Messages to Frank - 25th Feb

Frank, Our dog Lilly, while not being of the same species, still sends her best for a speedy and full recovery. Your friends from Monte Nido, California

Cheers to Frank! We are just a group of laid back Oklahoma cats, and most of us have watched your progress when our slave will move over and let us see the monitor. Our slave and her husband have been to England, Shrewsbury mostly since he was working at the Shawbury RAF base on a helicopter simulator. They took a lot of pictures, but nothing interesting to us, like English cats, birds ect. Hope you are getting better every day and able to keep your fur nice and tidy. Regards, The Price Cats.

Dear Frank, The Ayers family from all the way in Seattle WA hope you are feeling your friskies soon! Dante and Chloe are our 2 1/2 year old twin Main Coons. We rescued them from a cat shelter here in Washington and we couldn't imagine our lives with out them! Your owner is one very special human to have such a brave and wonderful kitty such as yourself! We hope who ever thoes wonderful people who stopped and helped you get home let them selves be known. They deserve a medal at the very least. best wishes and a speedy recovery from Chloe and Dante Seattle WA

Hello Frank, So sad to hear about your ordeal. Our human tells us you are getting better and for that we are thankful. Please, please, please look both ways before crossing the street again. Love and snuggles, Silk and Merlot, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada

My Dearest Frank, My name is Montana Alabama and i too met the ill fates of the demon rubber tyres coming into contact with my precious felind body. Like you, i endured many days of pain and ws also confined to my bedroon ( similar to yours) for about 6 or so weeks. I am happy to say that I overcame my injuries and am now back on all 4 paws, a lillte more cautious of the raodways now though. Get well soon and HUGE kitty hug from Montana Alabama in newcastle, Australia

Good health and a quick recovery!

Hang on in there, Frank. We've spoken sternly to our five cats - Cleo, Charlie (female), Honey and Hazel about staying away from the road. Spike is not allowed out any more because he does listen and runs across it!

Dear Frank, I hope you'll be running about soon! Warm regards from Sally (Noordwijk, The Netherlands)

Hi Frank Just read your story and would like to wish you a speed recovery. My name is "Dave" and I am from Manchester. My mummy rescued me from a cat santuary in September. I am 8 months old and have just had the "Snip" so I know that operations can be painful. I have an adopted sister called "Earth Kit" who is 12 years old, she likes me but when mummy is around she growls because she is a bit jealous. I have attached a picture of me which my mummys friend Nicky took. My mummys name is Naomi and she listens to "Radio 1" while she is at work. Good luck Frank! Kind regards Dave the Cat email: davethecat@labform.co.uk

Lots of get well soon wishes. Frank looks exactly like my cat Tigee! Even down to the darker grey tail!

Best wishes Rich @ Wyvern (www.koko.com)Bill, if you look carefully you can see he is breathing, it's better when he is asleep even if it is not very interesting for his public as he will heal

Hey Frank, How come there's no news on your progress since Saturday? Please could you ask your nice human let us know how you're doing as we're very worried about you in the brief moments we spend between food and sleep. Get well soon Frank! Come to Brighton soon and listen to us! From all at Juice 107.2 xxxxxxx

Hope you get well soon. I am a big black meowing machine and I suffered a broken pelvis after being knocked over on August Bank Holiday weekend last year. I just wanted to let you know that I am completely back to normal now and terrorising all the other cats I live with. Being in a cage is sooo boring but believe me it is best for you. Also when you are feeling better you can often give a little painful look or meow and the amount of fuss and treats you get are amazing, play on it you can twist them round your little finger. Good Luck Jack

FRANK JUST HEARD ABOUT YOUR ACCIDENT ON BEACON RADIO (WOLVERHAMPTON) LOADS OF LOVE FOR YOUR SPEEDY RECOVERY XXXX

Ohhhhh !!! I do hope Frank will be o.k. You know I was looking at him this morning for nearly an hour up until you must have come in to feed him around 8.00 am.....Bless his little furry toes.....He doesnt look very comfortable I must admit ~ but I know it must be painful for him at times ~ he is obviously eating as I saw his empty feeding bowl. Thankyou for informing me. I Know it must be really hard for you to see him enclosed like this ~ but I know it is for his own benefit and obviously the best right now. One of my cats about 20 yrs ago had a broken pelvis ~ the vet said that their was nothing that could be done.......se we had him put to sleep ~ it was very sad but I remember him draggin himself home after 2 days of him missing ~ he must have been unconsious for a couple of days. I do hope that he improves and please keep us all informed. Maggie xx

Get well soon, Frank. Don't let the mouses get you down. Happy listening!

