Messages to Frank - 21st Mar
You will know that Nana & Granddad have been on holiday and we thought you would like a picture of your distant cousin Juan Franco who lives at the Parque Don Jose apartment complex in Tenerife.
He has the freedom of the complex and, other than a chunk out of one of his ears, he seems well-fed and content.
He wishes that you could join him for a little rest and recuperation in the sunshine.
Frank says: hoho, just you wait till I see you next...

Frank says: hmm, good idea
Dear Frank,
We were getting a bit worried about you yesterday (19th), because every time we logged on, you were in exactly the same positon in your cage. We were beginning to think THEY had had you stuffed without telling your fans! Catwoman has a 'pretend' cat (as well as 5 siamese-real ones) and it looks like the real thing! It's a copy of Mrs Chippy, the cat who went with Shackleton circa 1914. Strange people, these cat owners! Tonight, I see you are on the move. It's nice to see your face and not your backside. Keep up the good work. love from the 5 siamesesxx
Frank says: I get stuffed full of food twice a day..
To Frank The Magick Cat!
Oh Frank the Paw-perfect one,
Little Savvy-cat a small runt Siamese and my familar friend with her poorly deformed paw has found cat-heaven on Earth with me! Frank! Your owners are just as caring and do not mind expensive vet bills as you are what counts. Now you are famous and Bast the Egyptian Cat-Goddess smiles at you. I am Wiccan and I send you and your owner this cat healing spell and a Ritual to honour you! The media The love you and we all love you!
For Frank ...... a bit of Wiccan Cat magick..
The Cat, (Sacred To Bast, Sacred To Ra aka The Great Cat Of Heliopolis, Sacred To Sehkmet, Sacred To Freya, Use Catnip In Spells Of Beauty Or For Happiness, Beauty, Cat Magic, Moon Magic, Water Magic *I personally have never known of a cat that likes water but some people still believe that cats are for water magic. It comes down to whatever you feel, I guess*) Blessed be Lady Maiya a HPS of Wicca.
A Protective chant for Frank and all felines
Bast of beauty and of grace,
Protectress of the feline race,
Shield (name of pet) from all hurt and harm
And keep him/her always safe and warm.
Watch over (name of pet) from day to day,
And guide him/her home, if he/she should stray.
And grant him/her much happiness
and a good life free of strife and stress.
Blessing Ritual for Frank to aid his recovery and to how him proper respect as a media star.
You will need :
A gold candle(For the God/dress)
A cat figure candle for each cat ( or just a white one)
A favourite incense,
Of course, your kitty
Light the incense and place the candles in the centre of the altar. Cast your circle. Light the gold candle and invoke the Horned God: O God of the wild hunt , consort of the Goddess, I invoke thee, and invite thee, into this circle.
Light the white candle and then, holding your cat, kneel before the altar and recite the following prayer:
O God of the wild hunt,
Father of the woodlands
And loving lord of all creatures
That walk crawl, swim and fly
A threefold blessing I humbly ask
Of thee on this special day:
May this cat's life be a long
Happy and healthy one.
May he always receive
Your divine protection.
And when our incarnations
In this world cease to be
May we forever be reunited
In the great Wiccan otherworld
Known as the Summerland.
Blessed be!
After the prayer has been recited, gaze into the flame of the gold candle and chant three times the name of your cat with the words "Blessed Be". Kiss your kitty and set him down. Give thanks to the
God of the wild hunt in your own way and close the circle.
Spell to Heal Frank's Cat wound
To heal a cat after it's been in a fight or road accident , the Romanies recommended that you first light a blue candle. Place your cat on your lap or let the cat find its own comfortable place to lie. Soothe it with loving strokes until it purrs or appears relaxed and comfortable enough to stay put for five or ten minutes. Close your eyes and pray for a spirit vet (or you may want to call upon Bast the cat Goddess for Her aid) to work through your hands.
After a few minutes you should feel heat emanating from your palms. You may then feel your hands being guided to various parts of your cat's body. Direct them to where they are drawn. Imagine the colours of the rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple - streaming into the cat. Finish by thanking the spirit vet who used your hands to channel healing energy. Then say thanks for the healing saying calling on Bast the cat Goddess images -of Egyptian cats ect . Bast herself many kitty companions for the aid of those sick in this earthly plane.
"Bast, beautiful Guardian of the spirits of all cats from the beginning of time and Goddess also of love and joy, we bring before you___"_Frank_"___ to entrust him to your care. So mote it be! "
Allow the natural recuperating powers of Frank's body to be rejuvenated. Bring light of warmth and comfort to Frank the fur-baby, along with waves of healing"
Frank's Healing Spell
1 brown candle
coriander and sandalwood incense stick or loose burned on a charcoal block see
www.new-moon.demon.co.uk (click link)
for supplies through the post/net if this is hard to get. It has a shopping cart!
To be performed at night during a Waning (getting larger) Moon or Full Moon
Burn the incense and light the candle.
Concentrate on the flame of the candle and say:
"Power of Goodness, love and Light
Power of Healing
On this night
With all my feelings
Make "Frank the cat " feel
My Healing Power
and start to recover faster now
Within the hour.
So mote it be!"
Concentrate on the flame and feel your healing energy go to your pet. Let the candle burn out.
A Ritual Spell to Honour Frank the brave cat Superstar
Supplies:
Optional only - Supplies for casting a circle.= Salt , chalk ect..
Incense: Jasmine, lavender, patchouli, and frankincense. Stick, cone or loose on a charcola disk Bread and ale (or tuna and milk, whatever suits you and your cat) One purple candle.
The Cat. If not in the house (if it is in the vet, or if this is done over a deceased cat) a picture of the cat on the altar. Pic of Frank in this case as we seel just to homour his bravery...
Cast your circle as you usually do it. In my opinion, it's better in this case to cast a circle to include the entire household. Visualizea white circle of light around the house in your mind....
Light the incense in this order:
At the East corner of the circle, light the Lavender incense, and call on the element of Air to purify and protect your ritual. At the South corner of your circle, light the Frankincense and call on the element of Fire to grand protection and power over your ritual. At the West corner of the circle light the Jasmine incense and call on the element of the Water to purify and bless with peace and love your ritual. At the North corner of your circle, light the Patchouli incense and call on the element of Earth to grand peace and love over your ritual.
