Messages to Frank - 11th March
Dear Frank, I am recovering from an upper respiratory infection. I had to go see my vet and get a shot in the back of my behind. I also have had to take pills---three a day. I don't like
pills and I tell my human what I think of her. I write Paw Pal letters to lots of felines and a few canines. I will tell them about you--I bet they will write you too. I received a book from
England at Christmas from my aunt Becky. She brought me "George the Pavilion Cat" and we read it often. I like it. The cat is black and white and I am gray and white. I believe I surely
from be a descendent of Dick Whittington's cat and therefore somewhat English. We hope you get well soon. Purrs, Your pal pal Winston Winston, yes a very English name for a
very English cat

Hi Frank, hope you're up and running very soon, would love to visit but my "mum" can't stand my yowling every time I go in a car! She says you are gorgeous so I'm a bit
jealous...Lots of love and hugs from me and her xxxxxxx I do that in the car but it's because I like to be driven very fast

Whiskas send his best wishes for a speedy recovery. Whiskas and his "dad" George in Sydney Australia Thanks
Meow Frank, I'm a 3 year old Turkish Van-style long-haired gorgeous calico. I also spent time at a clinic when I had a miscarriage and also a terrible virus. It took me several months
of good care and force-feeding until I recovered my health. Now I'm fine and one of my favorite hobbies is eating! I was also "fixed" so my original problem won't happen ever again. I was
lucky that an informed human found me because I was a stray when all the problems started. Please tell the humans with whom you live not to let you outside alone or better yet, to build
you a nice protected enclosure where you can sun yourself and play. Good luck and purrs, BC Thanks
best wishes from Sarajevo Wow Sarajevo !

Dearest Frank,
We were hoping you might consider our request for temporary lodgings but you must have fallen asleep while going thro' your extensive fan mail. If you could accomodate us we would be ever so helpful answering letters as we have extensive experience in pawmarking important pieces of paper. Two of us are ladies - age 6 and 4 so if you like older women.......(don't worry about our brothers - we can handle them) XXXXXXXXX
Hello, again Frank. You get lots of mail fron Norway don't you? Wow!! I only live up the road from you, in Norfolk. I notice lots of people suggest a run for you when you recover - at the risk of being controversial, I would rather my 2 cats took a risk and had their freedom. It just seems like a bigger version of your cage to me. I guess I might think again if they roamed far, but they don't seem to go beyond our garden. Or in fact, out of the house, if they can be bothered to wake up for long enough. I guess your owners are quite sensible (apart from the idea of putting their cat on the world wide web...) and they will decide what is best for you without the advice of well meaning people like myself! You are obviously a very handsome little cat but I see why you spend so much time lying down. It's your tail, isn't it? I caught sight of it the other day and I know how vain you cats are. I suppose you don't want to expose it to the cameras. Not to worry, you're still a lovely boy! Heather
No doubt the BBC article about you today will bring you more visitors. Get well soon !
You're on the BBC News website!
http://news.bbc.co.uk
Found you via an article on the BBC news website, love it , love it, love it. I hope he enjoys the attention and gets all better soon.
Hi Frank, I had exactly the same accident as you, some human driving too fast ran me over. My nice owner Stu found me in a neighbours garden and rushed me to the vet. I was quite ill as I was hit in the night, and not found till lunch time. The vet x-rayed me after a little time on a drip and decided to refer me to an excellent pet orthopod surgeon called Hamish. He pinned and plated my broken pelvis wonderfully. I like you had to spend months in a cage until it healed, my owners even cancelled a holiday to look after me!!! I am very well now, and can jump and run like any other cat on our street, my right rear foot sticks out a bit, but hey - I'm fine apart from that - well apart from a scar on my neck where I had a absyss on my neck which nearly chocked me!! a couple of months ago. I hope yopu get well soon, the pain and the boredom in the cage is worth it. I too am listening to bbc6music - it's good isn't it. My owners gave me fresh fish most days for my lunch - I think that helped.
Thinking of you Izzy (Bristol)
Meeeoww and best wishes Frank, Get well soon (we are sure that you will) And a plenty of happy days out there Only please be careful as cars are tough

Dear Frank,We're really sorry to see you shut in a cage - we hate being shut in boxes, especially to go to the vet. We are all hoping you are better soon and can go out and snooze in the sun. If you fancy a holiday to recuperate, do come to Orkney, as we have lots of juicy voles and hardly any traffic. Love, Katya, Mikro, Mimi and Gingernuts in Tankerness, Orkney
Hello Frank Greetings from snowy Ontario, Canada. I am Bomber, a dark grey boy and I have been with my loving "parents" since my birth in June 1983. I always read the BBC news on the Internet with my "Mom" every morning and today we saw your story. We have watched you on the webcam and are so pleased to see that you are making a good recovery. We will be following your progress over the coming weeks and hope that you will soon be better. My "Mom and Dad" are from England. When they came to Canada 25 years ago they brought their cat with them, his name was Brutus. Best Wishes Bomber, my sisters Miracle and Nissi, and "parents" Sylvia and Chris
Hang in there little dude :-) Get well soon .. X X X X
Why the sudden dramatic rise in the number of people watching Frank today? In recent days the number of 'Frank Watchers' seems to average out at around two to four hundred at peak times. Today however at 13.00 hrs. there were more than eleven hundred people watching. The number had risen rapidly all morning. Has he been featured in one of the major media channels or newspapers?
Dear Frank, I hope you get well soon. I have a cat and he wishes you well too. He has his own website and his name is Pimmi. Just look at www.rackham.com.
Lots of love Eddie Boy xxx
Hi Frank, hope you get better soon and as a mad cat fan I loved your website as well as you! :) Just to let you know (you probably do already) that you have now hit the bigtime and are famous throught the country! You are currently on the BBC website under their news section where I found out all about you (although sadly this did not include your actual web address, I had to search for that one :) Love Sian xxxx
I WANT TO MARRY FRANK. He shares all my favourite things - sleeping, eating and some more sleeping. And loves to be the centre of attention - a match made in heaven! PS: I hate fish as well - see its karma GET WELL SOON!!!!!!

