Good on you, Frank. Baron Boots Von Koelzow (the dog,) and I are very happy to see you looking so comfortable today. Kitty cams are cool. Of course, it helps that you are so photogenic. I stayed in London back in 12/1998 on the same block as the Blue Cross (the U.K. equivalent of the S.P.C.A. to us "yanks",) near Victoria Station. Is that where you are? At the time, talking chihuaha toys were the rage here in the states. I took mine with me. The laughs we caused were worth the occasional strange stares. Let me know if you would like to see some of the "Blue Cross chihuaha" pictures.

Peace be with you and your family,
Michael

I read about Frank in the Auckland Herald and decided to have a look for myself. I do hope he recovers well. What a great idea this is. I have put it in my favourites. Good luck, Frank, speedy recovery.

Hi, Frank:
My kitties tell me you weren't able to find the article I posted about you on my company's Web site. If you visit www.upi.com, go to the 'search by desk' feature on the upper right-hand side and click on the 'Life and Mind' desk, you'll find "Jockstrip' posted at 4:45 a.m. EST Wed. It was a pick-up from Joe Warminsky's 'Netwatch' column that ran Tuesday on UPI. Hang in there, big guy. Cheers, Penny the feature creature

Frank says: I found it, thanks
Hi Frank the Cat
Hope you get well soon and are back up on all fours soon. You are very famous now, however I think there are better ways to gain fame. I live in Auckland New Zealand and there was an article about you in our National Newspaper - you made page 12 of the main section...

Kind regards

Carolyn Finny

I hope you get well soon. I just lost one of my favorite cats on Feb 1st to saddle thrombosis. His name was Oscar. I do have three other cats to keep me company, and kitten will be ready to come to my home at Easter!
What a cool person you must have to put you on the internet like this! They must love you lots.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure you'll be up and about in no time! Take care,

Hello Frank,
We would like to let you know we are thinking of you and hope you feel better soon. Tittyman (the cat) says he can sympathize with you as he to was run over not to long ago and suffered a head injury. At least you get to sleep in peace for the next few weeks!!
We are watching your progress Frank.
A message for Franks owners: Thank you for taking care of one of our beautiful four legged friends! Many people would not have gone to the trouble you have!!

Frank-
So sorry to hear of your unfortunate accident. We and our 9 cats all send you our best wishes for your speedy recovery. (By the way, our calico cat "Buttons" thinks you are extremely handsome!). Get well soon.
The cats: Molly, Beau, Buttons, Baby, Fugly,
Scooter, Paddy, Punkin & Samantha Shaw.

Dear Frank, it is 2.35pm here in kiwiland, so I hope you are sound asleep in England.

Your photo and an article appeared in our morning newspaper today.

Dweena, my second youngest - she is one year old- was flicked by a car last week and ended up in hospital, but was more lucky than you.

Moral of the story is do not go on the road!

A pity I cannot see you properly as your photos aren't updating, however will look tomorrow.

Quit trashing your cage too.

Best regards.

Frank says: They update during the day in the uk
Hi Frank

Just thought I'd let you know that you were mentioned in the New Zealand Herald today (14 March 2002). I don't have a copy of the article, but it was in the first section of the paper. Best wishes for your recovery!

Dear Frank
Hi. Sorry to hear about your accident. A couple of years ago I endured 8 weeks in a cage due to a badly broken leg. At one stage there was talk of amputation but I'm as good as new now. Love the web cam idea wish I'd had one. You're very cute I'm a fluffy tabby female with attitude despite the dorky name I have been given. Hope you get well soon.
Lots of love from New Zealand, the Wickman family and me.

Hey Frank,
Dunno why you won't recover rapidly... I did!

Like a dummy, I decided to cross the Highway near my home (well, I guess the smell from the garbage dumpster lured me away from home...) anyway. I didn't see the VW bug that nailed me in the rear!

Boy did it smart! Tore my left hip off my spine and crushed my right pelvis. Fortunately I am a big dog, Labrador, and it was a small car, but still...

My folks got a call while I was sitting on the side of the highway wondering how I was going to make it back up the hill home. The nice guy from the gas station must have seen the whole thing.

They came and got me, oooh the pain, and took me to the vet 30 long minutes away. That vet said he couldn't do a thing for me... mom wanted to put me to sleep, but dad said he'd sell the car to fix me up!

My family was going on a church camping trip that weekend, so they loaded me up in the motorhome on their way out of town. Oh what a painful weekend, but Mom did everything she could to make me comfortable. She even carried my 100 pound body down the steps and outside to ... well, you know...

I never heard such a ruckus when I did my business. I thought I was in trouble, but it turns out they were excited there was no blood coming out. Guess that meant I wasn't hurt as bad as they expected.

