Messages to Frank - 17th Mar page 1
I feel sorry that you got knocked over. I hope that you get better soon. If my cat Flaggy got knocked over by a car all of my family would be very very sad especially my Mummy because she has had him ever since he was a little kitten.
Love from Lizzie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
My name is Tumble and I'm a 15 year old British Blue, I have cracked my pelvis after an accident whilst patrolling my garden. I gave my owner a real scare and was very poorly. I am also confined to a cage and am on week 2 of my recovery, seeing the vet tomorrow for check-up..boring isn't it ? So my owner, Patsy, and I will be watching your progress from my cage in the sitting-room at home in Torquay, Devon. Have a head rub from me and my owner Patsy, hope we can have a synchronised release soon, get well soon. Tumble and Pat

Hi Frank! We're 4 gorgeous Burmese beauties and our Mum read about you in today's Mail on Sunday and we just wanted to wish you well - you poor thing. We're quite lucky really because our humans don't let us out which can be quite frustrating when we see all those birds and things out of the window. Anyway I'm Annie the oldest (8 on April 1) a brown spey who is rather overweight since Sally got pregnant last year and Mum fed her all sorts of special food which of course I had to have too! Sally gave birth to 7 little Burmese kittens in November and I still haven't forgiven Mum and Dad for keeping not one but two - Sally's brown like me but Rosy is a funny blue colour and Lara takes after her feline dad apparently - chocolate they call it.
We do all get on though and if those two young cats are naughty I put them in their place because Sally spoils them and lets them get away with murder! (Our humans are no better - they just let them charge all over the place). I know we're posh but would love to get out and play with some of the gorgeous moggies we see around our home. Mum's always had cats and she's told us all about the moggies she's had and loved (it was an accident she got into Burmese apparently but that's a long story).
Well, enough for now - must get on with some serious sleeping after lunch (Mum's cooking us a chicken and I think it's nearly ready).
You take care Frank and soon you'll be up and running again.
Love from us all.
P.S. As we don't risk being run over we're considering donating one of our nine lives each - we think we might get away with one less? Would that help?
Frank says: Cooking you chicken...lucky so and so..
Good Morning, Frank.
I see you are up as early as I am this morning. You must be getting bored by now but remember that each day is a day closer to getting out. Headbutts and purrs, Karen

Darling Frank,
Hope you are feeling a bit better today!!! Joshua & Trixie send you their best regards and suggest you keep as active as possible and make your pets play with you for at least 30 mins day. They also suggest you might feel a bit fresher if your pets were to wipe you over with a baby wipe each day... just to get rid of that weird odour....
Will look in on you again later...
Love
Jules

Dear Frank,
I am so pleased you are revocering well, I a mere human female have haD a broken pelvis in the past due to a trsaffic accident so know how you feel, although I went to the human equivalent of a vet called a hospital. Our three cats send all their love and purrs to Frank, they are called Fudgey, Poppy and Mickey. Fudgey is a 10 year old ginger who meditates 23 out of 24 hours a daY, pOPPY IS TOITESHELL AND WHITE WHO Treats the boys with disdain, but who isn't into hygiene and likes to walk all over the kitchen units, Mi ckey is the youngest at a year old and his favourite passtime is ch\sing his ping pong balls. All our love to Frank from the Street family.
Frank says: Thanks the Street family
I hope your Daddy realises that you going to have to be a house cat now, because you will think that being hit by a car is easy, and you can get over it!!! Hi Frank our names are Pepe & Splodge and we are a bit older than you (16 years) . We wish you a speedy recovery and if you don't use up your 8 lives left, too quickly, you'll soon catch up with us.It sounds as if your human owners are as kind as ours so we know you are getting the best attention you can have. Good Luck, Pepe,Splodge & our human family.

I'm glad you didn't get killed. I'm happy that you're taken care of well at hospital.

Frank says: Farm cat eh? Great..
We've put a link to Frank's page on our local RSPCA website www.rspca-man-sal.org.uk I wish Frank a speedy recovery, as do my two monster cats Mac and Katie. I haven't let Mac write to Frank as I suspect he just wants to pass on his hints on how to escape the cage. Katie sends furry headrubs to Frank. If Frank wants to see Mac and Katie he can have a look at the picture page on our website (but look out for the dogs)

Hello Frank, i saw a picture of you and heard that you have not been too well lately. I hope you are feeling a bit better. Despite your injuries and the distress these have caused you i think you are very handsome.
i myself have been feeling a bit low lately as my boyfriend, who has been visiting me every day for the past two years since my owners moved house, attacted me two weeks ago. He bit a chunk out of my neck and although the wound is healing nicely i still have a large bald patch which makes me very self-concious. I have been hiding in the waldrobe ever since but hearing about your accident has made me realise how lucky i am. Phoenix (the Cat)
Frank says: pay no heed to him
Dear Frank - We have just read about your accident in the Mail on Sunday and had to pay a visit to your site to see how you are. My family of six cats are all shocked about your accident but so glad you survived and how lovely to know there are still some caring people around who found you and took you back home to your owner. We are really pleased you are on the way to recovery. We will keep popping in to visit you. Love from the Jackie gang
Frank says: thanks

WEY! HEY! Brighton Boy here! Hove is a bit sunnier than yesterday (When it was raining cats and dogs! Yes, I know, it is a pretty poor pun!). Sorry I did not email you yesterday. I was busy sulking! I did not re-appear for part of the day just to teach the human a lesson (She quite often clears off to London and expects a warm welcome on her return!). By the way, did you know she had french origins? I am brushing off my french as sometimes she is trying to speak to me in her different linguo! Anyway, I have access to the PC now. The feline Hove posse has been regrouping and getting ready for the next Frank Great Escape!
Take it easy, Frank boy! Go get them (Don't forget you are a sttar, behave like one!)

