Messages to Frank - 28th Feb

I heard you liked redheads so I asked my human to send you this, hope you make a purrfect recovery. Love and cuddles, Clementine.Blimey you look just like our old cat George.....

Dear Frank, We are so sorry to hear of your accident, and we are glad that your family is taking such good care of you. We live on a busy road, so our mom won't let us out, no matter how much we fuss. After seeing your xrays I think we will stop fussing and be glad to stay inside. I see we share some of the same hobbies. When we aren't on the computer with our mom we too like to eat, sleep, and then eat some more. We especially like Meow Mix; we have never tried Whiskas. Hope you are up and about soon, and watch out when crossing the road. your fellow felines, Abigail & Annebelle

Hi Frank, Just to let you know that you're being watched even in Belgium. We have a cat ourselves (Julie). She hasn't had any accidents, and we hope it will stay that way. Up untill a few years ago, we had two cats. The second one (Tommie) got run over by a car just like you did, right in front of our house. Unfortunately, he wasn't as lucky as you were, cause he didn't survive. Good luck to you and your folks. Peter Thanks Peter, we have been amazed at the amount of messages (all good of course) we have had from Belgium, thankyou

About 4 years ago I too was hit by a car and it didn't stop. My Mama was very scared and so was I. I dislocated my hip and fractured my pelvis but I'm fine now, although I hobble a bit. If a chubby little dachshund/chihuahua like me can make it, so can you! Chin up and best wishes from me and my cousins Tigger and Winnie (the cats).

Daer Frank. I hope you are feeling a bit better. We have been hunting like mad but our mum won,t parcel up the mousies to send to you. She is very mean sometimes. There is nothing like a fresh plump mousie or two to heal wounds. Felix (aka little pea) is still a baby and doesn,t know about the rules here and he caught a birdie (shock horror) this morning. Twas a sparrow. Our mum went ballistic as she always does when birdies are caught. Felix was called some very naughty names and had his bum smacked. We all ran as soon as he came in with it and watched from the window sill. Peggy-sue laughed at it cos he keeps jumping on her. Mummy says she will put a stop to *that* nonsense. She says he will have something chopped off by uncle vet. Dunno what that means but peggy-sue says she will be glad she doesn,t have to keep boxing his ears for jumping on her. ho well, I am tired after all this typing so I will have a little snack and got back to bed under the heat lamp.I think I hid a bit of mousie bum under my blanket in case I was peckish, I hope felix hasn,t found it. If he has I will have to sing loudly at the fridge door so mummy comes running to give me a bit of cheese. Yum. Hmm, singing for cheese, sounds good, whenever I make a noise they pretend they don't understand me, give me a pat on the head and then go away, stupid people

Hi Frank, Glad to hear you are feeling better. I am a big cat lover over here across the waters in California, USA. I am very glad to know there are some kind people out there like the one's that helped you out after that hit and run jerk did what he/she did to you. I also know your owner is a wonderful person to do all this just for you. Give him a lick and a purrr for me. Take care my furry feline friend. Robin

Hi a message from Alfie the Essex Boy mental cat (only 6months Old), wishing Frank a speedy recovery, a good tip that prawns are a particular favourite of mine along with mange tout (although are not to every cats taste). Get well soon, you are a very loved cat. From my owner Claire & Alfie Alfie, good name...

Dearest Frank....Please don't take this the wrong way,but...I think you should be taught to look both ways before you cross the road. I have heard of chickens who are capable of this task...so why not you? I do wish you a speedy recovery.... Most Sincerely, Mrs. Bain Looking one way would be a start.....

