from the nasty metal monsters - they took our Uncle Steely, Uncle Greebo, Uncle Fester and Auntie Dementia and Cousin Tassie, and made poor Cousin Gabriel very poorly for a long time! Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can, mate!

Hey, Frank! We saw you running around madly at about 22:00 on Saturday. We're glad to see you're getting about. But are you getting what we Yanks call "cabin fever"?

Love,
Rafe & Felix

I reckon that he should go back to listening to Classic FM; it's far more relaxing for post-operative cats than the others. Alternatively, try him out with Radio 3.