I thought I'd take a few minutes away from supervising the family kittens - Duchess of Argyll and Wiggy Pop to send you my best wishes for your recovery. I hope that your Vet is as good as my last one was - his name was Robin and he looked after all of us along with his wife Lucy (she's a Vet too and really pretty too!) but unfortunately they have moved back to Australia and I do miss them. My new Vet is called Hetty and she's very nice - she's been very good to the Duchess when she stole Bob's tranquilizers and ate a ball of string (the Duchess did - not Hetty!) I know it's boring being kept in a cage - I had to be in one when someone shot me with a gun some years back - but I got over it - thanks to my humans Andy and Lou and again our Vet.
The others send their best too.. MeToo the Poodle (she can be a bit of a pain but she does love cats - although she couldn't eat a whole one!) The Duchess of Argyll and Wiggy Pop (the furry purrys - both ginger and as mad as a box of monkeys - Wiggy has brain damage but is sooo cute!) Samson the meditereanian Tortoise who has just woken up from his long sleep ( even I can't sleep that long!) and Diesel the Sulcata tortoise who is kipping under the TV at the moment ( BOY IS SHE BIG!) oh and I must not forget BOb (we call him Mavis cos he's a bit of a wuss) who can't be here right now as he's being held hostage by next doors cats down the garden.
I'd better go and rescue Bob - there's no peace when you're the senior cat.....
You take care now... we're all thinking of you ( not sure about Bob - his mind is probably preoccupied with trying to work out an escape plan.....
Love, purrs and dribbles

Hi Frank,
Me and my brother Svante was surfin' around for cool cats on the web and drop in on your page. Hope you get better soon because it is really boring being sick. Last year I had a surgery and was knocked out for a week or so. Those humans I live with gave me some bad food, but what can we suppressed cats do. However the humans are quite okey anyway, I get a lot of back scratching and the food is alright now. They have also given me an electric heated bed! Sweat, that is really something! Ohh, got to go now out chasing some rats again. The lazy humans only work 5 days a week, but we poor cats has to work 7 days a week!
Hope you get better soon and my brother Svante says hello as well.

Hello Frank, best wishes from dash and ginger - you should keep away from those roads , we both are scared of the traffic. lots of love ginger and dash
I've just seen you having a jolly good stretch, Frank, tail arched, legs extended. "Not much wrong with that pelvis" is what crossed my mind. Congratulations, sweetheart, you're definitely on the mend, love, Moira
Frank says: You should see me run :-(
I think Frank should listen to Radio 1 (98.5fm)
or Capital (95.8fm)
Mostly music is played so Frank can relax and chill, and he wont have to think about his pelvis.
Hi Frank, I really wish you all the luck and love in the world. I have just lost my cat and look with interest on your recovery. Be strong and with the love that you obviously receive from your owner I know that you will have a long and happy life ahead. Take care when crossing roads in future!
Well done to Frank's owner. I wonder how many other people would love their pets as much to care for them as you obviously do for Frank. May you both enjoy each other for a long long time.
Frank,
You are facing the camera! I usually see the other side of you! Have a good day, our thoughts are with you! Billie (Texas)
Hi I've just seen the article in todays edition of the mail on sunday and I thought I should log on as it is the first time I've seen your web page. I think your owners should keep the website and use it about other animals that are recovering from any ailments when you are a 100%. Take Care and I will be watching to see how your progress goes on.from Ollie
Tune Frank into Radio 4 he can listen to The Archers and ponder upon whether the doctor and the vicar will get it together now the doctor's wife has left.
Hope Frank makes a full recovery.