Stand before your altar and light the purple candle.
Speak these words (or similar ones that suit you better):
Divine Lady, Bast, Cat Headed Mother of humans and cats, I call on you this night to attend this humble ritual I perform in honour of my cat. Divine Lord, Cernunnos, Lord of the Hunt and Father of all wild beasts, I call on you this night to bless with your presence my humble ritual in honour of my cat.
White Witches of all ages, brothers and sisters, who were burned at the stake or tortured along with your poor innocent feline familiars, I call on you to bare witness of this humble ritual I perform in honour of my cat.
Sit down before your altar, and take the kitty in your arms. If kitty is not present, place its picture on your altar, next to the purple candle. And talk to your cat using these words (or similar ones that suit you better):
My beloved cat, my friend and familiar, sometimes in the everyday routine I seem to forget to tell you how much you mean to me. But you never leave my heart, not even for a moment.
When I wake up in the morning, you are there, to check I've got up on time and to share breakfast with me. For this I love you. When I come home from work, you wait for me at the door to welcome me home. For this I love you. When I sit at my desk working, you sit in my lap to keep me company. For this I love you. When I go do bed at night, you come with me and lay peacefully on my feet, keeping me worm. For this I love you. While I sleep, you check on my breath and you check on every strange sound to warn me of any harm. For this I love you. When you play with the other cats or just chasing a fly, you make me laugh and cast a sunbeam in my life. For this I love you. When you sleep peacefully in the sun, looking so cute and I adorable, I feel my love will bleed with affection. For this I love you. When I'm meditating and my soul travels in the astral plains, you stand guard by my body to scare the evil spirits away. For this I love you. When I feel like the world has taken the best of me, drowned in despair and fearing to face another day, you jump on my chest and wash my tears way. For this I love you.
Sometime in the future, and may the Divine Ones make it to be as far as possible, we will part from each other, and one of us will leave this plain for the Land of the Young. But no matter how many lifetimes will pass, I know that someday we'll meet again, in some other time, and some other place. May the God and Goddess keep you safe, my little one.
Close the ritual with a feast shared by you and your cat.
Note: this is an excellent time to give a protection crystal or charm collar to your cat. (see below to make one.)
Close circle and return offerings to earth by burying them . Gather candle and incense remains to a small bag and keep it near your altar as a Protection amulet . (Use a small table or upturned box as an altar if you like; and put shiny things, Egyptian things and cat nip offering on it for Bast )
A Magick Pet Collar For Frank The Cat Or Your Own Cat To Protect him/her.
This spell should be done during the waxing moon to Full Moon.
What you need:
1 yellow candle
candle holder
matches
1 Amethyst stone (fairly small)
1 Brown collar apple, peach or lavender oil
5 silver paper clips (You may use jewellery-making
wire but it won't be nearly
as strong as the paper clips, which are unbelievable
hard to bend and shape
but it is possible)
brown fabric paint
Needle-Noses Pliers
- Light the candle. Take four or the five paper clips and bend them all out as
straight as possible (use the needle-nosed pliers).
- Now take the paperclips and (do what feels right to you) wrap the stone as
you would a crystal. Chant the following while doing this:
"This collar I have made by hand shall protect my
pet, all evil shall be
banned. It will keep him/her in good health and
always loved it is a source
of good luck that is always watching from above. No
harm shall ever come to
my pet. And m will, So mote it be!"
- Anoint the collar with the oil you have chosen.
- Attach the wrapped stone to the collar (like you would a license tag).
I used this spell in a protection ritual for a house and its inhabitants, including the cat. In the spell spells, Hecate is called upon for her fierce protective attributes. I've explained the circumstances, but you would want to make changes to fit the circumstances and characteristics of your cat
Note: Please make the collar large enough for the cat to slip off should it get caught up on a tree branch for instance. Cats have been strangled by collars. My cats have a micro chip inserted so they can be traced.
Cat Magick is the the focus of much magical lore as well as superstition. Cats seem to constantly be in harmony with the higher planes of reality, they can sense spirits, faeries, and energies far more acutely than their human companions. They are wise but critical guides who expect nothing but purrfection from their students. Because of their unique connection to the spiritual world they are excellently placed to help you realise your goals.
A SPELL TO BECOME CLOSER TO YOUR CAT
Preparation: Work with brown candles. Take the following herbs and empower each with its meaning and becoming closer to your pet/familiar in mind. Try Pet and Health Foods shops or garden for the herbs
Catnip-Helps create a bond between you
Vervain or Lavender-For Peace and Protection
A Gardenia flower -For Spirituality
Saffron (a kitchen spice)-For Strength
Love Seed-For Friendship
Some Cinnamon or onePassion Flower-For the warmth of your Friendship
Spell Working:
Take 1/2 of the empowered herbs and wrap in a small square of brown cloth and tie it off with a brown cord or string. Take the other half and make a smaller sachet for your pet. Wear yours four days meditating with your pet at least once a day. You can tie the pets sachet on while meditating. After those four days take all the herbs and burn as an incense while sharing a meal with your pet.
Blessed be .... Cat Magick sent by Lady Maiya HPS (White Witch and Healer...)
P.S.
To keep your cats free from fleas, soak garlic in olive oil and mix a tablespoon of the oil in with their food daily. (I would add that, while you soak the garlic and whenever you place it in the cat's dish, you might visualize the fleas jumping off the cat and never coming
Frank says: thankyou
Eu, minha gata Bibi e seus três filhotinhos, Nino, Chumbinho e Sapinho desejamos a você querido FRANK mil beijos e melhoras urgente!!
Hi Frank
My mommy told me about you and I hope you are feeling better and will be able to go home soon. I'm a Swedish cat that moved to the US almost 2 years ago and I had to be in a small cage for 18 hours which was horrible. I can't even imagine being in a large cage for as long as you are. Keep up the good spirits, get well soon and make them give you lots of candy. Charlie (through mommy Chri)