When we got home Sunday night, Mom got on the phone and started calling veterinarians all over the state. She finally got in touch with one at the Vet. School in our state, and they wanted her to bring me in.

Well, they took me the next day, and then Left! Can you believe that? I was petrified! But they did come back... after the surgery, and then Mom's work really began. (They tell me they had to take the top of my femur off on my right leg... it's kind of sore, but I really don't miss it.) They put a pin in my left hip, and told me I bent it the very first day after surgery... I didn't do it on purpose, really!

Mom took me home and tried to keep me still while I was recovering. Boy, I gave her a run for the money! She put me in a human's playpen. I figured out how to jump out of that within the first 3 days. Oh sure, it smarted when I landed on the back legs, but listen, I am a male! Nothing can keep me down! How about you Frank?

I jumped off decks, you name it! I don't know if I have done any damage, but I do know I sure am glad to be off the side of that Highway... and garbage doesn't appeal to me as much anymore. OH, and jumping in the back of the truck... well, I guess I am just getting old!

Good luck in your recovery Frank. I know you'll get along just fine. Isn't it amazing what the vets can do?

Your Friend, Cutter (age 7)

Frank says: Blimey Cutter, you should get some sort of medal for that lot...

Get well soon!

Hi from New Zealand Frank. My cat's name is Figaro, he's a long hair grey tabby. He's been hit by a car too, and his fang came out and sometimes he does an impression of Elvis when half his top lip gets stuck on his bottom tooth. He looks very funny. He's fine now. You will be too. Get well soon.

Dear Frank,

I am a dog, but I am about as big as you, and I feel really sad that you are hurting. My name is Harry and I am a Maltese. My mom is a minister and I will ask her to put you on the prayer list.I live in a big church that has 3 apartments, and there is lots of places that you would find interesting around here. Maybe when you get better my mom will send you a picture of me and we can be friends, because I like the kittykats out side around here, but they don't like me to much, so maybe you can tell me how to win there friendship. Well I have to go now, because here in chicago it is getting late and my mom says I have to go to bed, but I bet she will give me a treat first if I am really cute.
Bye for now,
Harry the Dog

Hi Frank,Hope you are feeling better today. ANKFRAY!

You are sleeping tight at the moment because it's almost 9:00 pm here just north of Chicago. I am snoozing by the tube (Animal Planet) while my secretary Ms. Humphrey types you my note. She is so well trained. We heard about you on Earthlink yesterday. Glad you're slowly on the mend.

My great great great uncle cat Boots had to have his anterior cruciate ligament repaired after he tried to escape up a fence from the friendly chocolate lab across the street, Bear, who was just comin' to say "Hi!" Boy, was Bootie unhappy. First of all, he had to have his hip shaved and then had a great big long scar til his beautiful long hair grew back. And he hurt for a while, too. For a couple of days after his return from the hospital Ms. Humphrey stayed close and fed him out of jar lids because he felt too crummy to pick up his head much. But when he got well, he was back being the prince of a tuxedo cat that he was. The special vet we had to see for the operation drove a shiny red Maserati and Mr. Humphrey said that he was glad that the enormous amount of money we paid for beautiful Bootie's repair was going to a good cause.

I'm a long-haired tuxedo cat and a moggie, too. Moggies are the best. I'm almost seven (in June) and Ms. Humphrey is having a drinks and dinner party for me then (I'll be under the bed). She even bought a big flag with ME on it to fly that day. So I'm a happy girl. I know you're a happy boy when you're not "sick as a dog" (ha ha). You have SO many friends all over the world now, Frank. How wonderful!

Your American Friend,

Mamie the Muffin Humphrey

Hi Frank, Greetings from Clearwater, Florida. I have a wonderful cat named Tucker and he has had his rough times too. He was once hit bya car and had a pin put in
his right hip. That was about eight years ago. Now Tucker is eleven years old and
one fine cat. I will bookmark your site and check back on you now and then. I am
glad you are getting on well. My best to your recovery. Ferd

Hi Frank! We are 2 siamese cats from Pennsylvania and we are rooting for you! I'm so sorry that you were hit, those cars are such a nuisance! We pray for your speedy recovery so you can go back to mousing, chasing, and just generally dookin' around! Go Dooks!

Hi Frank,
Glad to see you're gettting better. My chocolate lab, Dave, also had a run-in with a car about eight years ago. He was at the animal hospital for a month, and my whole family was very worried, but he recovered wonderfully, with just a slight limp.I know you'll be as good as new after a little recuperation time as well! Wishing you continued good health, Becky

Frank has also made the New Zealand Herald today.

We stopped in to say hi, and we hope you are feeling better. Hugs and purrrs

Hi Frank - hope you're better soon.