It's me, GRISGRIS again. Glad to hear your human is thinking of keeping you indoors. I'm coming along well after my liver operation. My human is feeding me cheese w/pills inside and thinks I don't know the difference! ( She's a lover but not so bright!) I know the pills are there but I want to get well!! I hate having my fur so weird half long and half short! But Frank old buddy, you've got good humans like mine so try to do what they say even if it is a pain in the tail!!
A big face wash from GRISGRIS and his bubbas pascal and noel.
Frank says: hmmm, cheese
I hope you feel better soon and stay away from cars in future!!!
Hello Frank,
I'm a Persian cat of l6 (going on l7 in June) and know only too well what its like not be be able to do the things I used to do. Life does have its compensations though - as a real old puss I get to eat whatever I want, and no doubt youre treated the same now that your sick. At least when youre better you will be able to go out chasing the birds again. At my ripe old age all I get to do is dream about such things! Must say that youre looking in good form today and showing an interest in life again. Just remember cars and cats just dont go together. I dont have a problem with cars cos I cant be bothered to go out most days.
Best wishes,
from
Tiggi.
I hope that you are feline fine Frank and that you get better really soon. You are really gourgeous and I think you would get on really well with my cat Mr Fergie and my strange cat Cornflake.I love them both very much and we like to watch DVD movies together especialy scary ones because Cornflake runs off and hides under the bed then comes out for a cuddle.Cornflake follows me everywhere around my flat and is very fluffy.Fergie is a bit of a snob and wakes me up at night if he is hungry to feed him. Both them and I wish you well and hope you are up to full mousing strength ASAP.Love from Keith and his two cats Cornflake and Fergie.xxx
Hi there frank
I just wanted to pass on a message to you from my cats Smudge and Alice. Smudge was also run over by a car (hit and run) when she was just 1 year old. The vets did not give her much of a chance, but now 12 years on she is still doing well, I know that 6 weeks confine is not good, but think of all the lovely things you can do when you get out!! love, jean, Alice and Smudge xxx
Hope you're better soon. There's more to life (sometimes) than eating and sleeping. Surely you get time for the odd fight, or annoying the neighbours by downloading on their garden? I'll keep an eye on how you get on. Suck up to as much fussing as you can get ...
Love from me (Rosie), the Somerset Six - Harry, Lucey, Joey, Sophie, Bobby and Ollie - (They moved next door from Somerset three years ago), Tabatha (next door to them) who's sick so often he could puke for England, and my newest neighbours at the end of the garden: The Taliban, known to their last neighbours as The Kray Twins (but really called Tigger and Roo. See what I have to put up with?
Hello Frank
I only found out about you today, so sorry to hear of your nasty accident - just get really well soon.
love
Anne, Bella and Susie (black & white moggie sisters who also send their best wishes for your speedy recovery)
Dear frank,
I just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery from what appeared to be a very nasty fracture. As a veterinary nurse based in the car-infested Southeast, I have, unfortunatly, had first-paw experience of nursing patients with simillar fratures and am constantly impressed in the 'stiff-upper-whisker' manner in which you all get on with getting beter. It is also heartening to see that your dad has fully embraced the 'cat-in-a-cage-for-6 weeks' challange so sensiblely! On a different note, I see you have decided not to fully capitalise on the product placement oppotunites that your publicity could afford you!? The odd tin of whiskers here or worming sticker there (...just in webshot of course), during your recovery could see you in goodies for the rest of your days!!.......have a word with dad.......but it goes without saying, you didn't get that from me!!
Get well soon Frank!

Get well soon Frank. My cat Chester was run over and badly injured on December 12 2000. His pelvis was broken in 5 places and he wasn't expected to survive. Fifteen months on, apart from a bit of a limp you wouldn't know anything had happened to him.
Make a speedy recovery.
Love Enid & Chester.

Cheers, Rosie
hope you get better soon Frank.
Read about this on an internet site, and now again today in the Mail on Sunday (Florida edition). Wish you all the best Frank - you remind me so much of a cat I used to have year's ago in Torquay - called Milligan.
Listen over the internet to BFBS 1 (Force's radio) www.bfbs.com then follow the Radio and Listen Live links. I'm sure they'll be pleased to hear from you if you get your paws to the keyboard. Try Cox and Bumfrey's Saturday morning show. Or Lisa Davis every evening late.

Frank says: Haha I am an accomplished axe cat :-)
Alright mate! Radio 3 - you'd best get them to sort that out, you don't strike me as a Radio 3 kinda guy really.... Hope you've got plenty to keep you amused in the cage - my humans got me a little scratching board which they attached to the side of the cage - it was a relief to sharpen what was left of my claws anyway.. I think I left most of them on the road, as you do....
Well, I hope you're having a good day. I'm off to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and hopefully to nick my human's beer!
See you soon,
Jake the cat!

Frank says: go on Jake
Dear Fabulous Frankie,
How wonderful that you are healing, and that your trauma has apparently not altered your basic fine nature. However, as you get better and better, don't lose sight of one of the primary duties of true Catdom: your must continue to work to bring out the best nature in your human subjects and acquaintences, and to reward them occasionally with a "freebie" purr or nudge, however unearned. You will feel quite noble, and, just incidentally, some wonderful treat or concession may be forthcoming as a result.
All of Us Up Here send ernest best wishes, and hope not to see you for many years-times-nine.
Regards, Angel Andy
Hi Frank
My two big moggies send you their love.
Get well soon.

Dear Frank,
We have a black cat named 'Bracken' who adopted us about 18 months ago and has now taken over our house and lives! He would like to send you his best wishes for a speedy recovery, which we hope you will make quite quickly.
He is asleep right now but I think he may be dreaming about you.