Frank, like you, I was confined to a cage for 8 weeks after some nice person drove over me while I was minding my own business crossing the road in my village. My owners took me to a vet who conducted a new method of surgery to repair my broken pelvis, and boy, did it hurt!!! My mum built a cage in the kitchen, where I had everything I could wish for - not that I wanted to do much for the first few weeks!
I'm glad you are being looked after - I could send you some tips to while away the boredom if you like, when you feel slightly better! best wishes in your recovery - Garfield (13years and still going strong!)
Hi Frank. Hope you make a speedy recovery. I'm sure the guys there will be loking after you really well. At least you don't have to wear a dumb Elizabethan Collar like
my vet made me wear once!!!
Hey Frankie! You should know better than to be chased by big, nasty cars. Hope you're back on your paws terrorising the wildlife soon. Got to go - we don't want our owners to know we can use their computer.....Samson & Tigerlily http://www.arktos.co.uk/photo.htm
Dear Frank, hope you're enjoying the rest and sleep, I had to go to the vets last
week for a check-up and was very scared - do you have ant advice for dealing with scary vets?? Sweet dreams, love and hugs, Millie
I hope you get better soon and don't get too bored in your cage.
GET WELL SOON FRANK. REMEMBER YOU`RE A CAT NOT A PRISONER. FROM NORTHFLEETS INSTRUMENT SHOP, (STEVE, CHRIS & JOHN)
Hi Frank!! I hope you are feeling much better today! My name is Troe...well, Schneetraume actually! Is a german name, means dream of snow, and my human friend (Rosa) gave it to me coz she I look sooo confy and happy when I sleep (she loves snow!). I am a Battersea cat, but I moved in with Rosa more than 2 years ago ...
I like it there, plenty of squirrels to chase!...maybe next time you are in London you could come over..I'll invite all my other cat friends and we'll have a chase-party!.
It is really nasty what happend to you, and I am really concerned, so I keep on checking on your cat-cams and following up the news on your recovery. Maybe, if I could convince Rosa of buying my own cat-am you could see other cats the same way we see you! Wouldnt that be fun!! Well... I think I have to go sleep now ... and eat ...uhhhmmm.. which order though?? bye for now ...i'll write more later! Troe and Rosa
Good Morning, Frank, I see 1061 people are watching you this morning. :) I noticed you appear to have a collar on. Aren't you afraid of catching it on the cage wire when you headbutt and rub the cage wire? I'm worried you may hook yourself and choke. Mention it to your folks. Tell them it ruffles your fur, and is uncomfortable to curl up with, and you can't escape outside anyway. I saw your cute mouse toy yesterday. Must be fun to attack. Your friend Karen, owned by Adam the maine coon cat
Hit by a car? What are you like? Be more careful Mad-Boy! You've only got eight left. My humans tell me off if I cross the road too. I don't take any notice either though! Get fit quick! Scout X
Frank, you're fortunate to have such wonderful care and such good people to care for you. Greetings from Topeka, Kansas, Frank. We love our cats here, too! Get well because I'll be checking in on you from time to time. Anne
I can't believe it, there are 1256 people watching you just now! Thats the most I have ever seen. Word must still be spreading. Your sites going a bit slow though. Morgan and I hope you get well soon! A.
Frank appears on the BBC's website today: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_1866000/1866406.stm Do you know at this moment in time (2.07pm) you have 1204 watching! Is that a record? I hope all this fame isn't going to your head Frank! Take care xxxx
Hoping you will soon be 100%. You are a very lovely, brave and courageous boy. Lots of love Diana xx Plus love and purrs from my 3 felines Tiger, Jack and Jill
Dear Frank, I do hope that you continue recovering nicely. I have had a few health troubles myself and know that it is not nice being a sick kitty. Thank goodness for our
wonderful companion humans who help us get better. Yours should be particularly praised for a job well done. Lots of love and get well soon! Love your friend,
Wiggle from Toronto, Canada

Hello Frank, i've never really sent an email to a cat before.......but then again not many cats have their own website, you should consider a career in i.t.!
Hi Frank! You're a real cutie! Hello from our cats, Roope and Aku. They wish all the best for you!
Hi Frank Very sad to hear about your accident, but glad you're getting better. It must be boring for you being stuck in a cage all day but then I guess you're being pampered and get to sleep lots- and it seems like you can get up to all sorts of mischief without being told off - wish my Mum would let me do that! Keep getting better!
Lots of love Tia
Mieow Frank, Mieow, miooow miau. Maaauu mioeeew miiew, miu! Purrrrrrr mieow miuu mew. And for your human owner's benefit, hello, I just wanted to tell you that the BBC too has mentioned your cat Frank, and this is the URL: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_1866000/1866406.stm :) Mieeeeeoooow! Vlad.
Hey Frank, Here's a little message for you : you are on the news site in belgium (www.planetinternet.be) Sorry to hear about your accident - hope you wil feel much better real soon !!! from a cat friend
Dear Frank, I just read about your unfortunate accident on the BBC news today. My cat Ali was hit by a car about five years ago and had similar injuries to yours- she is now climbing fences and back in fighting shape, so keep your fuzzy chin up, you will heal and be well again with patience. Tuna seemed to help and plenty of catnip, be sure to mention these to your Dad. :) Regarding Ali: I have to give her glucosamine daily and cortisone shots every six weeks 'cause she didn't heal perfectly and experiences some pain, so you might mention to your Dad that these options are out there for you if things don't heal up correctly. She has also tried acupuncture, which worked well to stop the pain but was nerve-wracking for both her and myself due to the amount of traffic we had to negotiate to get to the acupuncturist. It didn't end up being a good-enought trade off. Well, I'm glad to see you're being well cared for and that you have so many visitors, I realize it must be boring as sin for you locked in that cage, but stick it out and you'll be back in the swing of things before you know it. I'll send you good kitty thoughts, wishes of speedy healing, and love- Jessica
Get well soon Franky............eight lives left so take care........
dear Frank, please get well. with love, mayela PS: I'd like to learn more about petcams.
Hope you recover quickly and can go for a 'careful' stroll soon.In the mean-time enjoy many naps, it is very calming to peek in on you during the day