I (Cooper) fell into the stormwater drain a week ago and caught the WORST flu you've ever thought of. And I (Stanley) am going to visit the vet tomorrow morning to get my you-know-whats cut off - not looking forward to that very much! (At least neither of us have had an accident like yours -touch wood!)

We'll write again next week. In the meantime, chin up - and we'll both have a hearty purr for you.

Dear Frank, I read about you in our New Zealand Herald newspaper so thought I would send you my condolences. You poor thing! My friend Zac the cat went through a nasty accident a few years ago but he is alright now except for when you look for two eyes shining in the dark. One of his lights have gone out!!! He still patrols the whole neighbourhood for invaders and shifty characters though. Keeps them all at bay. He is a softy underneath all that macho act and will share his dinner with the petite little grey girl cat downstairs. Won't share his bed, that would be going too far! Love and get well soon from Nanny Nyla. XXXXXXX

Dear Frank,
My family and I would like to send our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Our two kitties, Alexandra and Beethoven, send their best regards! Get well soon! The Jones Family, (Especially Alexandra and Beethoven!)

Frank featured in the New Zealand Herald today. I am very sympathic as our family pet boxer dog broke his back at 9 mths in a car accident and was also confined to a cage - it was quite impossible to confine a lively young dog for up to 6 weeks though and in the end we opted for surgery in which his back was cemented together. It didn't run smoothly - he ended up having 3 ops. He was affectionately referred to as our six million dollar dog. It was all worth it and he lived to 14 years. Good luck Frank and try not to move around too much. Kind regards Kay

Frank says: blimey, cemented together??
Hi Frank,
My name is Tina and I live in New Zealand. I've only just heard about your accident, but I'm so happy that you're on the mend.
We had a cat called Smokey who broke both his front legs and had to live in a cage for a while. Not much fun!! I also help support peolpe in NZ that look after stray cats. They all need some human help at some time or another, even if they don't like so! Take care and stay away from cars.

Lots of love,
Tina.

My cat Sparky and I wish you a speedy recovery!

Frank, just thought I would let you know that opening the biggest paper in New Zealand this morning, I read about your misfortune. Good luck for a steady recovery and tell your owner if he wants to see your media coverage in New Zealand to go to www.nzherald.co.nz and scroll down to technology on the first page. kisses

Hi Frank!
I'm a veterinarian in Texas, and it just happens that I took in a kitty who, like you, was the victim of a hit-and-run, and who also sustained a severely broken pelvis. This pretty kitty (Amy; she is a long-haired tabby) has a fracture right through her hip joint socket, so that her leg is almost as bad as yours initially. Her sacrum is also displaced a little, as was yours; I am hoping she will soon be able to peepee and poop of her own will.
Anyway, we are just beginning the long road to a (hopefully) good recovery. Amy and I will look to you for encouragement! love, krys & amy

Frank says: Thankyou
Hi Frank,

If you'd like listening to something a bit different on the radio, I can suggest WCBE, a non-commercial station out of Columbus Ohio, US. They play blues, folk, jazz and some stuff I can't classify.

At midnight [GMT -5:00] they broadcast BBC World Service. We get better quality news coverage from BBC radio than from domestic network television or even CNN.

Saturday at 6:00 pm [GMT -5:00] they broadcast A Prairie Home Companion, a radio variety show that's very popular here.

At 10:00 pm [GMT -5:00] Saturday they run their best music programming of the week, I think. Who knows? You may like it.

Here's thier web address:

The streaming link is at: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wcbe/ppr.pprmain

Hope you are feeling better today. Get well soon!

Dear Frank. So happy that your nine lives is well and truly working. It was lovely to read about you in our National Newspaper. Your countrymen are here playing cricket, downunder, in New Zealand, so maybe you might see them on TV as you recover in your bed. Sorry puss, but we will of course, have to win.!! Ginny,Misty,Boy,Girl &Poppy . NZ

Dear Frank, I am one of those watching your recovery. I live with my human friend, Hester, in Pretoria South Afrika. We are very close and depend on each other a lot. Eight years ago I was bit by our dog friend. She did not really mean to hurt me. However, I was in hospital for almost five months. My jaw was crashed and they had to tie it back with wire for a while. It really hurt a lot and I lost a lot of weight. Hester visited me everyday after work, comb my hair and try to feed me something nice. The vet said that I recovered only because I received a lot of love and attention at the time. I can see that all the love you receive is working well. Take care. Love Bianca (siamese)

Hello there Frank!
I read in the swedish newspaper Expressen about you and your homepage. You are a very cute cat and I hope you will get healthy very soon!!

Hello Frank!

I think that you in deed are a great cat and a great media personality!

Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden, wishing you all the best.

By the way, any advice about how to make a cat loose weight would be very appreciated. My cat is to fat! His Favourite hobby is to eat, eat and again, eat.