Dear Frank, We just heard all about you on the radio, and we thought we would have a look at you on the webcom! you really are a very beautiful cat. We hope you are feeling ok.... Our mummy had a cat called Hatty, who got run over once. Hatty had a broken jaw, lost one ear, a paralysed paw, and was very very very shocked. Hatty pulled through this traumatic time in her life, and we are sure that you will pull through too. Unfortunately hatty went missing one day about 3.5 years ago, and we havent seen her since, but we hope she has found a loving home just as you have done! Get well soon Frank, The gang xxxxx

Dear Frank I was very sad to hear about your accident with the metal box. However, I think our students are very busy with A-level retakes and university applications, and although I am sure they would like to help and adopt you, their teachers will be cross if they don't concentrate on their work and get grade As. I hope you feel better soon.

Boy was it boring! My dog companion kept me company and it soon passed. Then in October I got run over again. This time I broke my spine and the same leg as before, so this time I had two operations to put things straight! I'm almost back to full strength now,but my owners have decided to keep me in.I want to go out! I hope you feel better soon,we should set up a support group!! Murphy(aged 3)

Hi Frank, From me and my 13 cats I want to wish you all the best. Please tell David not to let you walk freely anymore and that he should fence of his yard so you can walk freely in that. Works very well for my 13! Regards, Aïda Renout the Netherlands

Hi Frank, I hope you feel better soon. Glad to see you are practising the pathos, it makes them all gooey and ensures that you get lots of treats. I only have three legs, and my back leg (we call it my Lovely Leg) has now developed arthritis, so I have to spend a lot of my time lying by the fire. Last year we had a cat called Haggis who was hit by a car and he had to have his leg pinned, and stay in a cage in our kitchen for 10 weeks. Our vets said he would be a slow walker. So he proved them wrong by tearing about the place like a kitten when he got better and went to his new home. Keep purring, Love Ben Purr

Frank, I hope you get well soon! I have had a few near misses myself, so now I hide under a wardrobe all day and dream of catnip heaven! Get Well Soon, Little Miss Pilchard P.S I have included a picture of myself, hopefully it will make you feel better!

Here is my cat Sid, who says 'get well Frank' and soon!

Hope you heal up quickly and are soon as good as new. It is not nice to get run over by a car, especially for a cat, hope you manage to hold on the the 8 lives you have left.

Dear Frank I thought you might get fed up with "cat"pictures, so I send one of myself. This was taken when I went to Australia in January. I (and my husband) went on a cruise round Sydney harbour. I just saw your story on Anglia news (Mon 25th Feb at lunch time). I can see you are very sleepy at the moment so I will not expect a reply. My husband says I am barmy because I definately prefer cats to human beings. In fact my "son" is in fact a cat. His name is Mr maggoo and he is at this moment having a snooze on the window sill. I have sent your details to my friends in Australia. They have a little kitten called Harley who would I am sure be grateful to hear from you. Harley has a pink nose and ginger fur and therefore because of the risk of skin cancer will probably spend his life indoors Must go now Frank Catch you later Jilly and Maggooxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

With shock & horror we - three cats from Almere, the Netherlands - heard about your accident. Our missus came home today, telling what she had seen on the internet. We send you a heartfelt getwell-soon-mieuw - all the best!

on www.telegraaf.nl, the site from a Dutch newspaper, you're featured. I'll send you the link: www.telegraaf.nl/digilink/teksten/digi.site.bezoekers.gewonde.frank.britse.html

Hello Frank, sorry to hear you haven't been well but keep your chin up these vet people seem to know what they are doing. Love Barney

Hello Frank, We are four crazy cats called Sparkly (I'm the one with white bits), Poppy, (I'm all black, sitting in the middle), Blue Puss (I'm all black, and on the lower shelf), we are all girls, and Flump (Short for Fluffy Lump, I'm a big white tom cat). We are very sorry to hear about your accident, it is particularly moving for our adopted parents because before we came along there was another cat called Minooshk, who was hurt by a car, and after 3 months to get better and lots of visits to the vets he was knocked down again and now he isn't with us anymore. The cars didn't stop either time and our parents were very very sad, so we and our parents are really really pleased to see you getting better. We have sent a picture of us so you know who's sending this message, take care of yourself. Lots of furry love from Sparkly, Poppy, Blue Puss and Flump.