Sorry to see that you haven't had any messages so far today. I hope that this will help to make you feel better.
I usually like to sit in the road, but after seeing you I think I might stop!!
Glad to see that you are making a good recovery.
Right, done my good deed for the day, I'm off back to sleep
Puuuuurrrrrr
Frank says: I had loads but D was having a bit of a day off...
Just a quick note Frank, to say how pleased we all are at the progress you've made following your accident. I hope you don't mind us looking in on you every now and then to see how you're doing. Something that may interest you; we seem to have mice in our loft. I managed to catch one of the little rotters the other day, and he wasn't best pleased. Well actually he was killed almost instantly, which serves him right for gnawing at our electrical cables! Well just thought that might cheer you up Frank. Anyway take it easy old bean, and before you know it you'll be catching your own mice!

Frank says: Thanks Mike and Tigger

I am a recovering autistic cat, and am only now learning to speak and make eye contact, but I still have stereotyped behavious, and cannot stop asking for food early. I am very sorry for all the pain you have been through, and know you will get well soon, because you have lots of worldwide cat power beamed at you, which is the best medicine for cats and humans.
Love from Jess
Frank says: Thanks Jess
My dear Frank
My adopted Great Aunty Annie wrote to you earlier but I just wanted to say how really wonderful I think you are (she's a bit of an old bag). I'm Rosy and I really am very very pretty you know (think they should have called me Katemoss or something like that). I'm a blue Burmese - same colour as you or bits of you anyway - and I'm going to be famous too you know!! My Mum tells me to stop being so vain and silly but I do think I am so very sweet and think purrhaps we could be friends? I do love mogs you know (my mum calls them "a bit of rough" and tells me she would have had her way with "Panther" the local black Tom if our humans let us out - I don't really understand but I am only 4 months old).
I know I'm still a bit young but will be a debutante soon and would like to invite you to my coming out - you should be just about fit by then in August? A girl can only try!
P.S. Hope you're feeling okay and sorry about my precocious young Burmese kitten! We all wish you well Frank. xxx

Hiya, Frank
Does D know that the newest links on the "Read Frank's Messages" page aren't working right? If you click on the 16th you get the 17th and if you click on the 17th you get nothing.
You seem more active lately, which makes me think you are feeling better and better. Hang in there buddy! It won't be as long as it has been.
Frank says: I know he is a bit slack sometimes..
Dear Frank
Our family read your story in the Mail on
Sunday and thought what a brave cat you are.
Our daughter has a moggy called Harry who
looks a little bit like you.
You need to relax as much as posible and we
suggest listening to Classic FM to get you
in the mood.
best wishes
the Funnell family
Hello Frank, how are you doing? I'm smudge, a black & white moggy. I got run over when I was one year old. I'm now the grand age of 13 years nearly. I know exactly what you are going through, I hated it in the vets & it was over christmas, so I missed the turkey for a day or too! hope you get home soon. Best wishes. Smudge x
We wish you a speedy recovery. If we could send by email the mouse we caught today we would.
Frank says: emouse
Hi Frank, this is a get well message from Ziggy, Loki and Freyja in Hampshire. Our mummy has been telling us about you, and we got to look at you on your cat cam. How does it feel to be famous eh.. but no one wants to be run over to get famours eh!
Let's hope you get better soon and out of the cage, must be very tough on you. We sleep most of the day and night too, but we like to sleep where we want to, not in one place.
In a bad bad world great to know so many people care about an injured cat - except for the hit and run driver (was he a mouse in an earlier life?).Here's hoping for a complete recovery.
For the owners of Frank
Keep him cosy - hope he recovers quickly.

Dear Frank
I've just catnapped my owners e-mail to send you a cat-tastic get well message. Nice to see youre getting a valuable catnap in at the moment - it's my speciality too, on the bed, under the nice warm radiator, anywhere will do. Nice of those humans to get you to the vet in time, not keen on the vets myself, there's too many of those stupid things they call dogs. Mind you one good hiss-spit and they're shaking in their paws. Take care of yourself Frank, with some good food and a lot of love from your humans, youll soon be back on your paws. If you need a few tips on living the easy life then Im your cat. Licks and purrs from Misty.
Frank says: Thanks Misty
Dear Frank
Sorry to hear you have not been well. We think you are lucky to be looked after so well and hope you will make a speedy recovery. Thought you would like to know we share your hobbies of eating and sleeping. Coincidence, isn't it.

Cat lovers everywhere are sending you best wishes on a speedy recovery. Big electronic hug from me, you lovely cuddly boy.
Hello dear sweet Frank,
I hope that are recovering well. I bet you feel alittle rough, but you'll mend, and will soon be chasing those birds again! Take it easy when you get out of that cage, no jumping around too much, just play it cool and you'll be fine. You are one lucky cat..... mine didn't make it 2 years ago when she was hit by something.....they didn't bother to help her either. I was lucky to find her though, and had the last moments with her. So, get better soon, little one..... Lots of love and cuddles, Ange
Frank says: oh no..poor cat
just found your site today through the mail on sunday (uk). very impresssed hope you are feeling great i`ve went through the same experience two years ago. i was on my own for a week before my humans found me (stuck in a ditch at the side of the road) but they were looking , i could hear them but they couldn`t hear me. anyway they found me and took me to the vet`s and it was touch and go for a while but i came through reasonably ok and they still look after me so well. get well soon