Sincerely,
Elin Andersson

Frank says: No, I was fat till I had my accident
Hi there frank. Hope you are feeling a little better today. Yesterday when I looked in you were just sleeping, but today you seem more pukka. I feel pukka too just to see you happy. Bad news about the future sloppy food diet. I prefer a nice juicy bit of bird myself. Bye for now. Jonathan

Frank says: juicy bird..steady
Good morning Frank ! Glad to see you feeling better today . Salomon and Skrållan sends you lots of hugs...with a little help from me ( Rosie)

Sigmund Floyd (tuxedo style, three legs) was worried about Frank. I asked him about it and he held up his back left paw, quite high, quite obvious. I don't know what to make of it, but I think it means they don't like bad drivers. Sigmund had sent a few meows I didn't see on the site so I'm re-sending, because they were from him directly. Sigmund's cat, Silent Sam doesn't know the vehicle injury thing, good for him. The big eyes is where you (cat) look traumatic, with the very carefully aimed licks specifically for injuries. It looks like Frank is set...probably do catfood spots, everything. Maybe Letterman, Lenno. I hope the ruckus isn't too hard on the nerves. There might even be screaming when he emerges from the hospital Screaming wherever he goes. He might think they've all seen mice. He might think that is tremendous good fortune. Silent Sam would. Does he have the soothing stomach-tonic furball relief elixir (used like a tonic to soothe the nerves and digestives?) called Tonic-Lax. And cats like the taste--hey maybe I should go into sales. Does Frank's talking keep you awake at night?

Frank says: I keep everyone up, at least when I'm awake

Hello Frank. Hope you have enjoyed a good sleep. With all of the sleeping time that a sick cat gets you must have a time to consider important world issues. Actually we busy working people do not get the time to think beyond our own office walls. So I am interested to know what you think about the replacement of the White House Cat with a dog and the ousting of the number 10 Downing street Cat?

Frank says: Well dogs are cool, and they need someone with some sense in the WH, as for Mrs Blair and her aversion to cats...well it speaks volumes...
Hope u get well very soon. My male cats Garfield and Thin line sends their love! If u want to, turn in on the best radio channel in the north of Sweden. The address is www.rask.ac

When we logged on this morning you were MOONING!!!!!!! strate into the kamra!!!! Brill!!!!! We're going to stand on the window sill and do it to the postman. Bet yore a reel laff after a cupple of pints! Love Ted & Dougal

Hay Frank!,
Hope you get well really soon!! Im watching all the way from New Zealand, and im amazed it works so well!! Talk to you soon, Laura Bradbury.

Dear Frank,
Our great great great Aunt Sharie the tortoiseshell
had a this happen to her when she was about 2 years old but the vet said she should be put to sleep as she'd not get better. Well her family said she seemed to be so hungry and thirsty when they found her that she must have been coping with any pain and they were going to cope too and look after her, she got better and shared lots of fun times with the family until she went to pet heaven when she was about 16. There's a neat book called "Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul".
-lots of short stories about how we help people just being around for them to love and giving them our love , so you know how much you are loved too.

Dear Frank
Hello again, it's Jacob the kitten from his isolation cage. Congrats on the bid for freedom, I'm sure you've not done any damage! I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of you from the paper, as I'm not allowed near the computer yet cos I'm still in isolation and I reckon you'll be out and about before I am. I had my second bath yesterday, v unimpressed. But I am feeling better than I was and the red stripey mouse is really good for chucking round my cage.
I'm also playing a game called how loud can I make the bell in the plastic ball ring... I haven't been able to tell my mum about my past, but she's managed to piece some of it together and now understands why I don't like being on my own. I was left in an empty flat for 2 weeks. Luckily I had some water to drink else I guess I wouldn't be here purring now. Still it's nice to have the radio to listen to, even though I'd rather just have a constant lap to sit on. Keep up the cage trashing... Jacob xxx

Frank says: Oh I play that, good game, good game
Hi Frank, hope you'll be feeling better soon, perhaps you could ask for a pot of that cat grass to chew on lots of love kate

Dear Frank,

I am so happy that you are doing better nowl
I am just so thrilled to find a cousin in the UK. You look just like me. Genealogy is so difficult for our species -- even when I got my heart trouble the vet said "It's hard to trace the genetics of a cat."
And I am so happy that your human has a good sense of humor. That's really important when a cat gets sick.

Love, your cousin Nesta, Claremont, California

What an absolutely WONDERFUL website!!!! You must be very, VERY loved by your people. (I had a kitty killed by a car).
I love cats (dogs, too; but cats are my favourite).
I have started a 'feral' program where I catch ferals at the shopping centres - keep them if my husband allows, otherwise re-release them. I currently have a beautiful siamese - Kahlua (from the SPCA); Merlin (feral) & Cleopatra (feral - Merlin's sister). I received your web address from my brother in Canada, so you are internationally renown. I do hope Ralph is found soon; & I wish you a complete recovery.