get well soon frank, we're all thinking about you.
Dear Frank, Thought you might like a get well card from Canada. Hope you are feeling a bit tetter today, make sure you muss up the cage a bit to keep your family on their toes. I would like to send get well wishes from myself, and my cat Bean. Bean knows exactly how you are feeling, as he had an accedent a few years back similar to yours. It left him without one front leg, and like you, he was helped by some kind strangers, who we are all thankful for. ANd like you, he did take to kindly to the stitches, and pulled them out. This problem was solved by putting him in his own sweater (with one leg sealed up). He looked quite sharp in a red turtle neck. The sweater was used to be worn by an African cat we had years before, who did not like Canadian winter. Well, I am running on a bit, and you must need rest, so best wishes for a fast recovery.
Kim and Bean
This is an excellent application of broadband technology. I have been thinking about doing this in conjunction with a cattery so the owners can look in on theor pets. However, with the hapless state of broadband in the UK, it will be years before this ever happens.Cheers!
Hi Frank, I hope your owners are getting a discount on your vets bills for you being exploited like this. Get well soon. xxxx
Get better soon my little fury friend. I do not have a cat but you are the nearest to it!!
Frank is now on the national news website! i have seen an article on www.news.bbc.co.uk about Frank and his online recovery. Great news that the word is spreading and so many people are now visiting the site. Keep up the good progress! Hope he gets back to his old self soon! Meliss Butler
Dear Frank, I sure hope you get better. I'm thinking (and watching!) you. Laura
David, why so long without an update?....it's not like we can rely on Frank to move! I am concerned; I realise no news is good news but keep the public informed. From a very worried Quinn -x-
Please can you warn my cat about the dangers of cars. He thinks that if he sits in the road and stares at them they will stop. Hope that you can go bird catching soon.
Hello. I have the BBC news ticker on, whilst at work, and you are one of the top stories headlined on it. Say 'hi' to Frankie for me, and best wishes from my two pussy cats (Rupert and Heathcliffe). xx
Dear Frank-just saw a piece about you on the BBC's web site. I hope you get well soon. You are exactly the reason that our two cats never leave the house (we live near a busy freeway).p.s. our rotten cats, Molly and Lucy (also known as the shittens) say hi.
Get well soon Frank!! We have two cats, Bodie & Ottie. Bodie got hit by a motorbike afew years ago but is fine now, fat and happy! Our cats sometimes like watching football on TV or listening to music. Bodie likes lots of bands but hates "Placebo". Bye for now C & S ( B & O)
Hello Frank ! Hope you're feeling better. My pusscat Oscar got a fractured pelvis after a car that he was sleeping under drove off. He spend 2 months under my bed convalescing, but is now 100% again. His tail was paralysed for another month but that's fine as well, so have courage !
Dear Frank We were very sorry to hear about your accident. We hope that you get well soon and never have to visit the vets again, we dont like going and make our mum run round and round the house trying to get us into our cat boxes (we do like making her cross!!) One of our guinea pig friends just had a spell in hospital because of his teeth - and did he complain about the food when he got home!! Hope that your vet gives you lots of tasty treats. Take care and remember not to play with cars in the future - and we promise to stop trying to sleep in the middle of the road. Lots of purrs and hugs Barney & Daisy
Dear Frank You look very comfortable and cosy in your cage. I hope you are feeling better soon. Lots of love Scottie
Get well there Frank me laddie - o. Best wishes and a long and happy life to you! (get the coucil to put road humps in!)
Hello, There was an item today on the BBC News site (www.bbc.co.uk/news) - no doubt you'll be on the BBC news soon!! Hope Frank continues to get well, its strangley absorbing keeping an eye on him - especially in the office (much more interesting than work). Louise.
Frank, me and my little brother Oliver have just discovered your website (along with Mum and Dad, Peter and Jill!). We are so sorry to hear of your accident and wish you a speedy recovery. Love and Miaows, William Read ( aged 12, Ginger Tom)
WOW Frank! 1596 people are watching you right now!!! You're quite the popular kitty! I'm glad that your vet visit went well and that you're healing, but it's a bummer that you have to stay in that cage for another 4 weeks. I'll be watching you every day. :) I think my baby girl would go nuts if she had to stay stuck in a cage for so long. I know she hates it when we're on road trips. You've probably gotten used to yours though, but will definitely be ready to go free anytime! Maybe you can make another great escape. If you do, please take it easy! You want to get better! OK, I just wanted to say hi and let you know that you've got a lot of fans out there! Sending you lots of virtual pets and snuggles. CC Boston, MA
Frank: Sleep with the little angels. Get well soon so you can have more adventures ;-) Tami and Charlita
What a handsome cat you are - when you're better you should come and see me in London, love Clovis
Don't worry Frank you'll be back on your paws in no time. I was run over by a hit-and-run driver in 1990 in front of the little girl in my family when I was 18 months old and I had a broken pelvis and shoulder girdle, 3 broken paws and a smashed base-of-tail vertebra. I was a very sick kitty and everyone in the family was very upset and they all thought I was going to die. But they took me to see a very nice vet in Brussels, Dr Archimbault, he likes cats best of all animals so I was very lucky. I was very scared but he kept me for a long time and then sent me home feeling very poorly and it took a long time for me to walk properly again and I couldn't hold my tail straight up for about 3 years. But I'm OK now, my tail is beautifully straight and I hunt in my family's garden and bring back rats and water voles from the river a good couple of miles away, which they seem very pleased with before they take them away. I'm glad that's enough, otherwise I would have to bring something bigger in like a Dobermann or perhaps half a postman, I think that would present somewhat of a challenege even for me. I still have a very very VERY bad temper, especially when it rains and the humidity gets to my old broken bones. But my family love me even when I swear at them kstthstssskssthtsshthssstshth. If you want my advice, take it easy for a while and you'll see over time you'll soon be feeling bright again. Noses to you Pickle
Frank, Good work with the snoozing, get plenty of naps or you won't be rested enough to sleep tonight.Hope you feel better soon.
Good luck little Frank! You are lucky to have such a nice friend to help you.
Hi Frank We used some of our lives up too and ended up at the vets just like you. I'm Marmalade a rather large white and ginger very handsome fellow who has a penchant for falling out of tress and breaking my legs!!! I fooled the vet though, cos he put a really nice plaster of paris on which I managed to remove by the time I got home with my owners, so I ended up having it pinned. Smokey my friend says the best food is those Whiskas pouches, they are really nice and tasty. Hope you continue to make a good recovery, you will be like the Barcardi cat in no time.
Greetings from Boston, MA! We want to wish you a quick recovery! amanda and weezie
Well it is lovely to be able to see you online Frank and I hope that you are feeling better. I have been in the UK for the last 3 years and have left my muched loved cat with my parents back in Australia. Seeing your pictures via webcam help me to remember my little Loonycat and ease the burdun of the distance. Thanks so much and hope you are 100% very soon.
All the best for a speedy recovery, Frank! By the look of your progress, you'll be up and about (or maybe sleeping and eating, if most cats are anything to go by) in noHi Frank, I am not well at the moment. I have a kidney infection but I am also allergic to antibiotics so I am struggling to get better. I am going to the vets hospital in Potters Bar again so I should be sorted soon. I have to take these disgusting pills everyday - yeuk. My sister Frankie thinks they are treats - she always wants one. Hope you are better soon.Louis xx
Frank, wishing you a speedy recovery! Love from all cat lovers in Dublin Sinead xxx
Hey, Frankie, how ya doin'! Sorry to hear you got hit - d'ya know who put that sneaky hit on ya yet? Don't worry - once you are good again we are going to get them bastards. Personally I am not declawed and ready to go anytime, just send a word. Ya know what - I am even going to talk to - pssst - to the New Cat, when she wakes up that is. She is small but kinda frisky and always pissed at something, so she would be perfect. Mebby we can get a few squirrels to come along too - now that they've found the way into shed where the bird feed is they have lotsa time on their paws. They can climb, jump, and chew on just about anything - what about a TV cable or water pump, heh?! That'll show them! Anyhow, Frankie, get well soon, ya know, eat and sleep it off. And don't bite the vets too much - they sure are an irritatin' bunch but they mean well. See ya! Your cousine Murzik from the Colonies.
Hi Frank, Hope you're feeling better. I have a question: how did news of this website spread? Has it been on tv or something? And I bet the hits have really increased since it made the BBC website! One word of caution, the red cross motif on the webpage is a breach of copyright, yup, that's right. Only the British Red Cross are allowed to use it and they protect it vigorously across the world. I've worked for them, that's how I know. Maybe a green cross would be better? Anyway, hope you're back chasing mice soon. Markos Point taken, we'll sort it out
Get well soon Frank!!Best wishes, you'll be back running around and causing a stir soon!!
Hi Frank, Greetings, and I hope you get well soon. I think you are the coolest! From Mae Mae (a very pretty white Persian cat in Bahrain)
hey Frank, stay alive and cure fast, greets from a catlover from Belgium!!!
Frank, you are one furry dude. Get well soon.
Get well soon, Frank! Looking forward to seeing you up and around... Pris and Dezi send their love too (how sad am I?!) xxx
Frank, you are a sweetie! Hope you get well soon, there are loads of birds for you to chase outside! Please take it easy, i know it is boring in your cage but you'll be out soon! :-)
Weeeaaaaaay wwwwwwwhhhhh waaaaaaa meaaaaaay meeeaoooooowh (Sorry, Frank, that's the best I could transcribe.) Sigmund says Frank had to go to where it's like a corner and make the big eyes and lick at the bottom of his back, the bigger licks that also massage the pained area. Sigmund has been hit by a car, too, and now has three legs instead of four. Don't tell ME a cat doesn't understand. I said "that's right, he's not feeling well" I seem to be receiving that "a nice warm blanket helps", as people at Snuggles (comfort agency for animals in shelters) well know.--Sigmund's secretary
Check the following site: http://www.planetinternet.be/nl/vandaag/ this is the homepage of a huge internetprovider in belgium it says something like "Frank, the mouseclicknumbercannon" Greetz jochen PS: get well and better soon