Great web site!! We are the feline brigade of a Veterinary practice in Cheshire ( Rose Cottage Veterinary Centre ), and Jane one of our nurses (cat friendly owner in a big way), alerted us to your site. While being great fun, it also should help people who debate about the merits of such protracted therapy to heal a fractured pelvis. It is all too common an injury in cats, as your sites messages demonstrate, but in the majority of cases the outcome is good. Sometimes our homosapien owners take the easy option to not give us felines a chance. As most of the vets and nurses at Rose Cottage are owned by us cats, I ( Rob Roy) convinced my owner Ken (one of the vets) to write to Frank on our behalf. Genuine best wishes to Frank, and we have added a mention of this site on our news section in our web site, www.rosecottagevetcentre.co.ukBest wishes from Felines at Rose Cottage Veterinary Centre Yes it is a drag, I'll look at your website to brighten my day

Dear fellow mog, we are two expats kitties now living in N.Ireland. We wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery. We've both been in hospital before so we feel for you. You'll be back on all four paws in no time. - Vestan + Pance from Rostrevor.

XFM Really? I did listen to them one day last week..., ok maybe tomorrow but you'd better get me lots of requests played, I have a whole program dedicated to me this morning on www.wxdu.org this morning

We recommend Heart Fm from Birmingham - its quite good music and fun - you can also enjoy hearing about all those 4 wheeled monsters stuck in queues not going anywhere. Yes Heart did give us a mention ages ago, I'll tune in on Friday

dear frank i hope you cet well soon xxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning, Frank! It's 1:40 AM here in Texas but I think it's about 7:40 AM there. We watched you wake up, eat your breakfast and then groom yourself. It's good to see you looking so perky! I put a link to your cam on my site. Have a good day! Joy Butler Editor, Extraordinary Animals click here. Thanks Joy

I'm sure Frank is being taken care of very well and eventually he will fully recover ! What a lucky cat ! To the owners of Frank : a great site ! And, moreover congratulations on showing us how pets should really be treated, and not just disposed of, as so many others do ! Keep up the good work, and get well soon Frank ! Vinciane

Rosie (our 3 year old daughter) seems to think that Playhouse Disney is to blame for Frank's predicament. Can't work out why but we all wish him well (I think Rosie thinks that Frank should watch Playhouse Disney to make him better). Get well soon, Frank! Rosie and Daddy and Mummy Yes blame Disney, they were driving the playhouse!

My two cats (Oreo and Mars) and I hope Frank gets better soon. Since I can't pet Frank, I 'll just pet my kitties a little extra for him :)

Hello Frank - my name is Sophie and I am new here - I arrived on Friday and everyone seems very kind. They have a lovely fireplace although she seemed a bit worried that I tried to climb up the chimney then walked all over their new cream carpet in my sooty paws. Food's good, and I love the computer. You seem a very handsome chap, I hope you get well soon - make them feed you all your favourites! love and best wishes from Sophie and Mary

The station I listen to is 99.5 WYGO in Sweetwater, TN, but they are broadast all over the US. Their web site is besthitsbestvariety.com.... Why not contact them there??? I'm sure they will play a song for Frank!

Hello again Frank! I wrote to you yesterday. I send my love to you. From NISSE in Sweden (you know the Forest cat). My family wish you all the best. See you again!

Dear Frank Our Mum showed us your pictures on her laptop and we asked her to send you our purrs to wish you a speedy recovery. One of our cousins (he lives with mum's sister) was very badly hurt by some cruel people before he came to live with her. They think he was swung into a wall and kicked around. He had very severe spinal injuries and was brain damaged. It took many months for him to recover, but he's very happy now, although he can be a little slow on the uptake! We hope that the sad human driving the petrol powered killing machine didn't realise that you'd been hit. Most humans are kind and helpful, despite our cousin's experience and wouldn't do anything to deliberately hurt their feline friends. Try not to get too bored with the bedrest, it is for the best, and just think of the havoc you can wreak once you're back your feet again. Love Rowan, Nadia and Liam xxx PS: Vomited spider remains on the pillows are well received, our mum was very vocal about it!