Frank says: thanks

Hi Frank
I read all about you in the paper yesterday and thought I'd pay you a visit. My little cat wishes you well & we will be checking in every now and again to see how your doing! Hope you have a speedy recovery! Love Carla & Sassy

Oh it's so great to see you Frank!! I long to feel your lovely fur against my skin. I'm not allowed a cat of my own- those nosey neighbours accused me of "meddling" with their little tabby Miffy! It was a "special" cuddle! Anyway-the truth will out. In the meantime I can while away the days gazing at you.

Keep your chin up, Frank.

Once you are better I wanna see some stonking Elvis moves now you have the pelvis for it.

Big strokes and licks,

Flat

Frank says: uuhu
Hi Frank,

Hope your feeling better soon. Seeing that your getting so much attention at the moment, do you think you could be a bit more lively and have a go at doing a bit of entertaining please?

Once your all recovered and released, will this webcam still be live with a new inmate?

Frank says: 1) No I'm sleepy

2) Not sure

Hi Frank

I registered for your 3rd camera. The link doesnt seem to work. I've tried from home and from work. Is there a problem with it?

Pete

Frank says: no, please try again
I found out about this great site when i watched the news yesterday (march 14). There was an intresting feature in that news program, it is called "TV3 direkt" (the channel is TV3). Unfortunately; there is nothing about this on their web page (http://www.tv3.se/tv3direkt.asp). The web page and the program are in swedish.

Good Morning Frank, you look all cosy and sleepy! I wish i was in bed too. Me and Lynn Lady want a fluffy miiiaooww like you to be our friend (fancy it?!), but my monkees might get jealous - and we are out all day and couldnt play with you :o(
Hope you get better soon!
love josef xx

We saw your article in today's New Zealand Herald in Auckland - we think your site is amazing and hope Frank gets well soon.

Hello!
My name is Janson and I´m 18 years old. When I was younger I also was hit by a car, and as you can hear I´m still going on so there are lots of things for you to look forward to!

Bestes, Janson

hi frank hope are getting better

Hi Frank!

My owner Lisa and I (Py) read about you in a swedish newspaper today (at the web) http://www.expressen.se/article.asp?id=101408
and we really hope that you recover soon. We have sent you a picture of me at my favrite place to hide when I play with Lisa. We hope that you are getting better soon so you can play outdoors again now when the spring is comming!

Love Py & Lisa

Hi Frank
My cat Jura fell 70 foot off a viaduct and smashed her leg into a million pieces, so we know what you are going through. She is pinned back together and is fine, climbing trees and everything. Hope you feel better soon too.

Frank says: 70 foot wall, blimey. Take a chute next time :-)
Dear Franklet - greetings from Melbourne, Australia!

Hope you get better very soon - but you must understand that you *won't* get better quickly if you insist on jumping out and running downstairs. Jumping over the bannisters is even *worse*, so be a good boy, rest a lot, and make a quick recovery. One of my cats, Gingee (original name for a ginger cat, huh!?), sits on my desk next to me and we watch you every day. Gingee says it would be really cool if you could come over and bump your nose on the web cam so that he could say hello to you (he has this vague idea that if you did that, you'd be able to see him. I tried to tell him that it doesn't work like that, but he doesn't believe me! Funny, that!)

Anyway, love and best wishes from all of us here -

Winter, Callan, Lisa and Kate (humans)
as well as
Boojums, Gingee and Flipper (felines)

P.S. If you like, you can see Boo, Gingee and Flipper here: http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~winter/cat-a-log.htm

Dear Frank, Just letting you know, I read about you in the New Zealand Herald on Thursday March 14th,
and I've spent ages reading the letters people have sent you, should make you and your family feel so good, it sure makes me feel good

brought forth a big outpouring of sharing and caring. Best of purrs and smooches to you and yours. Sootyfoot , Cameo and best mate Sandy dog who's a Shepherd X smooch each other and even eat together. So heres knowing you'll soon be back home again with your best mates. Hey, Frank:
You've made the UPI wire again. Check out Wes Stewart's 'Gizmorama' column, posted 445 am EST. (Do a site search by desk, click on 'Life & Mind', and then look for 'Gizmorama'. Trust me, it's there -- I know, I'm the publishing editor.)

Hello from Zimbabwe!
Hi Frank, I just wanted you to know that I had a cat like you once too. He was a big fat animal with a broken tail, it was run over when he was little. As he got older, he ran into more accidents until one day he was eaten by the dog next door. I don't know why everyone made such a meal out of it. I gave my heart to a cat once and I felt I could never do again until I sat and watched you do ABSOLUTELY nothing for hours and hours on end. You just lie there and sleep, and twitch and sleep some more. Just lying there! Get up Frank, DO SOMETHING for goodness sakes!