Hiya frank. You look so cute and innocent sitting there in your bed, I can't resist you! Maybe when your well again you can give me a reply and we can go on a date. I'm a small feline named Toffee. People tell me I look like the cat from the Tv ads but my owner tells me I'm far more beautiful than that! Could you please give me a call when you get better and maybe we can arrange to meet?

Hello Frank -- I love you! I'm so glad you are doing well. I'm really happy to hear you are out taking walks. My sisters kitty had an accident a lot like yours and she is fine and very much in charge of everything. Anyway, Mr. Puss, sleep well, & eat well and take care of yourself. Love Helena Troy and Tatiana (known to her close friends as Kitty)
Good morning Frank We are glad you are still on the road to recoverery-it is fun talking to a cat, because I talk to mine all the time and they answer me, but they haven't learned to write yet. When you get well you can come visit us in sunny Arizona when it gets too cold and damp in England, we have alot of strange critters here- you would love the geckos- some of Eriks favorite toys. Happy trails
Wishing Frank every success with his recovery. The family cat was run over right outside the house in 2001 and unfortunately didn't survive (this happens a lot with black cats for some reason!). Great idea and always good to hear of animal lovers on the net. Any thoughts for a 2-way camera so Frank can see the countless viewers himself!? All my love & thoughts. Andrew
Dear Frank, My human was telling me and my brother Lewis about your predicament, so i am sending get well soon mews and purrs! We don't like going outside that much, preferring to hide in cupboards and look cute so we get more food (we might have tough names but we're big softies). Maybe you should try this when you get better - it's much less dangerous than crossing roads, Frank! Best wishes Lennox xxx
What a lovely page, dear Frank. My own cat has nowhere near your authoring capabilities.Best, Joe.
Frank: you seem so restless....don't worry, in a few months you'll hardly remember the cage. Be strong, kitty. To Frank's owner: please read this message aloud to Frank and give him a gentHi Frank. Glad to see you are still sleeping for 90% of the day. Me too! It's great sleeping - it's so cold out there - this morning I actually stuck my nose out! It's great to see you are handling your new found fame so well too! My slave showed me the bbc web site and there you were: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_1866000/1866406.stm Apparently you also got a report on Annanova. Take lots of naps and don't forget to eat! Fred

Get well soon Frank - I remember the same happened to my own cat when I was a lad. It's great having you on the webcam - it's like having a virtual cat!