I heard about your web site on Manx Radio (A radio station on the Isle of Man). It was on the one o clock news. Good luck Frank and get well soon!!

Alas our friend Micky had an argument with a car and broke his leg. his vet wanted to remove it but our parents suggested he might like to keep it it healed stiff but he eventually used it to balance on when he was leeping up six foot fences and he lived a long time afterwards. and even though he limped it just made everyone more protective of him and gave him even greater personality. Us cats are resilient creatures and we all wish Frank well and a speedy recovery. love from minne mouser and Gnasher (both cats honest!)

Dear Frank, luckily we have never been as poorly as you and it must be horrible for you. At least you are getting better every day and your pet human is doing all he can. We saw you on TV today and just had to borrow our human's computer to write to you. We haven't written to a celebrity before! We hope you continue to feel stronger every day and send our love. From Cleo and Pouncer (feline sisters from Cambridgeshire).

Love all th kitties Get Well from Toronto Canada

hello Frank,my human read about you in the paper yesterday.I thought that you might benefit from my advice as exactly the same thing happened to me some years ago. My pelvis was broken in 3 places and I spent 6 weeks in a cage, which I regarded as an indignity. I was also distressed by the attention paid to the contents of my litter tray, which I considered unecessary and intrusive. I am now perfect once more, infact I am told that I am exquisite and the slight wiggle that I have as a result of trying to walk too soon only enhances my charms. However as a boy cat you might not want such a wiggle so my advice is to take care and not try to move around too much. Let your humans entertain you. best wishes from Alice

Dear Frank, My brother milo (top of piccy) had a bit of a run in with tyres too. Sadly he didn't live to tell me the tale. I miss him very much - especially climbing trees with him looking for birde (like in the piccy). My humans have found me a girlfriend now though called Chloe (2nd piccy) . Perhaps you met one of us - we live with our humans because they took a visit to Wood Green too! They didn't manage to just have a look either - perhaps it's because we're both sooo handsome, eh Frank?! Get well soon - and stick to climbing trees when your better! Dear Frank, My name is Kimmy and I am an English cat. My sister, Gilly, and I were adopted by a cool American couple who lived in Richmond-upon-Thames. Although I have never been hit by a car (my people won't let me out) I know what it is like to be alone. Our family now totals four felines and three humans. Noonie (my American brother) and I prefer the compfort of the mainhouse while Ralph and Hunter are more the outdoor types. We lost Gilly to cancer recently. She had a great time living her final years here in the US. We all wish you the very best. Remember cats rule and dogs drool! Cheers, Kimmy et al

We didn't realise what a lovely thick furry coat you have till we saw your shaved bit today...you look really cuddly. We know someone that does reiki healing on cats...have you thought of that? Gte well soon, love from 3 female cats!

Get well soon Frank . I to was an uunwanted lil cat but have now found a great family. You'll find 1 too..Forever Friends, ( cat to cat ,that is. ) Beanie Dardis.

This happened to my old cat, Rover, many years ago. Just to say that despite being really quite poorly for a while, he made a full recovery, and eventually passed away at the ripe old age of 17 and a half with an unrelated illness. Good luck Frank, hang in there. Pepper & Sunny (my two mogs) send their love.