Hi, Frank
We are 4 little cats from Brazil and we hope you get better soon!!!!!!
Hi Frank,
My human checked in on you today and you are looking good. Yes, I really do think that we are related. Not only do we look like each other, I do get sleepy a lot.
Love,
Your cousin Nesta
P.S. I am named for Bob Nestor Marley
Frank says: Good person to be named after..
Dear Frank,
I noticed an omission on your list of media coverage. I heard about your accident and subsequent web site fame on KNX AM Radio from Los Angeles, USA on March 12. I thought you would like to add that information to your growing list of world-wide coverage.
Good luck with your continued recovery.

Hi Frank, I have been checking you out every evening Pacific time. Long past
your bedtime of course. You are beautiful. Expecially now since I saw you
facing the camera when I checked in this evening 3/20. I hope you are doing much better. You are amazing, but then again they say cats have 9 lives. I have 5 little lovers (LOL) well most of the time. And I think your
owner is a trooper. I had 1 with a broken leg, and it took 12 weeks for it to heal. She still limps at times. But it works for her. She does use it also, since I know she climbs the 6 foot fence surrounding the house. Oops got dogs also. Get well soon and do what cats like to do in the UK. Mine like mice and birds and sleeping, and food. Specially the kitty treats. Hope you are getting lots of treats, I see all the
love and attention. Get Well Soon. And don't go away after you are well. My love to all animals.
Shawn

Dear Frank, my fur person is named Brinney and I think you two might be cousins you look so much alike. I am sending cyber kittie treats, kisses and tummy pats (when you feel up to such things) and wish you well. Be brave, this too shall pass. Love from Texas
Good Luck to you
Franky: Your Hove mates, Korky and Brighton Boy, are quite the characters, aren't they? I notice you have lots of friends from Hove - is it nearby? Some one from Hove made the papers here across the pond recently, but it wasn't good news at all :-0 You look like you're putting a bit of weight back on, and it's good to hear that you're able to run around, even if you're not supposed to. Kisses, prrrrts, and meows from Carol and her gang.
Frank says: No we live about 120 miles away from Hove, but D&H used to live there. Yes I am getting a little bit porky again...
Hi Frank, I am a catlover in Portland. Or USA with an allergic roommate and an anal landlord (cheap rent and excellent house/location are the dubious counter-benefits.) My cat Boo-Boo was killed by a car on my birthday several years ago, so it's nice to hear about happy endings. Sounds like you're surrounded by lots of direct and cyber-love--best of luck to you! Of course I can't suggest a radio station for you to listen to, but perhaps you could convince your humans to sing the classic 60s Cat Surfing Song:
POP-POP-POP-OOH-MEOW-MEOW-POP-POP-OOH-MEOW-MEOW!
(Make them repeat indefinitely until you purr, sleep, or have to take a poo.)
Frank says: It will be sleep or a poo, or both
Frank
you're looking very lively this morning which is lovely to see.

NICE TO FINALLY SEE YOUR FACE FRANK!!!
Good morning Frank
Hope you have sunshine too - I am impressed by your message search - found me twice - and so I could see what you or your helper had written!
Visited your 'Toy' area too - I have a friend with a D.O.G. as he likes the calendars.
Got to get some sleep now - I've been on nights.
Pleased to read you are managing to stretch a bit outside the cage. I realise you must be getting crazy couped up, but keep up the good work - it's work it in the end.
Lots of love

dear frank,
here is a message from australia. barbara and john, and their cat darius send you best wishes and much love for a speedy recovery. darius would like a pen pal if you are interested - when you are fully recovered of course.
I would like to know what kind of food Frank eats?
Have a nice day!
Frank says: Whiskas
Hey, hot stuff!
I think I might be able to line up a bit of a blind date for you when your out of hospital, if you're interested? I have 2 lovely looking felines gagging to be introduced to you. They say you look so athletic and fit and what with your accident and all they think that you could do with some extra lovin'! They're curvy, voluptuous women with a pedigree nature and fancy you like mad - all you have to do is choose which one to go out with first! So, when you're feeling better, drop me a line and I'll fix it up for you! Get well soon - Love Jo x
Frank says: Ding Dong!!!!!
Frank, you so crazy! any chance of getting some lady cats in on this little big brother scheme, could provide good viewing and would aid your recovery - all that pelvic thrusting and all! see you around
ali
Frank says: All that pelvis thrusting might be a bit of a setback, fun though :-)

Haven't spoken for a while as we were taken on a small holiday to our grandcatparents and tomorrow we are going on holiday again to one of those cattery places - will be able to emapthise completely with the cage thing then!
You certainly look as though you are improving and you even get to listen to different radio stations. Normally for us its Radio 2 all day, which is OK.
We are cat-praying that your improvements are slow but sure and will speak to you again next week.
Take care
Kedi, Poods and Mandu too

Dear Frank,
I hope you get well soon. I check on your progress throughout the day, and hope that you are not in any pain.