Hi Frank, My name is Betsy and I am a Maine Coon Cat. Have you ever heard of the likes of me? My ancestors came over with the first settlers from Britain and we survived the winters, WOW! I am called Coon because I have the coloring and stripes like a racoon. I am 9 years old and love my home. My caregiver gives me delicious food - especially tuna and chicken along with Purina dry food. She gives me lots of attention because she is a widow and needs my company. During the summer time I like to roam around in the woods behind my house and catch chipmunks and mice to bring to my caretaker. At first she was not pleased but now understands me better. I hope you are surviving each day and getting your strength back. Bye, bye. Betsy Ann
Hi Frank, We have had to get our pet human to write this, as we have trouble with the keys!! We are black and white, and white and black cats living in South Wales and we would both like to wish you a speedy recovery. and, in future, WATCH OUT FOR THOSE CARS!!!!!!! Best wishes.. Fanny & Smudge
Hi Frank Have just found out all about you and had to come and see you for myself. Sorry to hear about the accident but it's good to see that you're on the mend. If you're anything like my three cats, socks, tiggs and pyschs, you'll actually be quite happy to have the opportunity to do nothing but sleep and eat, but all the same, I hope you're up and about and out of the cage soon. Love Hedge
Hi Frank, Don't worry .. .you'll be Ok .. our cat, Fenchurch, got run over and suffered a broken and detached pelvis, had to spend 6 weeks in a cage and in the end made a full recovery and now is just a big small-furry-animal-killer as ever! Good Luck ... hope the media attention doesn't go to your head! Gary Oxford.
WOW - there are 2050 people watching you! No pressure..just wake up when you're ready! Fred
Has Frank tried BBC Radio 4, very good for the bedbound.
How do you fancy a nice tortie girlfriend ?
Dear Frank, I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I too was run over by a car and had to spend 3 weeks in a cage with a dislocated hip. I had lots of trips to the Vet and cost my Mummy & Daddy a lot of money! I'm fully recovered now and can run, jump and chase birds as well as ever. All the best from Sam and my sister Pepper xxx
Dear Frank, I've only just found out about your plight and felt I immediately had to send my condolencies. I've had a horrible day looking for jobs, but seeing you up and about and obviously much improved has cheered me up no end. And I approve greatly of your escape-attempt antics. Keep up the good work!
Frank We have told Sergie that if he doesn't stop trying to go out on the road he will end up with a sore hip too but he just won't listen....any advice?? Hope you're well soon xxx
Get well soon Frank. I'm the owner of two cats and I know how you must be feeling. It's nice to see a beautiful cat live on the web and you seem to be making great progress. Lots of purrs from my cats and me.
Franky Keep it real m8, dont eat too much tuna. love Tommy
Meow Meow, purr purr meow, mew mew.
Hi FrankBeing ill sucks. I once cut my tongue when I licked a sharp knife that my Mum had been using to cut cheese. I had to have an operation and take tablets for ages. But they were tasty tablets so it wasn't all bad. My Mum looked after a cat called Simon who was poorly and he had to live in a cage in Mum's bedroom til he got better. Me and my sister Murky didn't envy him at all. Well, we laughed a bit when he came back from the vets cos they gave him a silly scarf to wear. But it was a shame for him. He's better now though and has gone to live next door which is nice cos he was homeless before that and lived by the dirty bins with the market cats. Someone dumped him because they didn't want to look after him anymore, so my Mum said. Humans can be very cruel. Me and Murky hope you get better soon fmeh Inky
Dearest Frank, First how are you, pet? You are looking quite perky. I'm sorry that Korky talks so much about himself when he mails - but that's our Korky, it's all ME, ME, ME with him. (But he's cute with it). Just heard you mentioned on Irish radio 2FM, and also I see you have a message in Irish from MacDuff. We will send you some virtual shamrock on St. Patrick's day. My son is going to send you some funny cat pictures, I hope you appreciate them!! He is the one who dumped - err, I mean gave Korky to us. He and his housemates, all students, tried unsuccessfully to hide Korky from their landlady and basically it was either he went or they went. Selfishly they opted for Korky to go. So he came home on the bus with my son, wreaking his revenge by weeing copiously on him for most of the way. Have a good evening, Love & strokes, F.
Get Well soon,I have a cat called Giro. Love from Freya XXXX
Hi Frank, I have to go to the vet on Saturday to get my jabs which I hate, but you have given me encouragement. I really hope that you get better soon. I'll be thinking of you. A big kiss from Mushka also

Yo Frank, my name's B'ugly coz I'm a Persian and my pets say I'm But Ugly. Really I'm a two year old human boy child trapped in a cats bod. Last year I was out for a walk with one of my pets when the next door's dog attacked me and badly hurt one of my leggies. I was in hospital for 4 days, where all the vets and nurses were brill - I luv them. I had a various plasters on for for nearly nine weeks and had to live in a cage in the livingroom for nearly 3 months.
So just to let you know, humans do know what they are doing and they always make you better in the end. Get well soon - B'ugly "Boo Waddley" Bartlett
Hello Frank.Hope you'll soon make a full recovery.I'll be watching your progress. Love from a cat lover and Charlie,Moley,Kitty and Trevor
come on frank and get back out there best wishes to you and get well soon
Radio Station for lazy cat types..! Enjoy http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/ It's in Austrailia though so don't know if it'll be appropriate or not? (It'll be dark and all that!)
My owner has kindly typed this for me as I can't type yet. I couldn't help noticing that this year's winner of Crufts has copied your shaved back end look with the big bobbly tail. This may be a coincidence, of course, but I suspect something more sinister is at work. We can't have dogs copying cats, can we? Or do you mind being a style setter as a by-product of your unfortunate accident.
meow, meow we know how you feel ..we are locked up in the cattery when our owners go away . The worst thing is that nasty old dirt tray, isn't it ? My name is Tim and I weigh 16lbs and its not easy to balance my bot. over one of those things !!! We hope you feel better soon and think you should listen to Wogan on radio 2 tomorrow morning
love from Topsy (7lbs) and Tim (16lbs) xxxx
Miaow Frank, Hope you are feeling better soon. Listen to John Peel on Radio 4, Sat morning at 9am for Home Truths. Radio 2 the rest of the time, especially Steve Wright who gave you a massive publicity boost by having you on Miles Mendosa's web site of the day! Purr, purr, Lisa