Hi Frank and family, I justed wanted to say what a wonderful site this is and what an absolutely fantastic little fighter you are Frank. My colleague told me about this site after hearing about it on the radio and knowing how absolutely batty I am about cats, told me about you. I have two little girl cats, Molly and Jessie, they're sisters and are now two and half years old. When I first got them they were covered in fleas and absolutely full of cat flu at 9 weeks, the vet said they had a 50/50 chance and if they survived i would be a lucky woman. Well, I had already taken 3 weeks holiday from work because I knew they were coming and I was able to nurse them to health. I am absolutely devoted to them and haven't had a holiday since they came to live with me (I cancelled a two night holiday I was due to go on because they were so ill). I can see you are as much a fighter as my two are! Get well soon, God be with you xxxxxx

So sorry to hear about Frank's accident! And shame on the thoughtless and unfeeling bastard who didn't stop to after hitting him! Frank is lucky to have people who care about him. I believe that when an animal is shown compassion and love, he returns the same in kind. I hope Frank makes a quick and successful recovery and is with you for years to come! Lots of love and hugs to ya, Frank! Jenn

Hello Frank I hope you get better soon. Please be careful with your last 8 lives...

After hearing about Frank on Heart FM news today I just had to take a look at your web site (mainly to see if it really existed). As an avid cat owner myself his story has touched me and my own cat Whiskas, who has never been run over herself but seems to do just as little as Frank as she is now the ripe old age of 21. So we would just like to say, take it easy Frank and we'll look in again soon.

GET WELL SOON, FRANK...YOU'RE LOOKING GOOD!!! LOVE FROM LUCY xxx

Meow-Hi From Brighton Boy, I hope Sarah has warm hands, with you being only partially dressed you'll notice the cold a lot more at the moment. Never mind though your trousers will grow back quite quickly. Be careful the next time you want to spend a penny as one of your humans has been a bit clumsy and has knocked one of your cameras round to show your toilet room :-(Get well soon as the other cats in your area will start trying to invade your territory. Mind you I've heard you've managed to fool a dog into backing you up. That should help. Best Wishes Brighton Boy (from Hove Actually).

Dear Frank -- We hope you are feeling better, and are very sorry you got hurt. People are very inconsiderate sometimes! They just don't stop to think, do they. We are glad you are resting and listening to some good tunes. Soon you'll be up and running with the best of them. You are very lucky to have so many people who love you and can make you better again. Well, gotta go chase some dust bunnies! Love from your pals, Hazel, Cathy and Wolfie

Hi, Just saw you on the 6 o'clock anglia news and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi Frank, all six of us in yorkshire, Miki, Smudge, Neffy, Grimmy, Charles and Kitty are routing for you. Looks like you soon be on your feet tho, and thats good cos we all know there is a mouse population to be kept in check (tho dont tell our Mam we said that, she hates it) We lost our brother Tyrant to a car in november. He had tried to get home by the looks of things, he was outside our door when we found him. Mam was heartbroken and blubbered just a bit at your accident. But happy endings are in sight...Have fun, take care, see you around. Miki, Smudge, Neffy, Grimmy, Charles the persian and Kitty

Try listening to Lincs FM

Hi Frank (not Zappa is it?) Heard about you on Classic FM and had to ask 'the long legs' to look up your site for us. Hope you are feeling better and that you will soon be allowed out of that cage! Looks a bit like the thing they put us in when they take us to see 'the Booster Man'. We will watch to see how you do, when we are not sleeping or eating that is. From Fridge (yes that is my name) and J.J.

Hi Frank, My name is Purrrcy, I've just been to the vet today and I can tell you I didn't go quietly! I've been in a fight and have an abcess over my eye. They've given me antibiotics and cream. My Mum thinks that if she puts the pills in Tuna I won't notice them. I've eaten the first lot just to lull her into a false sense of security. Wait until tonight I won't touch the stuff. I won't give in until I get fresh prawns, and the whole prawn not just the head! What's more, they're going away on holiday on Thursday and leavign me, injured, and alone. Oh watch me act! By the time I'm finished with them they will be leaving with very heavy hearts...if they leave at all. Anyway, get well soon. Best regards Purrrcyx

Miaow miaow miaow! Miaow purrrrr miaow miaow. Miaow purrrrrrrrrrr miaow miaow miaow miaow purrrrrrrr! Love The Beasts

Hi Im a tabby cat my brother spike was killed in a car accident :(

Hi Frank, hope you are feeling better soon. You're quite an addictive cat don't you know! I'm going to e-mail 96.3 Radio Aire (West Yorkshire area) to try and get you a request. Heard about you on Radio Hallam today Monday 25 feb (South Yorkshire and Midlands areas). Are you thinking of going into films when you are up and around - have you got yourself the name of a good agent? best wishes, Elise