My best wishes to You and I hope You will soon be "back in business". Take care! Anders

Hi Frank, Also in Sweden we are watching you. Hope you get well soon. I know and we are grateful (and I was taken to the Vet's at high speed in a Saab Turbo, so we like all things Swedish!

we wish frank all the best ! kisses from belgium

Hi Frank - Kesier and Fatty here in Australia. We were really sad to here about your accident but are so pleased that you are now on the mend. We log in everyday to check that you are okay. We are 13 year old brother and sister and our slaves don't allow us to leave the house anymore unless they are nearby. Hope that you are up and about very soon.

Hi Frank, Amy McNally wishes you well, take care of your self hunnybun! Get well soon. xxxx

Hi Frank, Are your slaves feeding you enough? Our Human keeps us on short measures - some rubbish about being over weight...If you could tell us when you are fed, maybe we could pop round and keep you company..... if you get the drift. Whisker (a)s up. BTW we prefer felix in jelly......Barney, Pebbles, Tigger and Lucy xxxxx

Found a link to the site in the "Computing" magazine - got a "Virtual Champers Award" Cool, can you send in the link?

Dear Frank I'm thinking of all the time and hoping that you are not in too much pain. My mum tells me about your progress when she comes home from work each day. I'm an elderly, extremely wise cat, and know that things will get better for you. In no time at all you will be running around enjoying life once again. My mum used to be a veterinary nurse and saw many cats in you predicament. In fact while she was working for the vets a notice appeared on the board looking for homes for a litter of kittens. When she saw our picture she just couldn't resist us (that's me and my brother Chivers). Chivers unfortunately was very ill 5 years ago and died. We all miss him so much. Anyway Spring is coming and we will soon be able to go out and enjoy the warm sunshine - I haven't been out since November as it's been much too cold for an old lady. Maybe I'll go out in April. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you Frank.

Good Morning Frank, I must say you do look more comfortable than what you have been looking, you were sitting earlier with your front paws tucked up under you and all curled up whilst you are asleep. Which I presume indicates that you are hopefully not in so much pain as you were. I will drop~in later to see what your upto ~ Mustard, Katie and Thomas send their Love. And have a lovely restful day xxxxxxxxx

Hi Franc How are you? Strange question, well get better! And hey! I'm wathing ya! / Malin 12 years from Sweden

Hi little pussy, nice to see a cat on the Net sometime, it doesn't always have to be real pussy you know... But I am a great animal lover too, especially those 3 cats my brother has at home, Sugar, Spice and Honey (2 little tigers and a street kitten)... I wish you a quick recovery and many lifes hereafter... I am also very connected to cats, as I am a Leo, king of all cats, I like the strength of cats and their attitude very much... Hello Frank! Best wishes for a quick recovery, I guess you'd rather be outdoors waiting for spring than locked up inside an animal hospital. Here in Sweden where we live, it's a beautiful sunny winter day, only the neighbor's dogs go outside...but dogs are stupid, right? I (Maria) like it better inside my cozy warm house, and so does Signe, my cute cuddly cat. Soon she'll be all over the keyboard, so we say "bye bye" for now!

i think frank needs some red bull Do wings connect to the pelvis?

Dear Frank, Thought it might cheer u up - it certainly made me laugh - Lots of love and kittie cuddles, Vicky Caption : "THERE IS A BIRD HIDDEN SOMEWHERE IN THIS PICTURE!! hahahahaha oh my stitches!

My meow changed once I lost half my tail It was an "aai ai" now it's more of an "ai" with the occasional "WOW" thrown in for good measure. Just to show I'm still on the ball I've just checked and there is no mention of this site on the news section in www.rosecottagevetcentre.co.uk I guess the cats at Rose Cottage Veterinary Centre are not as competant at computer stuff as Frank and myself >'Y'< Yes I did notice......

