Frank the cat was hit by a car in Cambridge at the end of January and suffered a broken pelvis. His owner, David Donnan, happens to be the managing director of Internet firm Igentics, so he decided to test out some of the company's software via a site built for Frank. Its popularity grew quickly. "People like cats and are working away all day in stressful environments and with the click of a mouse can see a nice furry animal," Donnan said. A Google search for "Frank the cat" delivers Donnan's project as the top result. Video of the kitty, as well as his X-rays and information about his recovery, can be seen at cathospital.co.uk. Will pop on line every day to see how you doing. Claude age 11 a very spoilt moggy. It is fantastic that your family love you enough to give you the best medical care. This does not come cheap... You are a most lucky cat, although being confined to your pen during the day must get very boring. Just look forward to the day when you can smell the sweet air again and laze in the sun, which hopefully will be in a very short time (well about 4 weeks!!) I know it is extremely rude to talk about money but how much did the surgery cost? My cats are all insured as a safeguard against unforseen expensive vet bills, as I could not bare to forego treatment just because I could not afford it. Frank says: The bill is a bit complex as they knocked a bit off as they said they thought the operation was a failure (this is before we had even thought about the site). At the moment his bill is about £500, I expect another £100 or so if everything is ok. We don't have insurance on any of our animals but we are thinking about it :-) Dear Frank, My three cats, Thumper, Little Nellie Kelly and Murphy, and I hope you get better really soon.