Dear Frank, Sorry to hear about your accident (even all the way out here in Madison, Wisconsin, news gets around). I hope you're soon feeling better -- if you wish to solicit get-well wishes from somewhat famous Americans, I'd suggest game-show host Wink Martindale (www.winkmartindale.com), who just gave me permission to name my cat after him. I'm sure he'd send a lovely message.
Hello Frank, My two furbabies, Bridget Mary and her little sister Alice Ann and I all hope you are begining to feel much better by now. What kind of music do you like to listen to? We will be happy to sing for you if you would like. If not, we can send our requests your way. Along with a big smile. Say, did they get the bad actor who ran you down? We'll be looking in on you every day now that we know you are there. Thanks to the BBC. They put us on to you. Love Mommacat and the little girls.
Hi there Frank! My brother incidentally is also called Frank! Horrible thing to happen to you mate! Last nasty accident I had was when another cat bit me on the bum. Went sceptic, had to go to the Vets twice to get it operated on and then had 3 sets of antibiotice (the first 2 sets I was allergic to - fantastic!) So I know what it's like. Still, your owners, like mine, seem to be taking care to make sure you're allright, bless them. Get better soon! Gizmo

Dear Frank, Our mom is helping send this mail to wish you well. There are 4 of us - Rocky, 9 years old, a black and white tuxedo who loves rolling in the dirt and stalking things, Lucy, a 5 year old tiger who mostly likes to eat and lounge in sun spots, Daphne, a 5 year old black beauty and Monroe, who's almost 3 and pure white with lovely blue eyes. Monroe is deaf and knows a bit of sign language and likes to ride on the hoover! Lucy & Daphne had to live in a cage at an animal shelter for a year and a half after their owner moved to a nursing home and are best friends. They got adopted 2 monthes ago and now have a nice new home with other cats and lots of room to run and play. We all live outside of New York City. We hope you are back on all four paws and able to play again soon. Cheers from your American furry friends.

Hi, I am Basil and I live with my Mum and Dad in the country near Banbury. I am a British Blue shorthair so I am a pedigree and so very snooty, in fact I usually don't talk to other cats at all, but I felt quite sorry for you being in hospital for 6 weeks. I know one week in the cattery was enough for me! So I wish you well and send a purr and wet lick. If you want I can send a photo. Luv Basil
Mischief, Molly, Oliver & Badger hope you get well soon and that you are not too bored. We suggest you listen to Radio 2 (especially Steve Wright in the afternoon which is where we heard about you). Bye for now.

Hi Frank! Looking very well there on the other side of the pond. My wife Debby went to vetrinary school and will be checking in on you periodically as well. Just what you needed someone else staring at you. . hmmm? Oh, and our Aca & Kane wish you well too.
Hi Frank! I was just told about ur site, n I had 2 come n look! I hope ure feeling better. I'm going 2 tell my friends n tell them 2 all leave u a message coz we're all cat lovers! I've just got back from school - we had a really really boring day, I nearly fell asleep...luckily my friends woke me up! Anyway, get better soon, lots of love Sarah
Suggestion for Frank's owner. When we bought our cat a ball with a bell in it the first thing he did was turn his nose up at it. However a piece of scrunched up tinfoil is much more interesting. Tuppence chases up and down the hall for ages before it gets bored.
Johnny Walker just mentioned Frank's site on his (JW's) show on BBC Radio 2 (11/3 at 6.15 p.m approx.). He read the web address out twice and told a little about it.
Hi, Frank, glad to see that you are on the mend. The things these crazy humans do to get attention, eh? At least it means you get lots of messages, which can`t be a bad thing. I had to go to the vet recently to have some teeth removed, and my lot didn`t even mention webcams, never mind set one up for me. Anyway, Spring is coming and the mice are getting fat, so good luck and best wishes from me, Lenny the cat, here in sunny Bromley.
Hey-ho, kitty! Glad to see you're on the mend - I've two cats of my own, and can't imagine what I'd do if they got hurt like you did. You have a very creative and enterprising owner, who seems to be taking very loving care of you. Hope the final stint of your recovery proceeds apace. Cheers!
hi frank, get better soon so u can get out there and catch some more mice and birds
FRANK, SO SORRY TO SEE YOU UNWELL, BUT GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE ON THE MEND. YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE RE GARDEN CAT-PROOFING. THIS WAY YOU WOULD BE SURE NOT TO GET KNOCKED OVER BY A CAR. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS. BYE FOR NOW LOTS OF LOVE AND CUDDLES ROZ - WEBSITE: WWW.PALACESFORPETS.COM

HI FRANK IT MUST BE VERY BORING STUCK IN THAT CAGE ALL DAY/NIGHT. BUT I`M SURE YOU WILL OUT AND ABOUT VERY SOON. WE ARE TWO CATS (BROTHER AND SISTER) WHO LIKE ALL THE THINGS THAT YOU DO! BUT WE ALSO LIKE BRINGING IN FROM THE GARDEN, THINGS LIKE ALMOST DEAD BIRDS THEN CHASING THEM ROUND THE KITCHEN UNTIL THEY DIE, LEAVING A MESS ALL OVER THE KITCHEN FLOOR. BY FOR NOW FRANK & GET WELL VERY SOON SMOKEY AND BANDIT