Hi Frank, I am enjoying watching your progress on the webcam. Good to see you're not neglecting your grooming during your recouperation. Dear Frank I have been watching your progress over the past few days, since I saw the article in the Sunday Times and it is nice to see you moving around a bit more now. I hope the pain is not too much. Our dog, Roger was run over when he was six months old, did not sustain as many injuries as you seem to have done, but we were very worried about him, so I know that your owners will be very pleased to know that you are progressing now. I will keep tuned in and hope you get better soon. best wishes Susan

A poem for you Frank! Cupboard Love
The ginger feline sits alone and aloof,
Jealously protective of its own space
On the colourful patchwork blanket,
The squares lovingly knitted by his companion.
The elderly lady dreamily nods in her chair
Half amused, half irritated by the cat.
Suddenly Malkin rises stealthily to his feet,
Gradually insinuating his body towards his mistress.
Anguished loud miaows indicate his hunger

Interspersed with soft placating purrs.
With a resigned stroking of the sleek coat,
His owner rises to fulfil her moggy’s desire,
Fully cognizant that his sudden affection is
CUPBOARD LOVE.

I saw an article in the Scottish Mirror about Frank. It told readers that the site had attracted thousands of visitors and then gave the web address. It was featured in Tuesday 26/2/01 Scottish Mirror. This is how I came about the site and since then have a brouwser open everyday with Frank, and I can watch whilst I work! Regards, Elaine Cheers, I'll try and dig out a link

Hi Frank. It's Juliet from Boston, MA again and my human told me how you seemed to be moving around nicely yesterday. She also saw you getting petted. Maybe she just happened to catch you at your active times yesterday. I know I love sleeping so I don't blame you at all for wanting to sleep, especially after all you've been through. Here's a quote by Joseph Wood Krutch: "Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many ailments, but I never heard of one who suffered from insomnia." So true, eh? Sending you many virtual licks and nuzzles from me, and rubs, scratches, and kisses from my human. - Juliet & her human

Hello Frank Get well soon. Just to let you know you were mentioned in Computing Magazine for the week 22/02 - 28/02 under Unplugged. Your site was awarded The Virtual Champers Award. Congrats on that and hope you're un and about sleeping in other parts of your house. Rob

Hi Frank, Why don't you persuade your human servants to try and get Whiskas to sponsor the website (I'm sure they would, all the hits you're getting and the occasional mention of them!) and then give all the sponsorship money to animal welfare charities? Anyway, glad to see you looking so much better! Pete p.s. could you roll over onto your back and show us all your fluffy belly to the new web cam? Cheers!

Hi Frank. Hope you're feeling ok. My name's Atticus. I'm a lovely grey girly cat with big paws. Greetings from my Special Cushion in Sydney, Australia! My slave told me about your accident and I am just writing to say ... hang in there. I am a girl and my name is Spotty (and quite pretty, actually). I am a nearly 15 year old Torty and tend to sleep a lot these days, but each day I have a little peek out of one eye, to see if you are ok. Keep your tail, up Frank - you will be feeling well in no time! I have nearly died thrice: first from an awful flu; second after being brutally attacked by an oafish thug tom from up the road (I probably shouldn't say this Frank as it is not purrlitically correct, but he got flattened by a four wheel drive one night and ... well ... just desserts and all that); and finally I stepped in something caustic and lost all the fur on my feet and burnt the inside of my mouth something dreadful.. anyway, sorry to blather on ... the point of this to to say G'day to you and send you some cyber kisses (you are a bit of a spunk). Did you know Australia is hosting the Winter Olympics in 2010? It's true ... at Smiggins Holes - bring your skis!! See you there, love Spotty xxxxxooooxxxx Blimey, burnt feet, ouch

Glad to see that you are on the way to being out and about again.