Anyway, please get well soon sweetie,
Lots of love,

Hi Frank, our names are Oliver, Bootsie, Buster and Pyscho. we're very annoyed with our sister Milly, because she brought a live mouse into the house last night and our mum spent almost 2 hours looking for it. Boy was that fun!! Well, today mum has gone to work and hasn't left the radio on. She reckons that Milly must be punished for being a naughty kitty. So we're sitting here in silence! Take care Frank, you're looking great!
Hi again Frank,
Glad to hear your feeling more like a cat and starting to bounce around. My mum isn't very happy with me [Honey] as she's muttering about travelling to Battersea Dogs Home with me soon as I keep leaving pressies for her on her bed. BB isn't happy either as I keep trying to greet her and all she does is hiss at me. Is it BO? Do you want a cage mate for a while?
Mum says to stop using her computer so will have to go. Lots of licks and purrs, Honey.
Frank says: If you have BO you'll have to wash first.
Dear Frank.
Sorry to hear about your accident.
Get well soon Love from

Hi Frank,
I'm addicted to your website. Cat therapy! I've noticed that one of the cams seems to have a pink filter on it now - why is that? It makes the picture less clear so I can't appreciate your full beauty properly!
Get well soon (though I'll miss you when you do!)

Frank says: It is no a filter it is a 'clever' cam which is supposed to adjust to the light...
Dear Frank,

Hello Frank,
My name's Bertie - though I'm a girl cat. I was born in the end of garden and my mum and dad and brothers and sisters disappeared. I was found all on my own by a kindly person who took me to the vet and though it was touch and go for a while I'm now 100%
So - there is a future for us all as long as we get some TLC. I'm 5 months old now and don't take any prisoners from my new owners - indeed, there's nothing I like more than to go completely bonkers and run round their flat at 90 MPH - before settling down and attacking my owners with claws and jaws for having the temerity to try and stroke me.
I too enjoy sleeping as well - but only when my owners are out. They are thinking of getting a 'bertiecam' installed for me too so they can check up on what i get up to when they're out - as if that'll get me! duh - humans...
Anyway - do please get well Frank!
Love Bertie xxx
Frank says: Thanks Bertie
Get well soon Frank! My kitties and hope your recovery is speedy and all of those nice messages make you feel purrfect.

I hope you're feeling OK today.
I'm not sure if anyone has told you but my Mum tells me that you are in this week's Morecambe Visitor in the Entertainment section. You are one famous cat!
Take it easy.
Alison
Frank says: Excellent
We hope that you are feeling better and that you will be out and about soon.

Hi Frank, I have one tomcat Filip and he is ill too. He has bladder stones and he can´t pass water. Last week he was in the same cage as you (in Czech Republic) and now I have him at home. I wish you early recovery.
Bye Stepanka (Filip´s mistress)
I am so sorry for my English.....
Frank says: ouchouch, poor cat
We have been looking at you on the internet in school and you were sleeping. We saw your x-rays and now we are quite worried about you. We think that it must have hurt, are you still hurting now, we hope not.
You look very nice when you are sleeping. Please can you be awake tomorrow when we look at you at 10 o'clock?
Hope you get better soon, we love you Frank the Cat!
Love From Year 1 and Year 2 at Haverigg Primary School in Cumbria. xxxxx
Frank says: Hello Haverigg Primary, I'll do my best, D is from Cumbria and says it's great...
Sometimes we also are sleeping. Smulan and Nilla in Västerås, Sweden.
When will you update the readers pets section
Frank says: We started yesterday, it should be complete by the end of the weekend.
dear frank,
my daddy had the same accident as you and at about your age too but was hurt a bit worser as he had a broken shoulder and smashed jaw as well. he was determined to live and crawled back to his human mummy, even getting in the cat-flap! the vet wired him all back together but he had to live in the carry basket so you're lucky to have a nice spacious cage! he lived a good long life, finally slipping off last summer at the age of 15 1/2. i'm doing pretty well too as i will be 16 on april 7th and have managed to avoid cars. i did have some bother with my teeth recently and you should ask you human daddy to learn you about cat toothpaste and brushing or sign up for regular dentals as poorly teeth are truely horrid. lots of purrs - sammy
Frank says: brushing my teeth, I'll have their arms off!
Is there any chance that people could buy a T-shirt with a slogan on the front. Perhaps a picture of frank, with "I love Frank" and the webpage address?? The proceeds would help to pay for his vet treatment.
Frank says: It's a good plan, and we are thinking about it, how are you now?
heart FM for Frank (Classic makes him sleep)
Frank says: hahazxzzzzzz
Hi Frank, I've been watching you instead of writing an essay for uni cos you are so sweet. Hope you feel better soon. Im sure you will! Love Liz xx