Pussy cat Boris saw you via KatKam and thinks you are a very fortunate cat to get all that love and attention. We both want you to get better really fast.
Hi there Frank, just to say we think you're a very brave puss, Pip went through it herself when she was only a kitten, and she came through - just a bit longer to wait til you're out and about again - think of the birds and mice to chase!! Lots of love Wispa and Pippin, Mirfield
Hi Frank! I hope you are feeling better. My name is Blue but the youngest human of the family calls me 'Pippy Jim'. Don't ask. I hate going to the vet. I have to go in the car and I hate cars, especially when the big, scary human, known to the humans as Dad listens to his wierd music. I don't know. I know how you feel, though. Being confined in a cage is not my ideal salmon. I mean taste. Sorry but it's near dinner and were having salmon. Do you like salmon? I love it. Sorry, am I making you jelous? I DO hope you get out of your confinement soon. I gosh I sounded really posh then didn't I? Bye then Frank! Feel better!
Dear Frank, sorry to hear of your mishap, hope you'll be feeling better soon old chap!
Dear Frank i am sorry you are poorly. I was a stray puppy and got knocked over by a human's motorcar. The man who knocked me over stopped to rescue me. He took me back to the badman who owned me - he didn't want me. So, the nice man in the motorcar became my new Daddy. He took me straight to the vets where they gave me lots of love and attention and told my daddy I had a very badly bruised paw. Don't be frightened of the vets will you, they want to help to make you better again.
I hope you are better soon, but I will keep asking my mummy and daddy to let me tune in to keep an eye on your progress. Get Well Soon Lots of wags and licks
Shelley the Poocher xxxx
Dear Frank, Make sure there is a whiff of lavender nearby. This will make you feel nice and you'll get better quicker! If you can get hold of a copy of Clare Wilde's `Natural Healing for Animals' that might also help. Best wishes from Scotland.

Dear Frank, Heard about you on Radio 2. What a shame. We are 5 siamese cats who live 'ere! Our mom looks after us quite well. We eat a lot and fill up the litter trays to our hearts content! Somebody else empties them!!!!! Sounds a bit like you at the moment. We hate those cars, won't even go in them to get our boosters, and whenSHE forces us into our cat boxes, we yell like hell! Once had an enquiry as to whether SHE was ill-treating children! You know what siamese sound like? Squiggy says she was once in hospital, in a cage and felt like she was dying! Our Mom visited every day. Did Squigg the world of good. Anyway, she came home in the end- not quite as good as new, but cheeky as ever. A few weeks later, she had 5 kittens. No, it wasn't the Vet!!! But Jasper. Errol is the mad son of that mating. Lots of love, The Bonamy Siamesexxxxxx
Frank! Woof! I know I'm not your kind, and I bark at every feline friend that passes, but I have a certain amount of sympathy for you since the vet took out all my front teeth 6 months ago!! i know he was only trying to help, but it means that I can't bite cats any more, so you're safe (until I get my new false gnashers.......) All the Best, Nos Da, Lucky the 13-year-old Welsh Jack Russell xxx
Dear Frank I think you should listen to Galaxy 102 because the music is really up to date

Hi Frank, Given the amount of prime time national coverage you've recieved today I think your choice for tomorrow - and probably the rest of the week - should really be Radio 2. Get well soon Frank. We hope that like us you are insured. Have a kipper on us.
Heeeey, Frank. Never seen you move yet, until today, you look really well. So, you are being made to listen to all these kinds of music, which do you prefer? I'm into MTV with my teenage family,Limp Bizkit, Blink 182 etc but living with 2 ex punks for parents is a bit scary, they pump the music up when the kids go out!

Hi cutie hop you get better soon
To Frank Don't despair my furry feline friend. I once had my tonsils removed & despite experiencing great pain whilst eating dry toast I made a complete recovery. It's amazing how much time is a great healer.

I think I shall send your url to my friend in Sydney so you're going totally international. What a star. Get well soon, and remember no jumping. Tricia x

Dear Frank, I hope your recovery is going well, I'm very sorry to hear about your accident. I have 4 cats living with me, the oldest will be 20 in June. You might want to suggest, when you're fully recovered, that you become an indoor cat only. You'll live a great deal longer. Ciao.
Next time Frank look both ways and always remember your green cross code

Hello Frank. I'm Angus and a much loved pampered cat too. I was hit by a car not so long ago but I was lucky - just some damage to my back paw. I had to stay home though for a couple of days which I didn't like much as I'm very sociable. My sister, Urchin, and I send you our love and we wish you a rapid recovery as do our pets, Karen and Bob. Much love to you.
Hi Frank, Good to see you are recovering from your terrible ordeal. I'm glad that you are being looked after well. I only heard about your plight today (as I live in the USA with my mum), but will continue to watch your progress from now on. All the best, licks and kisses, Tom (& Joanne) xx

I too was a little squashed towards the end of last year, but luckily my mum & dad had the sense to move to rural Lincolnshire, Suggest it to yours. Please get well soon, we are all thinking about you in Fulbeck. xxxxx
Caro Frank, nós, aqui de São Paulo, Brasil, desejamos a vc uma ótima recuperação. Quando vc melhorar, venha nos visitar, teremos prazer em conhecê-lo. Um abraço e estimadas melhoras
Dear Frank I too was badly hit by a car last year and my pelvis was pushed 1" up my body and fractured in many places! I also have a pin and was cage confined for a month so I know how you are feeling. But don't worry you'll be up and about before you know it. Top tip : Prawns help make a speedier recovery! Take care Mog
Youch Frank!!!! I know exactly what you're going through mate - same thing happened to me on 1st December 2000. I spent a couple of months in the slammer (cage) as well. Had the first op to put my pelvis back together and reattach it to the spine, and second op in April 2001 to sort out a dislocated knee as by then I was running around on 3 legs. Now, apart from a white stripe where my fur grew back white (I'm ginger by the way) a bald patch on my tail and a slightly wonky a*se I'm good as new - hang in there.... they let you out of the cage eventually!! And remember to make them feed you tuna - might as well make the most of it... Jake XX
PS Perhaps we should start a support group!
Hi Frank, I know what it's like to be mending cos my owners knackered me recently. Get well soon from a little border collie way down in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Dear Frank, Sorry you're feeling a bit under the weather. I hope you feel better soon. But take heart - it doesn't look like you have a weight problem.
A visitor to our house today commented on Archie, our rather large male cat: "What a lovely girl - is she pregnant?" I thought that might cheer you up.
Dear Frank, I was sorry to hear about your injuries, but happy to see all the love and support you're getting during your recovery. You are such a cute little kitty cat. Get well soon, ok? -- Robin