Frank says: glad you are still with us
Hi Frank - Its Purrdy again. I've just had a look at your wallpaper - very posh!
Now what about a merchandising deal? I've got a few old brushes and bits that I could let you have cheap, and you get your owner to stick your picture on them and we could make a bob or two selling them to all these foreign people who send you nice messages. I expect you will also have some well chewed toys, old bowls, tatty blankets and things. I'm sure that, between us, we could make enough for a good night out when you feel well again - look on it as a recouperation fund...... What do you think? Drop me an e-mail if you are in for it, I'll start getting a box of trophies together. Get well soon, Purrdy

Hi Frank,
Janet again. I managed to get my computer away from my slave, so I am able to send another message to you. Can't believe at the present time there are 447 people watching you. It is 6.00am here in New Zealand, so thought I would check early on you. For the first time I saw your beautiful face, because all the other times I have watched you, you have been asleep. Now you are sitting up, either you are performing for the camera, or food is not far away? Take care.

Dear Frank,
We are two cats who live together in harmony but are very terrotorial about our land and do not advise other cats to come onto our patch. HOWEVER - if we saw any cat lying in the road we would help them immediately as we care about the general safety of our wonderful race. Please get well soon Frank - and when you do, we would welcome you to our garden to share our pot of mice. Look forward to seeing you soon. Casper and Kate The Reigate Cats, Surrey, UK xx

Hello Frank, old chum,
my Mummy is training to be a nutritionist and she says to be really careful that you don't overindulge in sugary, cereal, carbohydrate junk foods that those ignorant humans keep giving us in their 'popular' advertised tins of 'catfood'. Very bad for me, blood sugar, stress and all that stuff, especially as you've lost one of your lives already. She says that I got lots better when I was poorly by giving me poached chicken, raw minced lamb or steamed fish with a little brown rice, she adds in tiny amounts of a really good brand of 'food standard' Multi vits and mins for humans that she grinds up, and she makes sure she adds in a few drops of Vit E to make my cardiovascular system better and for me to live longer, then she puts in a little evening primrose oil and some fish oils so I have lovely skin and heal nicely. She says all the extra vitamins and minerals are brilliant for bones to mend, and says I should stay on the special diet as it's so much better for me and my chums. We all hope you'll be mended better than new. Lots of Love Sammy, Lucky, Bebe, Suki, Flossie, Penny and Mummy Lynn x
Frank is such a cute cat!
Get well soon from Anastasia (Tabby and White)
Dear Frank- So sorry to hear of your demise.
I hope you feel better soon. I was lost for six weeks last summer, when my silly owners took me in their touring caravan to Uttoxeter(UK) Race Course. I was pretty miserable I can tell you, grubbing for food in the undergrowth at the bottom of human's gardens. Didn't see any fairies though. Well maybe one or two. I survived by eating scraps that a kind lady human put out for the hedgehogs at dusk. She saw the advertisement my mum put in the local paper for a LOST CAT (Pathetic! It was their fault) Well to cut a long story short. I returned to the hedgehogs garden and there was my Mum with a bag of what I would call ' Ambrosia- food for the gods- CHICKEN.
What a feast! I endured all the kissing and fussing, but I must admit it was lovely to be back with my humans, I was treated like TOP CAT for weeks. Next time they want to take me touring I'll have to put leads on them. Bye and lot of purrs from Tig

Get well soon Frank. I only heard about you today in The Mail on Sunday, I must have been asleep more than I thought.
Good to hear that David & Hayley are looking after you. I've only had an argument with some barbed wire inside my thigh but still awkward enough for pain & about 11 stitches. All OK now though, Norman & Sue saw that I was in good hands at Route Isabelle vets in Guernsey. It's the only problem in 14 years so not too bad.
All the best Rest & Recuperation with Love and Attention is the best way.

Hi Frank, how ya doin puss!? Sleeping at the mo it
seems, but then u did say that sleeping and eating
were your favourite past times! Just as well right
now, being confined to that cage! Now u know how a
canary feels! Still,i expect it is dreams about birdies
& mickies that r keeping u sane at the mo eh!
U were indeed a lucky puss that those nice people
stopped & took u 2 the vet 4 immediate treatment
on your pelvis,or else your lovely humans would
have no adorable Frank around them every day!
U must stay away from that road though.Cars go so fast,& can't always stop/avoid cats,& some nasty humans don't care/won't stop 2 help u.So u want 2 keep your remaining 8 lives intact Frank.B careful!!!

Get well soon and do not play in the road anymore. you have only seven lives left.

So with an injection a day I'm purring away all day.