Frank says: Thankyou
Hi Frank! Hope your feeling much better - not much longer to go til you'll be up and about and running round the house again, keeping those mutts under control! I was in hospital after a road accident - I lost an eye - but apart from that I made a full recovery. It was really annoying being kept in a cage to recover, but you get used to it. I'm now in perfect health, and get lots of love and cuddles from my owner. Take care, big purrs
Tiddles xx

Get well soon Frank. You look like you are not breathing. Listen to magic 11.52 as they play some classics. If you father any kittens can I have one?
Hi, Frank:
Our human mom has been updating us about you, and we just wanted to write ourselves and let you know we're thinking about you! My name's Jasmine and I'm a black tabby Maine Coon cat, and also top feline of this clowder. The other cats are named Tansy, Ivy, Pepper, Clover, Saffron, Willow and Baxter, who was a bad boy last weekend and got out. Our human Joey brought him home after almost hitting him with the van! Before coming to live here, I lived in the woods at the edge of town, where I got burned by some chemicals. It's taken more than a year and a half for my skin to heal and the fur to grow back (I looked like Mr. Bigglesworth from the "Austin Powers" movies), so I know what it's like to be an invalid. But be patient -- you've eventually be all better! But you should stay indoors from now on, like I do. It's safer! Love, licks and purrs, Jasmine in Chesterton, Ind., USA
P.S.: My human mom typed this for me, wasn't that nice? No opposible thumbs makes it hard to use a keyboard.
Frank says: ouch
Are you going to print the calendar?
Frank says: hmm, maybe

You are such a sweet little cat! Cats just are the best! I just can´t stop having a look at you - at least once a day. I do hope your "family" will continue to put pictures of you after your recovery every now and then.
Best wishes,
Elin
Dear Frank
We are so sorry that you have been "caged" for a while. By the time you are allowed out, the weather will be perfect for sitting out. In the meantime, keep your spirits up and think of all the people who are rooting for you. Cheers mate.

Hi Frank!
Hope you are feeling much better today! I am enjoying living with my Mum, Jayne, and my other cat "brother", Runner, in Manning, South Carolina. I also have two canine "family" members, Nick (female Jack Russell) and Eewok (female Yorkie).
I was just a little stray kitten when my Mum found me in a car sales lot. I was left to die by someone who had run me over by a car, too. And, like you, I was very lucky, too. My Mum picked me up and took me to the vet. The vet said I would be fine because my spinal cord had not been severed, and I am doing terrificly well eight years on!
I "scoot" along just fine -- one of my hind legs drags straight behind me and the other hind leg is used like a bit of a rudder. Yeah, I look kind of like a crab when I walk, too. But I can jump up on a low ottoman and walk across my Mom's glass top table and then jump to either the sofa or a nice comfy chair. I am quite strong in my front legs!
I know you will be just fine, my friend. You have so many friends around the world thinking of you, and that is really nice! Most important, you have some terrific humans who are taking really great care of you! So I know you will show them what a "fighter" you are, and you will show them what we "cats" are made of -- tough stuff!
Meow on, buddy!

Isn't Frank sick of his cage and what a ridiculous charade this is. For goodness sake, there are sick cats all over the country, mine recently died from cancer after we tried to save him and spent nearly a thousand pounds. Wouldn't your money be better spent on helping us get a veterinary body set up to regulate the extortionate costs to ordinary people who love and want to do the best for their pets.
Shame upon you.
Frank says: (this is D) It is very annoying when we get emails like this from people who don't bother to understand the facts and then are too cowardly to send in their email address so I can converse with them off line.
To address your points.
You say: 'Isn't Frank sick of his cage'
I respond: Of course he is you idiot, the only reason he is there is to help his pelvis heal. As soon as we get the go ahead from the vet he will be out of it.
You say:'what a ridiculous charade this is'
I respond: Are you saying this is just a scam? If you'd like to send a vet over to examine Frank to clarify the extent of his injuries then please do so.
You say:' For goodness sake, there are sick cats all over the country'
I respond: Correct, there are and it is very sad. As you know Frank is a rescue cat (assuming you have taken the time to read the site before sending in your little diatribe) we are aware of the plight of animals in the UK (not just cats either).
You say:'mine recently died from cancer after we tried to save him and spent nearly a thousand pounds'
I Respond: I'm sorry to hear that, it is terrible to see an animal suffer and I can understand how you can easily end up with huge vet bills, as we have done.
You say:'Wouldn't your money be better spent on helping us get a veterinary body set up to regulate the extortionate costs to ordinary people who love and want to do the best for their pets.'
I respond:'What money?? The money we have spent on Franks treatment? So our cat cat can go untreated and die? What good will that do? Or do you think I have spent vast amounts on the site? If so then you are once again very mistaken. The site costs nothing, it is maintained by myself and some friends in our spare time. Or do you mean the vast income we get from the site? What income? There is no sponsorship on the site, were we to get any then I would use it to pay off the vets bill and the rest would be donated to an animal charity.
Cathospital was started so we could find the people who rescued Frank and our friends could keep an eye on him. It has generated a huge following and by doing so has increased awareness of the plight of sick animals.
If you wish to respond then please do so but include your email address or you will be ignored.
Dear Frank
You should try listening to Melody FM you would really like it - it is very soothing music and I like listening to it when I am watching you on my computer.