Hey Frank, I'm a Frank too . . . Geez, what they don't come up with for cutesy names, huh? (Frankenstein . . . frankincense . . . frankly, my dear . . . I get that one all the time and the boss still thinks it's funny . . .) Anyway I just want to say, chin up, the worst has got to be over. I don't get to go outside much but after seeing what goes on out there from the living room window, I don't think I want to. My big sis Squeaks sends her love and best wishes, along with the boss's, and mine -- Frankie (Florida, US) thanks Frankoid :-)

Hi there bro., The One who Adores Me is in a bit of a huff as her message of last night wasnt posted. But its her own fault, not content with letting me write to you, she had to go and write to your Manager. Said she felt "sorry" for him whatever that means, its not in my cat dictionary or thesaurus. Also she thought that she'd offended him by writing "knackered" even tho it only means gone to the human who makes glue out of horses' bones (sorry to all the horses reading). And she said there's much ruder words like bastard and tart, not to mention a synonym for cat, on your site. So I'm taking over again tonight, it's something to do as her old fella won't let me near the bed & she's out again. They've had so many cats, its scary the ends they've come to. I've heard it all, I could write a book. Why doesn't yer man publish all your stuff when you're uncaged, it seems to tickle the humans as I often hear herself sniggering and chortling when she's on your site. (I have other ways of getting my tickles) Then he could send some proceeds to that nice place where you got them, when he's paid the vet's bills. Anyway, Frankie, you're lookin' good today, & god knows, when you read some of the other stuff, you must feel you got off lightly. Wait til herself can't resist telling you what befell some of my predecessors. I tell you, it's scary. Talk to you soon, bro, love Korky P.S. Herself has put the sons on to you now, Lord but she's a sad case! Sorry mate, I know he replied to a few which were not posted, we do try to post or answer everything but with over 200 messages a day we do lose the odd one through stupidity, very sorry

Hi Frank -get well soon. Luv from us three moggies and Pauline our dinner lady. Hmmmm dinner

Dear Frank, we all hope you are doing well and feeling better and that your owners are also recovering from the trauma and worry that can go with loving and caring for a precious mog. Wishing you all the best, Vic, Chris, Hugo, Jake, Chloe and Daisy (four cats in there somewhere). No there is only me, unless you mean my imaginary friends...

Hey Frankie, Herself has gone for a kip & I sneaked in to say - would you geddaloadof some of the cat names. I mean, talk about poncy!! Frank, well, I mean, what's wrong with that, any self-respecting mog could introduce himself with that, and as for me, well, see Dandy, circa 1947. Nuff said. Night bro. Korky. Night Korky

Hi Frank you are looking good on the 'cam. keep up the good work

Sleep well Frank :) I'll second that

Go for it Frank! (Owner of 2 cats, called Toulouse and Amadeus)

g'day Frank! My name is Tiffany, i live in Adelaide, Australia and heard about you on Life FM. Its great to see you doing so well, you're a major dude! I have 4 cats of my own, thay're lovely just like you. I hope that you continue to recover quickly.

Get well real soon! We hope you're not bored? Can you watch the birds in the garden? Can you enjoy some (rare British?) sunshine in your cage? We, Belgian cats, all love sleeping in the sun (if we get the chance between showers!) and looking at the birds! Of course it might be tempting and frustrating to see them and not being able to chase them down... A television tuned on National Geographic might be an alternative if there isn't a garden around! Some soccer match is nice too! We usually eat Whiskas but none of us like the varieties with chicken. Do you? However we do like fresh chicken: raw, boiled, baked, stolen... Our humans are going to sleep now and so are we (it's raining again), except big tomcat Mops: he's got a few more pussycats to cuddle tonight! Sus and Charlie don't understand what's so nice about that! Anyway, have a goodnight, sleep tight and pleasant dreams!

get well soon frank !!!!!!! good night x Night, night

Our Teddy bear likes watching Frank, we can hardly get to the computer ourselves. After watching Frank for a couple of days he decided to send in some support. Go Frankie Go. We can’t say it any better:-) -

Franks, Sorry, kid, re last message, substitute "eejit" for "manager". Catch my drift, she doesn't hear me right sometimes. Night kid, dig the guy with the bare arm. K. night, night