Frank says: no, well maybe
Well, Frank, now you are a celebrity i Sweden too.

Get well.

Cheers

Hi frank saw on the news hear in sweden about u
being on the net
hope u get well soon

Hello again Frank
You are looking chipper today. We were only aware of your plight yesterday (our owners just do not keep us up to date - whatever can we do with them!) We too are from Wood Green - sorry states given a nice home (but we do our best to shred things when the mood takes us!) One thing we want to help with is finding Ralph but as we don't know from where he is missing, we are not sure where to look! We love the fact that you have such window to the outside world from your confinement - we are awaiting the installation of a door in the owners door, for some reason they call it a cat flap (never been in a flap in our lives to be honest - too much kip to catch up with). Anyway, we all think you are very cute - perhaps you could pop round for tea and scones when you are better. Kedi, Poods and Mandu too
PS Mandu is diabetic so he understands the vet thing all too well!

Frank,

Glad to see you back on your paws.

I've just seen the X-Rays and have a question, is the pin to stay in or will it be removed when the bones have knitted together again?

Regards

Chris

Frank says: Chris

The pin fell out, I'll get D to show you it next week (if you buy him a pint of dinner!)

Hello Frank!

Hope you will be better soon so that you can go out in the sun and play.

Hello!

Wednesday, March 13, Frank was on the news on Swedish television, chanal 4.

Kathrin Wennman
Sweden

Hi Frank!

Hope you're feeling better soon! I look in on you many times each day. What a brave, handsome lad you are!

I recommend the radio station WHRO-FM for your listening pleasure. Classical music is just the thing for helping mind and body recouperate!

The URL for this station is: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/whro/ppr.pprmain and the email address for them is support@whro.net. This station comes out of Norfolk, Virginia in USA, which is where I live now. It's a pretty good classical music station, and I hope they will play something nice for you.

I suggest that when you look at their dropdown menu that you choose either the Pipe Dreams programme or the one called Fresh Air. The Performance Today has too much talk and not enough music, if you ask me. I'm not too sure about All Things Considered, and the rest are ALL talk. Feh.

We keep WHRO tuned in for our cats. It started when one of our little leukaemia babies (Bethany) got sick and died (on 7th September 2001), and her sister (who also had leukaemia and to be kept in isolation) missed her sister so much and was so horribly lonely that we got her a radio to keep her company when we could not be right there for her every minute, because she would cry at the door when we would leave. She loved the radio so much that now we leave it on all the time for all of the cats throughout the house.

Sadly our little Konstanze passed away on 26th January 2002. She was the last of the leukaemia litter, and we miss all of them so very much.

We still have 22 others, each and every one of them a right character, and music lovers every one!

Well, Frank, take good care of your humans, and don't let them get too cheeky -- remember, you're a STAR now!

Hugs and purrs to you,
Laura and the 22 Feline Princes and Princesses

Hi Frank,
Sorry to hear about your accident. I tried to send you a mouse to cheer you up, but my mum and dad wouldn't post it to you. They just don't understand the way a mouse can cheer you up. Never mind, you'll be soon on the hunt yourself. Keep your chin up. Felix

Frank says: mums and dads eh...
Aaaaaaaah, Frank.... you escaped!

Don't worry mate, soon you will be freeeeee

Frank says: alas not ....
This is a message for Frank's PR Managers. I would love to know how many hits Frank's website has had and how many messages he receives. Can you give us a regular update?

>From an anorak
p.s. give kiss to Frank from me

Frank says: 600,000 hits or so in the last 4 weeks, over 5500 messages
Dearest Frank.
Didn't mean that thing yesterday about the lethal injection, just a little joke. Hope you get better and are soon frolliking around like a good'un. ps, I think that your carers should give you some more toys to stimulate your mind and keep you a little bit more active. I mean whoever knew of a cat that just slept all day...well never mind. Pecker up old boy.

Frank says: Are you The V Price from the films?
I hope you get well soon.

Hi Frankie boy,

Here is a tip for when you are back on your paws again to get attention from your slaves....

Sit on top of the television when your humans are watching the box and fix them with an unblinking stare - see how long you can keep this up before your humans start exercising and waving their arms around and calling your name out - its a real treat.....

Best wishes - FREE THE CAMBRIDGE ONE....

Love Judith (and Cosmic)

Frank says: hahaha
Hope you feel better soon!