Our Mum is a stupid human - she sent our names with no message! Get well soon, Frank, the weather is getting better and it's time to think about lazing in the sun & climbing trees & chasing bumble bees! Mogs had a disagreement with a car a few years ago, luckily only broke a ligament in her front leg. 6 weeks of haveing the plaster changed weekly under anisthetic and then she paced herself, gradually doing a bit more every day. Soon she was back to her normal self. We'll look in to see you tomorrow, Meeeow Mogs & Mattilda
My brother Montgomery and my half-sister Tasha got hit by cars. They used up all their lives. Hang on in there and go the other way next time. Be well and never tell them your real name - no matter how much it hurts. MMMM
Dear Frank, I hope that you'll be feeling better soon! I never seem to be able to catch you awake but I'll keep trying! You must be very tired out from all of the attention you're getting - poor boy - have to be careful around those cars they can't always see you! Get well soon, I'll check on you later! Love From, Robin :)
Hope you get well soon, Frankie darling. I'm going to be a vet when I grow up so I might see your descendents. So get better soon and have some. Meanwhile, see if you can get a message played on on TWC-FM, the new radio station in the Vale of Belvior, due back on air in April! Bye for now, love Cor xxx

Hello Frank I'm Tiggy, age 13 1/4 and I've been run over twice! I hope you are feeling better and recovering well. The first time it happened I broke my thigh and I was supposed to be confined to a cage for a few weeks. The problem was, the cage wouldn't fit in Mummy's car, so she had to make one. I got out! I was generally a good boy until I felt a bit better and got out of the house, still with the pin sticking out of my leg. A fine dance I led her over 5 foot garden walls, bramble thickets and compost heaps!
No lasting damage though. I broke my toe the second time. Please Frank DON'DO IT AGAIN! All best wishes from Tiggy (AKA the big tigs), Muffin and their humans.
I was very sorry to hear of your accident Frank. I hope you get better very quickly and soon you will be up and running about as normal. Bringing home plenty of presents for your mum and dad. I will keep looking in on you to make sure you are getting better. Love Twiggy

Hi ya frank we are too very silly cats who live in a house and don't get to go outside i hope you get better soon. remember the key to a happy life is lots of rolled up sweety wrappers. We love these our owners don't like it when we spurn our expensive cat toys for them but we don't mind. You should treat your owners, when you are better, to your purring in their face in the middle of the night. We guarantee to you that they will be eternally grateful......
Boffolomey Buckley Wilma Elizabeth Buckley
Hello Frank hope you get well soon and can enjoy life to the full, in the mean time listen to radio 2 with me :o) be good and take more care next time you cross the road. Nite m8 ....Xbot.

Hello old boy - you look and sound like you are making a good recovery. Just remember not to jump about too much and set back the recovery process! I'd make the most of some lovely sleep time, and get back to the old hunting routine in a few weeks when the evenings get lighter. Do you prefer mice or birds? Wireless, xx
i love cats eh so i think frank the cat would love forth 1

Meows and purrs and get bettererererer hopes from Chattycat xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Frank, I heard about your plight on the Steve Wright Show this afternoon. Looking at your webcam you seem a lot perkier than I expected. I am an 8 year old tabby from Skegness, so far I have been much lucker than my mums other 4 cats, who have all come to a sticky end under the wheels of cars (they were all burmese, so we'll say no more). I am only half burmese, so I have more sense than to go sitting in the middle of the road. I like to listen to Sara Cox on Radio 1's breakfast show. I'm going to send her an e mail now and get her to play you a song. Take care, I shall keep looking in on you. Oskar Moore
Good night my sweet Frank Igot to go now watching you for so long and now you sleep so I go too. Hope you was pain free and I wish that your day get well tomorrow. I will see you soon I get from work. Much hugs and kisses Irene/Germany
Dear Frank Hope you are soon feeling better. We know what it is like to be confined to a cage. I (Max) had a fight with a Springer Spaniel as a young cat and had a plaster cast on a back leg for four weeks. I had to have three operations to make my leg better. I still bear the scars, and the cold weather makes me limp a bit. But I really am fine now. Sapphie and I are chocolate point Siamese cats who are very good at getting into trouble with our humans, but they love us all the same. Get Well soon Hope you are getting loads of treats during your confinement love from Sapphie and Max XXX
Frank, I was listening to Radio 2 over the internet and heard about your accident. Glad to hear and see you are making a wonderful recovery. What is amazing is that at this moment 711 people have nothing better to do than watch you sleep! I need to get a life. Best wishes from Bedford, Virginia, USA
Why can't Frank go home to get better? Why does he have to stay in that cage.
I'm feeling sad today as my 16 year old cat Kikken has just died, I will really miss him. Best Wishes Frank, get well soon and plan your escape!!!
Dear Frank, I am so sorry to hear about your terrible accident and hope that you recover very quickly. Obviously a lot of other people care deeply for your welfare as we can not download the pictures from your webcam. Yours careingly Sarah XxX
My sister sent me a news bit about you, Frank, and I just wanted to add my warm wishes to you for a good recovery. I work at an animal hospital and found you site very interesting and informative. I am sorry that the surgery wasn't a success, but you are showing just how tough you furry little guys can be sometimes! I am happy that a kind person found you at last so that you could be seen by your doctor and helped. I do hope you will take this as a valuable lesson and please be happy with being an INDOOR kitty where you will be so much safer. Good luck to you, Frank! Linda
Hi Frank - hope you get better soon. We sleep most of the time too, but sometimes we catch mice and squirrels. Best wishes from "The Hersham Boys" - Basil, Dylan and Gizmo, and our humans Steve and Linda
Hi, I'm Hamish a labrador. I'm very frightened of the vet and refuse to visit him. I sit in the carpark and won't budge even if tasty treats are offered.
Sounds like they have worked wonders on you though. Hope your folks have got pet insurance as these vet people don't come cheap. If I see you around when you're fixed, I'll chase you up a tree to test out their handy work. Keep purring Hamish xxxxxx