Hi Frank,
So sorry you have to stay so long in your cage but its for the best. You need to get better so you can go out chasing those pesky mice again, I advise however that you stay away from the main road and cars in general. We watch you almost everyday to see how you are and look forward to seeing you up and about.
Love,
Your friends in Newcastle

I'M GLAD THAT YOUR ON THE MEND....I HOPE THAT YOU WILL KEEP AWAY FROM THOSE NASTY, NOISY MONSTERS THAT HAVE FOUR ROUND PAWS IN FUTURE!
I ALSO HOPE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TOO MANY SCRAS...BUT THEN FEMALE CATS MAY THINK THAT YOU ARE NOW EXTRA TOUGH AND SEXY WITH A SCAR?
MY BOYFRIEND GARY LEFT YOU A MESSAGE RECENTLY AND EXPLAINED ABOUT OUR CAT MUTINY (NICK NAME SNOWY OR MR SNOW) HAVING HAD A NASTY FIGHT WITH HIS NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS ( THE FIERCE BLACK CATS).

MUTINY AND HIS ONE EYED BUDDY, MORRIS(2ND HAND CAT FROM THE CATS P.LEAGUE...SOME NASTY CHILD AT HER PREVIOUS HOME HAD POKED HER EYE AND SHE'S NOW 1/2 BLIND)..BOTH SAY "MIAOW MIAOW MIAOW"..I THINK THAT MEANS "GET WELL SOON"

Hello Frank.
I hope you feel better soon, I have been coming to look at the webcam everyday. So I thought I would say hi, and I recommend listening to radio 1. It keeps me entertained during the day, and if your lucky you might hear Gareth sing his 'unchained melody.' I send my love, a big hug and kiss. Love Rachel X X X
Frank says: hi
Here is a funny for you, Frank. It's not me, as I'm black with a couple of white spots. I've recovered from my cat bite, and I'm out and about again. It's been raining a lot here. Love, Christmas in Nashville, TN.

Barbara Mathieson,
Hi Frank,
you went one better than me moving that pin! I only managed to pull my stitches out in the first couple of hours when my humans sent me to the vet to have some bits taken out of me (they seemed to think I didn't need them). They got very excited when they saw the hole in my side and hauled me back in to the vet, who put some more stitches in. Spent two weeks with a lampshade round my neck - hiss, spit, meaouw! Couldn't wash, couldn't scratch - horrible.
But now I'm all better and the fur's almost grown back. Yours soon will too - keep up the good recovery work and the good sleeping!
Love from Mischa (Bengal cat aka posh spotted tabby)
Frank says: Oh I never thought to eat the stitches.
Frank should listen to the cool sounds of SAGA 105.7fm. For plenty of hip cool tunes, and traditional favourites to help his click his paws.
Frank says: ok
Hey Frank,
You missed out the Radio 5 interview in your Media section - that's how I found out about you !!

Hi Frank
Glad to see you are up and about a bit more today. I had an accident last year and the vet had to remove one of my toes so I know what it is like to be stuck indoors.
Hope you can come out of your cage soon - but does that mean we won't see you anymore?
See ya

Frank says: oh no, no toe
Hi Frank - you look like a no-nonsense kind of a cat and I hope you get better soon.

Frank might like to try listening to www.Operadio.com if he liked Classic FM.
We are concerned that every time we log on you are asleep but we've come to the conclusion that you must be e-mailing everyone during the night thus making you tired. We are also concerned that you haven't opened your bowels. Are you constipated??? If so we have just the thing to clear you out!!!! Just let us know if you need it.

Hi, Frank! Our six cats are all rooting for your quick recover. They asked to visit you, so we had to explain that you were in the UK, quite a distance from the US. However, if you ever feel up to traveling to their country, they'd be happy to share a food bowl and cat pan with you!
Good luck to you, buddy!

Frank, sorry to hear about your little accident. The two of us stay in the garden because it is safer there; you may be well advised to do that in the future as well. Just wanted to remind you that Animal Hospital is on the telly tonight. Our humans always see it, and we get special strokes as they watch. Get well soon.
Love Chester & Katie.
PS: Note from Chester: Katie was thinking of asking you out, but she is going to the vets next week to be 'done'. Not quite sure what that means, but our humans tell us that she may not be so interested in Frank after that.
Frank says: oh well we'd better get together soon
Dear Frank,
So sorry to hear you are under the weather and have got a poorly pelvic after your last bout of car karate. To help you pass time away I recommend you listen to Magical Mister Mastoffales on Magic 828.

Glad to see you are awake! Us felines need our sleep you know. My feline friends and I were just wondering how long before one of these humans attachs a webcam to our head so that we can be followed wherever we go and they can see just what we get up to! Perish the thought! Get well soon, Love Buddy, Lucy, Tom and Scrounger.
Hi, been watching frank for a wee bit now and this is the first time I've seen him awake - what a hansome cat he is!!! Good to see he is making progress. It makes me worry about my own cats, although the eldest is 14 now and dosn't go near anyone, let alone cars - she's such a scaredy cat. My new cat is only 7months old though and he likes hanging out with all the local children and trys to make friends with random dogs and things - either no sense or too brave, I'm not sure which!! Anyway get well soon Frank you sexy puss you!
Frank!
How do you do that???!!
I was just celebrating the fact that's you were finally sitting up after a DAY asleep and then you disappeared right in front of my eyes! Pouf! Gone! Is this your magical escape plan?! Glad to see you're doing well Nesbit
Frank says: I was on the bog
What a relief to see you are listening to Classic FM today - so much more relaxing than that nasty old Jazz station.
You are looking good today, Frank. I've caught you mid-yawn!
Please thank your humanoid for me for sending me another news update and some pictures. He seems like a nice kind man. There are some super photos there - even one of a Birman who looks just like our beautiful Oliver, who died recently.
Hopefully you won't mind but I put a link on our website so that our clients can also visit you.
Its good to hear that you are having more opportunities to get out of your cage, and that in just a couple of weeks you can be out altogether.
Be good, then. All the best