Hi frank how you holding together I hope everything is going okay, for that radio station try Wyvern FM particularly Tony and Katie (the morning crew) who introduced us to your website and give us daily updates on your recovery.
Happy sleeping form Jo & Arty.
Hi Frank,
Thought I'd send you a get well soon message from one famous mog to another. Well I'm not quite as famous as you, but I have also appeared in the Your Cat Magazine.
I've also had an encounter with a car, it really hurts doesn't it? However, I think I got off a lot easier than you.
My claim to fame is that 6 years ago I developed lots of strange symptoms and got my parents all worried. After lots of visits to the vet and tests etc. it was discovered that I had Auto-immune disease which affects my bone marrow, sometimes it just stops working and I get very ill. My mummy says that it is like Leukeamia. But I don't know this Luke chap.
Anyway, I went into shock one night and was rushed to the vet, with blue feet and tongue early the following morning. I'd thoughtfully hidden under the middle of the bed and they hadn't noticed how ill I was. After a couple of days at the vet they bought me home to die. Well I thought I'm not having that, and with lots of hugs and kisses and hand feeding, and cotton wool washes etc. I decided to get better. My mum was so pleased she wrote to the Your Cat magazine and included a picture of yours truly and that's my claim to fame.
I hope that you get better soon. I'm just entering another bout of remission, I like to have at least 2 crises a year, so that they remember how much they love me, and just how expensive us moggies can be. Plus all the hand feeding etc. is a real boon at this horrible time of year.
Take care and best wishes
Tabby Chapinal (11yo in May and very handsome, tabby and white fat cat)
Hey Frank!
Love your 'Test card' wallpaper. You sure are one fine looking feline!
I was just wondering, now you are truly an international star, have you considered using your new found celebrity(when you're all better, of course) for commercial purposes? Your feeder/litter changer has made you a celebrity but, apparently, has no pet insurance. Your vet bills must be astronomical (mine were when I had my eye remove and you've had much more done). You could endorse cat food or a similar product. You could be the next 'Arthur'! What do you reckon?
Take it easy, Super Star
Your blind pal, Baldrick.
Frank says: Alright Balders, we are waiting to hear back from some nice people who make catfood
get well soon frank love sopie the chinchilla [cat] from cleethorpes
Dear Frank,
I hope you are feeling better. I too went out one night and was hit by a car. I dragged myself home along a dark lane to the house where I live. My kind owner took me staright to the vets who said I had a smashed pelvis. They were very concerened because I couldn't feel my tail or one of my back legs and they thought they would have to be chopped off but they are OK now. My owners were very worried but I kept purring to put their minds at rest. The vet said that I had to stay in a box for 6 weeks but after 10 days I jumped out and slept on the settee instead.
All this happened in November and by Christmas I was nearly back to normal. The only problem I now have is that my black fur is changing colour to white. Could you ask your kind vet if this is normal please, I'm a little concerned as I like being black.
Keep purring

Hi Frank, As we can't have a cat. Your the next best thing.......... I think you ought to listen to Talk Sport on MW 1107. Especially on a Saturday or Sunday Morning as it is a fishing programme which will help your day go by with lots of dreams... Love watching you. Get well soon. Angela xxxx
Hi Frank, Read about you in The Mail on Sunday. I am so pleased you are getting better. You look like my cat Simba. Hope you had pet insurance as it must of been very expensive. We will visit your website very soon. Lots of Love Rachel Age 9 and simba and Archie the cats. xxx

Hello Frank,
I am a tortie moggie, coming up to my fifth birthday. I am very sorry to hear that you are unwell at the moment, and I trust you have a speedy recovery. It brings back memories of the time when, at 12 weeks old, I decided to tackly my brother by an open window on the first floor of my owners house. We both fell out, HE managed to escape unscathed, but me, I was less fortunate and fractured my leg in 2 places. Luckily for me, I only spend a weekend in the hospital, but over 4 weeks confined to the downstairs toilet (nice). Everyone treated me well, although they weren't too impressed with the friends I brought back with me. Fleas! Wishing you well. Pebs, PS me and Bramble have got over our differences and avoid open windows!
we live on Anglesey and we are all thinking about you Frank at our house. We have two cats of our own and know what it's like to have our pet ill as Ziggy one of our cats has a metal plate in his leg from when he was run over twelve months ago.

Dear Frank,
I do not usually write to strange cats, but I was very moved by the story my human read in today's Mail. (I don't read that paper myself, but it does make a good place to sit.) I admire your courage and your determination to make a full recovery. However, your hobbies are reminiscent of my half-brother, Pippin, who also prefers eating and sleeping to doing important things like frog-hunting and shedding, and of course being adorable. (I am very good at that!) Pippin is frankly too lazy to write to you himself, so I will send his good wishes. along with my own and those of my humans. P.S. I am a Sorrel-Silver Somali.
What a lovely puddy cat you are, I feel really sorry for you it must have hurt a lot. I hope you are not in pain and wish you a full recovery, but do not chase to many mice as they are entitled to a good life aswell. xxx
Hi Frank
Watching you sleep right now. Just wanted to wish you well and hope your recovery is a speedy one!
Take it very easy. And we hope your pet/owner keeps us updated when you are back on your paws.
Best wishes from us all
(and a big kiss goodnight)
Hello Frank and owners
Hope you'll soon be well and at home with the people who love you the most. Know the feeling when your cat's been knocked down, (we lost Woody 18 mths ago - still miss him), still its wonderful what the vets can do today. Take care - will continue to watch your progress.

