Messages to Frank - 12th Mar page 3
Hi Frank! It's my birthday today- wish you could come down the pub with us after work today! We're sending this message from New Broadcasting house Manchester. My cat is called Tilly- she's a very pretty girl and she says 'get well soon Frank.' Lots of love from Jessica, Lucy and Tilly and the BBC Philharmonic orchestra. xxxxxx
Frank says: Oh no too late, sorry. Hope you had a very happy birthday
Suggest perhaps some CLASSIC FM (for the midnight classics) this may help to relax and sleep. Even if you don't need to - it's a very pleasant way to snooze off.
I will be watching your progress and hope you make a full recovery.
Frank says: ok thanks
Hi Frank,
Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. A couple of years ago a got my tummy twisted up inside and I almost died. Luckily my mummy and daddy took me to the vet and by the time that they came to visit me in the evening, I tried to go home with them even though I had a drip in my foot and still needed a major operation the next day. I'm better now and feel my old self again and chase my friend Kitkat around my catflat.
There was an article about Frank on page 6 of the (Free) Metro Newspaper distributed in Edinburgh. Couldnt find anything on their web site tho.
Hope Frank is better soon

Get well quick, Frank!
You are very lucky--my kitty was hit by a car last week and didn't make it, so I'm pulling for you.
Frank says: Sorry
Get well soon mate. We're envious of your media fame but know that as a true star you won't let it change you.
Frank says: Nope, now peel me a grape
Get well soon - lots of good thoughts coming your way. How can I send Uncle Buck's pic to you? Thanks
Frank says: email to frank@cathospital.co.uk, please be aware we have a huge backlog of pictures
Hey Frank,
I tried to mail you earlier and tell you about my operation, but as I tried to walk over to the return key to change the paragraph, I hit send instead!
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that you are a fine figure of a cat!! I'm 3 and a half, have the most tantalizing green eyes and black fur like the softest and best velvet. I was just wondering if you'd like to MEEEOWWW get together sometime?!
In the meantime,
Get well soon and MEEEOWWW for now!

Hope you are feeling better Frank.
I only have one eye and do not miss out on any fun at all. You can soon train your owners not to dangle toys in front of doors and walls as you loose you depth perception with just the one eye. I have had a few headaches myself!

Hi Frank get well soon. We are so sorry your not well its such a shame but we do enjoy seeing you on the mend Frank. Hope you make a speedy recovery soon. The boys of the basement.
Hello Frank! I am so happy to hear that you are doing better. I hope that you will be fully recovered very soon. It must be awful to be stuck in that cage for so long. Be patient my friend, you have good people looking after you & hopefully will be as good as new! Sending you lots of love---hang in there! Love, Sylvia
Dear Frank,
Do they ever feed you?
You seem to sleep all the time.
Frank says: Of course they feed me or I'd be dead, no I do not sleep all the time. I eat and go to the toilet
Hi Frank,
Just thought we'd send you a note to say get better soon! The world is full of mice waiting for your return to the Great Outdoors. A little bit about us: We'e 11 months old brothers, Harry (black with a bit of white) and Ron (all black), and we've been in our new home for about 3 weeks now. Our new humans chose us at the RSPCA centre in Orsett.
We'll keep monitoring your progress - paws crossed you'll be up and terrorising the neighbourhood before long!
Lots of love,

I am so glad that you are on the mend and hope you will be out of your cage soon coz summer is coming and there will be lots of new adventures waiting for you to explore - in the meantime I think you should listen to SCLUB 7 coz they always cheer me up when I am feeling poorly.

Dear Frank,
Why, why why have you sold out? I am an avid follower of your progress, and was very appreciative of the inherent metaphor of your confinement, seeing the symbolism contained within your temporary imprisonment.
But today I was most dissapointed to come to see how you are getting on, only to find some graceless pop-up advert window appear, blocking my view of your often somnabulent form.
Are things truly that desparate for you? If so, why not instead opt for a Paypal-type donation system...I know I for one would have contributed significantly toward your vet bills, Whiskas, and server hosting costs, as would, I'm sure any of the other countless admirers you now have.
Regardless, get well soon, although I think I'll probably not need to see how you are doing from now on, being somewhat allergic to gaudy pop-up windows.
Yours dissapointedly,
Tim.
Frank says: Tim, Sorry about that, it was beyond our control and as soon as we saw it we removed it. Don't worry no popups at Cathospital
Hello Frank. How's your house?
Frank says: Err, nice thanks
Frank
My cat fancies you...
Frank says: cool, thats loads today, I might have to buy a little black book
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Dear Frank
Hope you are feeling purr-fect soon. I bet you will be pleased to get out of that cage and have a roam around. That is my fav - thing to do - along with eating - sleeping and having a human brush my long fluffy fur. Thinking of you - Oscar the persian.
Poor kitty! I'm so glad that your well on the way to recovery and I hope that you continue to live a long and happy life with your devoted owners.