Yup. You came back and now you've gone again Frank - only this time I caught you as you left! It's great from your news page that you're getting out and about more - this is obviously one of those afternoon constitutionals. I'll miss you when you're gone (but glad that you'll be recovered) Nesbit

We suggest that Frank would like to listen to The Bear which is the local radio station broadcasting from Stratford upon Avon. We can only just pick it up approximately 20 miles away so we hope that you have a good aerial! Another excellent station is Heart FM broadcasting from Birmingham city centre on 100.7. This is a good strong signal and the station broadcasts good old songs from the seventies etc. David attended Queens College Cambridge so we will try to receive Cambridge's radio station from here. Love to Frank and owners.
Dear Frank,
My two children and our two Siamese cats are always wayching you little fur person. We have posted your story to our cat club on the net.

Dear Frank
I hope that you are feeling a lot better and that your humans are taking good care of you. You look OK in your cage but I bet you are getting a bit bored. I brought in a frog today for my 'mum' and she wasn't too pleased. I didn't kill it, I just wanted to play with it, but she took it off me. Oh well, at least I'm not stuck in a cage all day!! Take care, love Oscar xx
Get well soon Frank!!!!

>Thursday 21st Come on then who saw Frank running about last night??
>
I didn't, unfortunately. I did see him the other day though when he was playing with his new toy, the cat spa!
I'll take this opportunity to congratulate you on a great site. I think it's wonderful what you've done with it, and also how you've taken care of Frank; he's quite a lucky cat (except for his accident of course). Do you have any plans for a web site for him after his recovery is complete? Now that one has gotten to know him so well, it would be fun to follow him in the future as well.
Best wishes to Frank, and his human caretakers of course!
Cheers,
/Anders
PS I have two cats of my own; two brothers who, not being castrated, aren't around much this time of the year. Most of the rest of the year they're at home though and are really wonderful companions..
Frank says: Not sure what will happen to it, but something...
Dear Frank,
My mummy and I have recently read in the paper about your unfortunate accident and we have finally found your web site after looking for a while. We, like many of your other devoted fans will be following your progress whilst you are recovering in your cage. We send you our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery Love Tabitha (tabsy) the Tabby Cat xxxx
Hi Frank - how's your day been? We had a bit of real life drama this morning. An intruder (big fat tabby with dodgy thin tail) got in through the cat flap. He really set about Charlie - Dinner lady/Carer Pauline foolishly tried to separate them and got er leg really deeply scratched - loads of blood - she likes to think us cats knewnsomething bad had happened. She ended up going " up the hospital " as the man human looked at it and said she should - after us cats have the powers of injecting poison when we scratch bad. She has had tetanus jabs and antibiotic things they give us and seems Ok now. .An early Good Night and God Bless from us all. Charlie, Tabsand Spider. PS Luckilly she had given us our breakfasts before it happened otherwise it would have been even more of a crisis!!!
Dear Frank,
Me and two of my brothers are watching you everyday on your web and happy to see you are in progress. I would love to see you jumping up and down again soon, that's cat's pride, isn't it, so keep up!
Dao Dao from California
hope you are feeling better frank.we worry the life out of our owner by crossing the road.we are so curious of the other side, but some people just dont look out for us.we were very sad to here your story, although glad that you are now on the road to recovery.maybe this website will make those humans drive more carefully and help us if we are in trouble.we here are all thinking of you and wish you well.we will keep in touch with your progress.GET WELL SOON.xxxx
Hi Frank!
Any excuse to put your paws up hey! No, I'm only joking. I am owned by 2 enormous black and white moggies called Coco and Millie (Unfortunate name for a boy). When Coco was less than a year old he decided to take a lithium tablet. Needless to say he wasn't a well puss, a drip in his paw and a hospital stay. Since then he hasn't stopped eating and now weighs over a stone so watch you're waistline when you get out of hospital. I hope your owners have you insured, cause it costs a lot to stay in a tiny cage, believe it or not! Coco and Millie send wet nose kisses and we all hope you're back to your usual self soon!xxx
This is a message for David. I've posted you Franks blanket today in a jiffy bag on 1st class. Hope you receive it. My writing was a bit off and I really would have like to put a piece of selotape on the back of the packet. I've tried to send you an email but have an mismn error.

Love from two Cheshire cats

Hi Frank, well I'm glad you're getting better and I must say that you seem to be coping with being the most famous cat since Top Cat. Does your human have to employ someone to sort your mail? You have gone truly global. Well now you are interstellar too as I am a cat who lives on Mars. Yes Mars. The choccy bar anyway. I love them. of course I don't live on the planet Mars. That would be daft. I actually live on the Moon. keep on keepin on Space Cadet.
MIAOWWWWWWW.
Frankeeeeeeeeeeee
Gerrup there's an alien in yer cage! He's all green and pointy an' I don't like the cut of him one bit. Bring back the blue mouse, I say. Catch ya later, buddy, I'm pooped after all the froggin' last night. (Final score, Mangy Stinky, 2 - Korky 1 & a few tadpoles). K. P.S. Resist the alien.
Frank says: Alien...??? Where? Oh that...we were trying to put night a new light in so we could see in the dark....
Hi Frank, Sorry not to have been in touch for a couple of days but I've been feeling a little low and not much like being sociable. Very selfish as you are the one not well but I did not want to be boring and upset you as I'm usually so on top of it.
I've spent a couple of days on my own, during the daytime, and I've been sleeping a lot and not been out to tell you any tales of my hauntings. Tomorrow we have some humans coming, they knock things down and build them again - stupid eh!They are making us a new door so I will be able to go in and out without having to worry about the cat flap.
I haven't yet told you this but I live on a very, very busy main road, by a crossroads with traffic lights, traffic thunder past, cars, vans, lorries, buses, coaches, etc etc but I never, never go near the road 'cause my humans have always said 'No' so I had to believe something wasn't right out there. I bet you live on a quiet road though don't you so you can have an argument with a car even then.
Write again soon
Luv, Rangi
Frank says: Hi Rangi, you are very clever, stay off the road..