Hello Frank,
I hope you are allowed out of your cage soon. I broke my back leg when i was 6 months old and had to stay inside and wear a plaster cast for 6 weeks. I am all better now (although perhaps slightly nervous!) and I am sure that you will be all better soon too.
Love from
Nutty
P.S My owners wished that they could have had a web cam in their lounge to keep an eye on me when I was broken.
Hope you get better soon. Me and My Mummy and Daddy will keep watching you. |Lots of Love and hugs from Abigayle.
Hi Frank, I'm 13 and have spent my whole life with your species, I think they can't be beat. I suggest that you listen to Kiss 100 FM, seeing as they twist the second "S" around so it looks like a cats mouth and nose.
Hope you feel better
Kirsty -x-
Hope you get well VERY soon
Hi Frank, Casper my White and Black cat sends you get well messages, he too was the victim of a hit and run and also broke his pelvis. He was taken to the vets and kept in for weeks until he was then given over to the RSPCA to be rehomed, as his owners never came looking for him. We have had Casper for about a year, and he got on famously with my other cat Minstrel, who sadly was also a victim of a hit and run, but he was no as lucky, and was killed in November last year.
Casper is fully recovered and climbs trees as good as any cat, but is just a bit more wary of cars, you would never believe he had ever had an accident, so hopefully you will be the same Frank.
So heres to a speedy recovery.
Barbara and Casper
Hey Frankie! My sisfur Tasha says I am too lazy to write but that's just a crock of you-know! Get weel soon, okay, and if you ever want to patch of sun to snooze in, you can share mine! purz,
Pippin the Magnificent
We wish you goodnight and sweet dreams, Frank and lots of love. Rozy the horse has collected lots of "hoofprints" of goodwill messages from her friends and was quite upset when she found they could not be sent via this media !! Purr, purr from the two cats, though.

How does it feel to be just about the most famous cat in the world now? I hope your special humans come up with a T shirt or book or coffee mug with your picture on it. I'd love to have one.

Frank - I hope you're feeling better! You're a lucky boy to be alive - why don't you listen to Radio 2 - Terry will make you smile and it's a good mix of chat and music.

My cat Thomas had a very similar accident to you. His pelvis was also broken in a hit and run accident and had to be pinned back together again. Thomas is now a very happy and healthy cat. He walks with a little wiggle now but can easily scale the 6ft fence at the bottom of the garden. I hope that you will also be up and on your feet again soon. love Karen & Thomas

Frank - sorry to hear about your accident. I was knocked over by a bus just outside my house and broke my pelvis in four places ( couldn't look at your x-rays, too manny painful, boring memories) That was two years ago now and you wouldn't know it had ever happened - all the local mice and stuff hoped that it would slow me down but my kill rate pretty soon got back to its old levels. Spend your time planning new ways of tricking blue tits into walking into your mouth - it was a time of new ideas for me. stay lucky (ha,ha)

dear frank,
you look uncomfortable in your cage, i do hope you are okay and soon will be back at home.

Hi Frank! We know how you feel.At some point in our lives we've all been ill, but the person who shares our house....Judy,loves us like I'm sure your human does, so we know you're getting the best of treatment. We were all abused cats from a cat sanctuary, but now live a life full of love. Can we exchange paw prints sometime?
Dear Frank

Hello Frank. We are 6 cats from Sheffield. Sorry to hear of your accident but very pleased you are now on the road to recovery. Love from us all.
I hope you are feeling tons better now Frank....you must be chuffed that so many people are thinking of you. I have two cats and live not too far away from you (Foxton). They have both been in accidents - one seriously - and the Whittlesford vets helped him too, he was pinned in many places and had an external fixater. He now runs around like a kitten.....so I know you will be soon as well. Take care sweetie XX
Frank says: Thanks, they are nice at Whittlesford
Good night and God bless Frank - we all hope you will be feeling even more recovered in the coming week. We wish you sweet dreams. Luv Charlie, Tabs and Spider (he's the youngest and has long spindly legs) and Pauline (dinner lady/carer)