Frank, here's a poem to cheer you up
There was a young cat called Frank,
whose mind from the bump was a blank.
He can remember the road
and also the code, (highway one that is)
Which is just as well because the guy who bashed into him and put him in hospital wasn't aware of it!
Sorry Frank, but I couldn't think of a word to describe the man who hit you that would rhyme with "Frank" - can anybody else?
Anyway, you are looking better each day, pppppppppppuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Neal
Frank says: I can think of at least one word, but it's rude
Came on here today when I read about it in London's Metro newspaper today.
When will Frank be able to leave his cage? Is almost two months.
Love cats.
Frank says: Another 4 weeks or so
Hi Frank the Cat,
I suggest listening to jazz on www.kcsm.org! It can be very healing!
Cars are bad, huh. Big metal boxes on wheels with cuckoo two legged, yelling maniacs in them.
watch out next time sweetie

Franky....come and live with me in the countryside!
There are LOTS of fields (full of mice, voles, and rabbits) to wander about in, and normally not a horrid car in sight.
I just had an operation and I lost a lot of fur too..but its already growing back and those mices are taking up their running lessons again!
My human-dad wants to put a webcam on my head so he can see where I go...but I'm TOO FAST for him now!
Get well soon...I'll check on you later via "Cat Wail"
Frank
Just a note to say that my name is Marmite and I spent six weeks in a cage after a road accident a few years ago. However, Frankie boy, it hasn't slowed me down at all - I'm now 19 years old (that's about 104 in cat years) and still giving those young kitties a run for their money........ keep yer pecker up old mate. xxx Marmite
Good Luck Frank

hello frank,
i watch you all day at work - you have quite a fan base at shell centre. i just have one question for you - where do you go when you disapear from the web cam?? do you go for a walk or some thing? hope you get better soon. lots of love, cxxxx
Frank says: Hmm when a cat has to go a cat has to go, if you get my drift
I'm an Italian kitty. I just heard your story today and I wanted to tell you my story to let you know you are not alone. When I was only roughly 30 days old I was hit by a car and noone helped me for 4 long days. I was then taken to the shelter, my right front and back legs were badly broken and my pelvis was also badly smashed (so I know how you feel). I had gangrene and so I lost part of my front leg (my paw is joined to my elbow hoint at a funny angle, a bit like a hockey stick). But they saved me. I understand it's HORRIBLE being locked in a cage, I was in a small cage, on my own, the volunteers had little time to play with me or cuddle with me, for over 4 months bandaged like an egyptian mummy, at least yuo're in your own home (by the way as soon as you feel like it squeeze them as much as you can for treats - it works). Luckily someone adopted me as soon as I could get out of my prison.
So my advice is, stay calm and still if they tell you to do so, don't jump when you are not supposed to, take your medicine and THINGS WILL GET BETTER IN TIME. Even with my disability I am a very lively cat, I run everywhere and love to chase the other cats that live with me, I developed a severe hatred for cages and closed spaces though.
So chin up Frankie
Your friend
Prema
Fraaaank.......where are you? Come back, the empty cage is worrying me

Hi Frank
Heard about your website on radio 2 yesterday (I was stuck in traffic with no cassetts - that's my excuse) and thought I would take a look.
Sorry about your accident, I managed to drive my Mini Cooper into a Volvo just before Christmas but fortunatly no one was hurt - these things happen.
You appear to be on the mend but must be so bored. Keep cheerful, you will be out of hospital when the weather starts to get warmer.
Take care
Luv and hugs
Annette
I've been locked up for a while now too, so I can sympathise with you frank! xx
Hey Frank,
You are so cute, get well soon. Looking fwd to the roaming version of your webcam but please be more careful on the busy roads, perhaps a little fluorescent jacket might be a good idea.
xxx
Hello Frank.
I heard about you on Radio 2 (Johnnie Walker show) yesterday. Nice to see you're doing so well.
I saw an article about you in the Metro newspaper (London edition) today. You seem very popular.
Get well soon, my furry friend.