Hi, Frank! I was a 4 week old feral when I was attacked by a dog. My human Dad saved me and our wonderful vets saved my life! My leg is turned out a little but I am a healthy, HAPPY boy almost 2 years later! You will be fine because so many people love you! Meow and Love, Cubby... Beverly Hills, California, USA

Hello Frank! I hope you get better soon and that you get back to doing all the normal catty things that makes us love you so much.
I'm sure you're getting treated like royalty, just like all cats, and I bet you're lapping up the attention.
Just remember keep purring and get lots of sleep........ oh you've already taken the advice of the latter. Hehe.
When you're asleep, sleep well and when you're awake keep smiling and the usual feline manner!
Love from Helen (and my mum)
Dear Frank, my owner wants to know if you will be writing a book about your experiences, with illustrations possibly once the VET allows it? The news about your attacking of the Human was very heart-warming! Sweet Dreams,Smartie.
ps they named me after something called chocolate, can't think why because it tasted horrible when I tried too steal the little human's! My partner in crime is called Bounty.....
Frank says: maybe...

Hello again Frank!
Just sending you another message (within 4 mins of the other one) to suggest a good radio station for you to listen to. Its called Jazz fm 102.20. Our guinea pigs like it makes them really chilled out which is what you probably need at the moment.
Have fun listening.
Get Well Soon
Helen

Hey Frank,
Get well soon.
Hope you are getting better.
Have a listen to Q1FM.
That might brighten you up a bit.
Bye Bye.
Hello Frank!
Just thought I'd send you a picture of another little Frankie that I knew.
He was my little baby, my absolute pride and joy. We rescued him in 1996
because his owner had just disappeared. We gave him a good life with the
freedom to go out when he pleased, took him a while to learn how to use the
cat flap though.
Unfortunately he died a week before Christmas 2000 of bladder cancer aged
just 10. I still blow his picture a kiss goodnight every night.
But seeing you on your website has made me smile. Seeing you do so well
after such a nasty experience. I hope you continue to make fantastic
progress, and I'll probably be checking on you every day now.
Love from Helen (again) (and Frank, wherever he is)
xxxxx
Hello Frank. We all hope you are feeling better. Just think, when you are feeling 100% you will have a new chat up line for the girls! You will be abe to invite them up to see your x-rays!!! better than etchings anyday!!! Lots of love, kisses and tickles. Denise, Ebony, fidgt, Fudge, Khan, Dougal and Charlie.
Dear Frank,
My name is 'Serendipity' (you can call me Dipity).
I am an eight year old white moggy from Macclesfield, Cheshire. I have been watching you on the webcam with my Mummy and i think you are really brave. I like to sleep for most of the day and have my supper at 7pm when my Mummy gets in from work. My favourite nosh is 'Tuna Pate', i understand that you aren't too keen on fish, each to their own i suppose. In the lounge at my house there is a tank with two goldfish in. They swim about teasing me so sometimes i eat their fishfood and i think that is really scrummy!! My ambition is to have those fish for my supper one day!! I hope that you make a speedy recovery and i will wite again soon, Purrs and licks, Dipity x
Hi Frank-- My name is Spy-- I am a big male gray cat-- almost 15 years old and I live on Staten Island with my 2 younger brothers-- Miles Dewey Davis Jr. (a cool black cat if there ever was one) and Partagas (quite humiliating I think to name a cat after a cigar but it's the only way my mistress could talk the master of the house into getting a third cat-- he's quite a cigar afficionado the master).
Anyway, I heard you are recovering and confined to your cage-- so I will send you lots of healing. I am the brains of the outfit so I can use the computer-- I can also write with my paws and I have pretty good penmanship.
In my younger days I used to ride a bike and go to Snug Harbor-- a beautiful park near our house and I would lay in the sun and chase bugs and roll around in the soft green grass. I don't go out so much now--
I was in the hospital myself a few weeks ago-- I had a virus and I was dehydrated. The whole deal cost $1000 but my mistress said I was worth it and I have almost never been ill so over the years I have been a low maintenance cat-- I am a virgo-- so I am very clean and neat and I like things orderly. My mother was a calico who came from a large family-- I am an ACOA-- adult cat of an alcoholic-- my mother's name in fact was Tipsy-- Tipsy is dead for many years now-- secondary to alcoholism Well-- I wonder if you have access to any kind of computer equipment and can write back?-- I'd like to know more about you and what happened to you-- I have to go now-- feel better Frank-- Spy
Woah!! EXTREME CLOSE-UP!!!! Great final shot last night, Frank. I wonder, what evil plan do you have in mind for the web-cam? Your Humans had better watch out.
Love from Crystal xxx