Hi Frank
Get well soon.
Frank - Listen to CAT FM (Cheltenham And Tewkesbury)
Frank - Sorry to hear about your accident. Please ask your mum and dad to keep you inside from now on. We have always been indoor cats with supervised outdoor visits and are quite content. Our human brings us many fun toys to "hunt" and play with. Also you might want to ask your humans to get some "Rescue Remedy", a Bach Flower Essence, to put in your water. It will help calm you down and keep you from wanting to LEAP out of your cage. It will not interfere with any medication you are taking. (Actually your humans might want to use some too to help them remain calm!). We hope your recuperation is fast and you're back to your normal self real soon.
Love, Tigger, AJ, Oreo and Denise
Hope you get well very soon and back to your old self.
Best wishes from Ali, Barbara and the cats, Pepe, Splodge and Tubby.
I hope you get well very soon and wish you a very speedy recovery. Unfortunately Lucy was also knocked down but she was unfortunately not able to live so we hope you will be back to normal very soon.
I live here with Harvey the cat and my favourite friend who lives here is Joshua who is 10 and goes to school.
Paw little cat...
This is what we said when we saw your x-rays
Our cat Arnie broke his pelvis 2years ago and had to go through the same treatment that you are having. He didn't like it one bit...
He told us he didn't like it every 5 minutes, night and day, we felt realy bad.
He is ok now, and is almost back to normal (he wasn't normal to start with)
We hope you feel better soon. Arnie sends his love.
Hi, Frank, how's you today.
I have had a quiet day today, the humans seemed a bit quiet too, the younger ones didn't get in until 4.00am - I can come in when I like, as I expect you can too. The man human had to go to work tonight (Sunday!!!) as he has to start early in the morning. Lady human has been at a loose end but she watched a bit of TV. I expect you have been so bored in your cage. I saw you woke up at 10.00pm tonight, was that because your supper had arrived. I don't get supper 'cause I like to look after my figure and don't want to get too fat.
I've been meaning to ask you, do you get your nails cut by the vet or your resident humans. My man human cuts mine because he thinks he can do a good job. He hasn't hurt me yet. Also I have medium length fur so have to be brushed every other day. I have a beautiful coat, and its a lovely colour too. My old friend Oz was grey all over. He was a good chap really but I was soooooo jealous of him. He was really clever and could go to the wee-wee on the human toilet and he could beg like a dog for tit-bits. Well, I'm clever too, but in different ways.
I told you an Abysinnian cat my lady human had a long time ago fractured her pelvis - she was for breeding but the vet said she could have no more babies. Still you don't have that worry do you? I had kittens once - do you know my humans took me miles and miles to stud, and I had three beautiful babes. The next time I decided it would be cheaper to find my own mate so I did - he was the local ginger tom!!! I had three gorgeous babes again - called half Somalis.
Well, this was supposed to be a short note but there goes, I'm a woman and I talk a lot or rather, write a lot.
I'll send another message tomorrow. Keep purring and remember all those out there asking after you - thousands and thousands.
Night, Night dear Frank.
PS. I haven't had an acknowlegement from you yet apart from my first note. Say hi to me won't you.
Frank says: No I don't cut my nails, why would anyone do that?
Frank
I'm a British Blue.
I know the sort of thing you are going through.
A coupe of years ago I caught leg in a snare and and as result had a lot of damage that needed skin grafts and general anaesthetics 3 times a week.
I'm now all better, but have one shaggy leg as the fur was taken from my side.
Good luck
Barney (and Paula)
Frank says: Snares are cruel

Hi Frank
This is Rosie and Smudge. We are sorryto hear that you are a bit under the weather at the moment and hope you will be feeling better very soon. We shall be keeping an eye on you. We are very lucky cats as we get taken away to the country every weekend and there are moles and voles and mice and other things and we stay out till at least 4am in the morning which gets our Mommy and Daddy very worried but we are having a great time!!!!! We watch them from behind trees banging tins calling smudy wudgy wudgy rosie rosie posie and both look at each other in amazement as we only eat packet food. Smudge my older sister has had a poorly eye but Daddy has taken her to the vets and it is now better as we hope you will be very soon. PLease contact us when you are feeling up to it on my Mommy's E Mail and when you are better you might be able to come and see us in the country for a dinner party of moles, voles and lashings of whiskas milk.
Love Rosie and Smudge
Frank says: Hmm vole dinner
My pets like to hear anything on Food TV. I think this is because people cooking and eating are always cheerful? I don't know, however, if this would be available over the radio?
hope you're better soon, and take more care with your next 8 lives!!

Well hi Frank, I'm a NYC cat, orange and white -- Yeah, I'm a tough guy who worked in a magazine store for 7 years, ever since I was a young man. I gave the best years of my life to that company -- it was rough working conditions let me tell you -- dirty and dangerous -- doing inventory all night and dogs coming in all times of the day. (I don't care how big they are I will scratch all of their noses!) I am 11 now.
I was sorry to hear about your accident. I've always been good walking on the avenues and the streets here and I never ran out into traffic -- I've got street smarts!
Lucky for me I was able to take early retirement and now I am in a luxurious temple with two human slaves who do the best they can to worship me round the clock.
Let me know if you want me to scatch anyone's noses for you -- I will be happy to oblige -- For example I bet it was a big stinky dog driving that car that hurt you -- so just tell me where he lives and he won't be bothering you no more!
Take it easy, fella! ............ Jack
Frank says: Thanks, please sort it
Hi Frank,
I only found out about you this week and I feel really sorry for you being confined to barracks for so long! I hope that you are being pampered something rotten whilst you're in your cage recovering. At least it gives me and all your other admirers a chance to keep an eye on you all day! Anyway, I'm a beautiful (even if I say so myself!) 4-year-old black and white moggie and I was wondering if you fancy a night out on the town when you're back to full strength. I'd make sure we went somewhere without any cars!
Lots of fluffy cuddles, Dipsy xx (and my rather dappy owner!)