This message is for Frank's owner:
I have a dog and she is in Singapore at the moment for quarantine. I feel very concerned about her and would love to get pet-cam so I can watch her from my home in New Zealand.
I would appreciate very much if you could help me and send me some information on how to buy one? Are you distributing or selling pet-cam?
Please, do take some time out and reply to my mail.

Thanks Very much

i got recommened this site and had no idea what it was about it's GREAT i love i think it has now become one of my favourites!!!!! and i think that my cat audrey is fully in love with him love frank and his owners loads buggie and audrey!!!!!*

Hi Frank,
We are two cats here in Stockholm and we saw your story..we hope that you'll get well soon. We share your interests about sleeping and eating but we also go out for a while every day. (we are not supposed to use the PC after walking on the keyboard so we let our master write this) Mojje 4 kg and 16 years, Stisse 9 kg and 7 years.

Hi dear Frank,
I know you are getting better because you are behaving exactly the same as I did 4 years ago when I had a nasty encounter with a car outside my house. My left arm was badly broken, but luckily nothing else. My parents took me to hospital immediately, it was Boxing day, but fortunately the emergency services were open. I had to also be enclosed in a room for 2 months with lots of cushions around so I wouldn't hurt myself when I moved. I hated it, but now I am back to normal. My mummy doesn't let me or my brother Tams out as she worries about us being alone in the street. Trust me, it is much better to be inside warm and cosy sleeping on soft cushions. By the way, my name is Zafiro and I am a beautiful Blue point Birman. I will write soon. Love and best wishes

Dear Frank. I hope you get better and you can come out of the cage soon, (and bevare of the cars. Love Christina.

Here's an imaginary Fjord salmon for you, Frank!
You're the cutest cat on the web. We're rooting for you.

Dear Frank

My, you are a popular cat aren't you.

I'm glad to see that you're making a recovery. My boyfriend Damien got a broken pelvis when he too was hit by a car. Unfortunately he didn't recover as quickly as you should and still walks with a limp now.

Hopefully, you're recovery should give him some encouragement and you'll both be running around shortly (though not together as you probably don't have much in common)

Hopefully plenty of sleep and stroking will aid the recovery.

Get well soon

Hi Frank!

We were all so sorry to hear of your accident and that you will be cage bound for the next six weeks or so. Our cat Fluffy sends you best wishes for a speedy recovery and we will keep up to date with your progress.

Frank,

All my furry friends would like to wish you well. They too have had their ups and downs but they've come through it OK.

It says that my mummy (who is a vet) says that she thinks I must be very sore and bored and that she says we must be careful when we cross the road or we might get in the same trouble.

She says that she thinks Frank is very cute and wishes him all the best and plenty of milk, (but if anyone asks she didnt recommend the milk!!)

Frank says: I'm not telling anyone
Hello Frank,

I'm glad you website is popular, and everyone hopes you get better soon.

I do also hope that DAVID will give you your freedom as SOON as you are ready.

I will be sad to see the site leave, but I wouldn't like to think you get caged LONGER just because the site is so popular.

Frank says: How very cynical, I'll be out of the CAGE when the VET says so, no sooner and no later
Dear Frank,

I am really sorry to hear about your accident, and I hope you are feeling a little bit better now.

My cat,Claude wanted to send his love to you aswell and hopes you'll be out and about soon.

Take lots of care of yourself

Our Mommy told us all about your injuries and we were very distressed to hear about your accident and the way you were left, as it can happen to any of us. You seem a very handsome pussy cat and I'm sure all this attention will find you a bonny feline fancy.

All the best for a very happy and cosy future

Hi Frank,
I heard about your accident and web site on Virgin Radio, which you can log on to at virginradio.co.uk. I have four cats, their names are Lucy,Minstral,Houdini and Monty. We'll keep an eye on your progress and look forward to recieving your newsletter.

Bye for now.

Love Debbie Burton, Nottingham

While browsing through your messages I found that my 3 furry friends, Gigi, Rosie and Arturo, had written to you without telling me - the naughty felines. May I, therefore, add my good wishes along with those of the 35 cats I feed and muck out on a Saturday morning in "Chats Libres", a cat society in Brussels. Big hug, Frank old boy, from Alma

HI, Frank: My feline escape artist, Sparky, managed to get out on me last night when I left for work. He hasn't managed it in a while, but he seems to have pretty good road sense, so hopefully he'll be OK - it just makes me nervous :0 I see you have a neighbor who's in the same situation as you now - maybe you could keep each other company. You're getting so many messages now that I can't read them all! Say hello to that Brighton Boy chap from Hove for me- he seems like an interesting fellow. I think David needs to hire a translator! LOL! Carol

Hello Frank!