Frank when will you be set free, you've been in hospital a very long time now you poor thing.
Frank says: in about 4 weeks
Is there some form of "prodder" we can use to make Frank move for the camera??
A little more animated would provide much more entertainment!
Frank says: oi NOOOO
It has to be 6music!! Change the channel Frank will be annoyed if you don't change it! :)
Frank says: That was yesterday...keep up
Dear Frank,
The same damn thing happened to me last year!!!
My Vet also expressed his concerns about my future wellbeing, however, I made a full recovery and am back to complete normal, running circles around the opposition (and my MUM). I'm fit as a flea and you would never guess that I was 8 when I had my accident, cos I'm still as sprightly as a kitten. My only residual problem is a couple of bald patches from where the car dragged me, which have never grown back. Take care of yourself and have a speedy and full recovery, Lots of love Haze...
radio 6. it's ace!
I was very sad to hear about Franks severe injury.I hope he will get well soon.I love cats but cant have one because my big brother has a touch of asthma.
Frank,
So sorry to hear of your accident. Hope you are feeling much better these days.
I am currently a cat-less human. I had to leave my kitty with a foster mom when I moved to England a few years ago, and I miss her lots. Someday, when we move back to the States, I will see her again.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Hugs,
Ishaia
Not to worry. Spring is almost here.
Hi .. I'm a Veterinarian in Brasil .. and I enjoy with this site.
Go Frank !
Hello Frank,
my carer, Pam told me all about you and I just wanted to say that I had trouble about 18 months ago with my back legs due to an accident. The vet gave me acupuncture and it did the trick. Before the treatment I couldn't jump up and had to claw my way up using my front paws.
Now I can climb up fence posts and can let my carers know when it's time to get up by climbing onto their bedroom window ledge (on the first floor) and mieowing very loudly. Funny, it always seem to do the trick and I always get let in and given a bowl of Whiskas - even at 6.00 in the morning!
Hope you are on the mend and soon up to your old tricks,
Tinker Laughton (black and white 14 year old moggie).
Get well soon my sooooooooooooooooon!
Dear Frank,
Wishing you a speedy recovery from a Los Angeles, California cat owner.
Dear Frank
I read about your accident in the Edinburgh metro newspaper today and sneeked a peek at your website as soon a s I got in to work today. Glad that your on the mend and hope that you get out and about doing what cats do soon.
Take it easy buddy.
Love and big hugs
Lulu

Dear Frank,
We hope that, before long, you will feel frisky and forget all about this hospital. Stay away from cars. Mice are much more fun and they don't tend to run you down.
Thinking of you and sending head rubs through the 'net: Your friends in North Carolina...
I am a West Highland Terrier called Chivas - I read about your plight in today's paper and just wish you a speedy recovery! ( nothing wrong with me! )
Get well, Frank! You are a cutie!
Dear Frank,
I am happy you are making steady progress. Keep it up! And please give this message to your human friends.
Dear wonderful people who love cats!
I just had a thought that you might tuck away for another day when you aren't as busy, but I wanted to share it with you now.
I have been so troubled by all the cats and dogs who are euthanized in the United States (don't know the situation in England but it may be similar). At some future date I wish at the cat hospital you could show happy cats and dogs AFTER they have been altered or neutered to encourage other pet owners to be responsible. There is such a great need to help animals, and I think you might have the ability to make a huge impact in this way.
Thanks for your time!
A friend in Texas
Hello Franky,
I'm using my mums e-mail address. Just thought I would send you a message, an year and a half ago I was hit by a car, they didn't stop to help me either, I just about found my own way home! I fractured my pelvis in 3 places and like you I had to live in a cage for 12 weeks, bit boring but mum and dad took the cage in the garden when the sun was out for a little while, and I did get spoilt rotten. I just wanted to let you know that I'm fine now, I can run and jump, climb trees and to my mums disgust, I still bring live birds in and let them go in the lounge, thats great fun, mum hates flapping birds. Well I hope your feeling better soon Lots of Love PhoebeXX
Frank says: 12 weeks...oh no
Hi Frank,
I've been having to wear a collar for the last few days - just as miserable as being confined to a cage. I keep walking into walls and doors 'cos I've lost my peripheral vision. Still, at least I'll be free of my collar before you're outta there. Never mind - glad to see you're getting on so well. My owner has been riveted by your site since she found out about it yesterday - she's been giving hourly updates to her work colleagues. Glad you're such a success. Get well soon xxxxx
With the recent loss of my 19 year old cat Penny, I am getting my "kitty fix" reading your web site. I hope Frank is doing OK. Perhaps he would like to watch a fish tank? I found that in the past this provided huge amounts of entertainment for cats at home.
V =^..^=