Hi Frankie!
I live in South Africa and heard on a local radio station (Radio Jacaranda) all about your accident and this website. I am a BIG CAT LOVER and absolutely adore my own black cat. He's name is "Jonty" - named after the famous South African cricket player Jonty Rhodes - for his excellent jumping abilities. Frank, since I heard about you for the first time, that was Monday, 11 March, I have been watching you everyday. You are a beautiful cat and surely are very lucky to have such loving & caring owners! Frank, I hope the old pelvis will heal in no time! Meantime I shall just keep on watching you "sleeping" away your time!

Hi Frank
Hope you're feeling better. I made a bid for freedom myself this morning - tried to get out the bathroom window, but my owner (Gillian) seems to think I'm still too small to go out. It's those rabbits that she keeps in the back garden... if only I could get through the wire...
Lots of love

Dear Frank!
I do so hope that you will get well quickly. Your two legged companion/slave needs you to take care of him. I know - I just lost my beloved furry friend Vincent and feel confused and lonely. Big, big hug och gentle pat on the head. Agneta Stockholm, Sweden

Dear Frank, One of my cats -- Effie -- was run over in 1998 and fractured her pelvis badly. There was little serious internal damage, but she had to have her tail amputated. Her pelvis healed in due course and it would be difficult to believe, from her activities, that there had ever been anything wrong with her now. Even without a tail, she climbs, jumps, and balances with astonishing energy. So I hope that's a cheering story for you while you are getting better (which you definitely will). I send loads of sympathy. It's a great idea to have the webcams set up!
Best wishes
Francis O'Gorman

Frank says: thankyou

Poor Frankie!

You look SO BORED! For how much longer do you need to stay in that cage? Not that I question that this temporary solution was necessary for your recovering, but I do feel truly sorry for you. As a cat, you must hate not being able to go wherever you like.

Frank says: I do, but soon I'll be FREEEEEEE
Hello Frank!

Hi Frank
Glad to see you looking soooo good - me (I'm Sox) and my brother Cookie want to wish you well... We're Maine Coon cats from Yorkshire. I wanted to say to you that poor Cookie had to have a knee operation when he was just a little kitten and had a pin put into it. Mum bought him a huge cage just like yours. He says he knows how you feel and he used to trash his cage too; Mum used to get really sick of tidying it up! I got very lonely because I wasn't allowed to play with him but he is all better now, like you soon will be.
Any time you are in Huddersfield, stop by and have a glass of wine with us! (OK, me; Cookie doesn't drink wine!)
Mum told us she got sent the website link by her mate Mark in Australia, so it looks like you are truly world famous! Love and purrrrrrrrrs Sox & Cookie

Frank says: Wine...on my way
Hey up Frank, how's it going???

Hi Frank
one of my past moggies Bebe had a similar accident to you over twenty years ago but our wonderful Vet pinned and plated her pelvis and leg to make her nearly as good as new. She went on to live to the ripe old age of 19 without any problems apart from the odd 'blockage' which was helped with Isogel sprinkled on her food. Don't worry, you'll be fine - a Bionic Moggie!

Hi Frank,
Teddy our 11 month old ginger boy would like to pass on his sympathy to you, as he is also on cage rest, having taken on a car and lost! which has resulted in him having a pin in his backleg. Teddy is back with in the vets at the moment( they are absolutely brilliant ) as he has been in lots of pain probably caused by some nerve trauma, so he is rather despondent. His stepbrother Burghley also the same age, lost his life suddenly last week, to liver cancer, which has left a huge gap in all our lives.
So Frank, rest and mend ready for the summer and it will be great to feel the sun on your back! Regards from Frognall Friends of cats and dogs.

Frank says: thanks, I hope Teddy gets better soon
Poor Frank! Just heard about your plight and hope that you get better soon. Our two rescue cats send their regards and ask you to watch out in the future for those large lumps of metal with rubber corners.

Hi Frank,

It is nice to see your making great progress. You may be a little down knowing that you have to live in the cage for the next 6 weeks. But my cat, Kathy wanted me to tell you her experience of being very, very sick when she was 5 month's old. She had to stay in bed for over a month to recover completely. So keep your spirit up. You have an army of supporters who are rooting for your being kitty again soon.

Hi again Frank,
I don't want to be vulgar, but you should suggest to your human that there's a lot of money to be made through advertising on a website as popular as this one. Then the money could be used to pay your vet bills and buy you a nice comfy indoor cat-kennel. What do you think? Get well soon, Love Mikey the Pikey.

Hi Frank,

Catching 40 winks again I see.

I'm a moggy called Poppy and I was wondering if you have any advice for me with regard to my trip to the vet's on Monday. I've had an operation as a result of an infected airgun pellet wound and I've got a big sticking plaster on my tummy from my armpits to my bikini line and I was hoping you might suggest the best way to retain my composure whilst the vet removes the plaster.

Anyway, glad to see your on the mend,

Love and licks,