Hi feline friend, Frank, we are so sorry to hear of your argument with the Humans' vehicle. Lots of purrs for a speedy recovery back to the mouse chase - humans prefer it if you can play this game on their bed between 2-4a.m. Pebbles and brother Barney, Tigger and sister Lucy all of Waterbeach. p.s. our predecessors Timothy and Mischief knew the Davys ever so well and thought they were ever so kind. Mind you Mischief lived up to her name and she was not their most favourite visitor.

This message is from my large male tabbie Huckleberry, and his little tail-less girlfriend Mimi (Cat Protection League) Hello Friend, We were lying on the top of the settee with Ros and Bri when you came on the TV. Ros told us to look up and see this friend who had been in the wars. Well, we were sorry to hear what you had gone through, and Ros said said she would e-mail you to say we are thinking of you such a lot, hope the painkillers work, and she will keep looking at this page to see how you are doing. Mimi lost her tail with a car driving over it, so she says to tell you she knows just how it hurts!! Please tell your owners that Ros and Bri say thank goodness most people look after their pets like they do. Keep getting better! Huckleberry and Mimi Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire.

Dear Frank , wishing you a speedy recovery . Love Chico , Pele & Rocky

Hello Frank, I don't like cats but.....in your case I'll make an exception.!! You've had a pretty rough time like I did only I wasn't hit by a car. Dear Frank, I was told about your misfortune by a friend who is visiting in England. I am so sorry for your pain an so happy that the Doctor was able to fix you up. I have a furry Kid too. His name is Casey and he is about years old. I would be very sad if anything ever happened to him. We both want to wish you a complete recovery in time to enjoy the summer sun. If you need any tips on how to milk your injuries Casey and I could give you some pointers. Take care, Purrs and Scratches, Linda and Casey =^..^=

Hello, I'm Chloe and I am the proud owner of Sue and Mike who are generally quite well behaved.I used to have a friend called Oscar who had also got run over many years ago. Sue and Mike were also very worried about him, but he lived for many years after the accident. So I hope that you will be sensible and rest a lot so that you get better sooner!!

Frank, Take it easy get well soon. Timeshare x x x

best wishes to Frank the Cat, have a sick cat at home too. I'm glad he didn't get hit by a car, that would be shocking as a cat owner to hear. My cat has an allergic disease at the moment, have to give him intensive care @ home with medicine. I was almost in a sort of schock when i saw the spots on my cat, but it's getting better each day. Take good care of Frank, nice cat. bye

Just wishing you well soon after reading about you in the paper.

Did you this message? The other human seems to have sent a message from Brighton Boy (too). It is great to be on my own, I can fiddle with the computer! Hove is rooting for you. I contacted "The Argus" (local newspaper). I hope they will take up your story. Feline greetings. Brighton Boy (Hove actually) Hove, super

dear frank, i hope you will soon be up and running about again, but please be careful of the road XXX

Hi Frank, my owner and I saw you on our local news this evening so thought we'd take a look at your site. I too was injured - just before Christmas. I broke one of my back legs in four places so it had to be amputated. I was lucky in that I only had to be kept inside for ten days, but it had its benefits as the dog was kept well out of my way and everyone treated me like royalty (as it should be...) Now, I can run like before, but my jumping still needs perfecting. I wish you well in your recovery, all the best Ginger Mog x

Hope you're feeling better soon, Frank. Love from Marie, Steve, Sabre and Fella (heard about you on Lincs FM)

god on yer mate - hang in there - if wishes could make you well you'd be mega cat. love. pym

My 2 cats have seen you on the internet and send you greetings and get well wishes. They are called Borage and Clover.

i bet frank would like WXDU, from durham, north carolina. http://wxdu.org it's a very eclectic radio station... you can hear everything from blues to techno to turkish zither music within any given hour. there is a form on the site you can post requests to and the dj in the studio will try to accomodate. if he likes classical, try http://TheClassicalStation.org a request program every Saturday night is the best they can do, but the music is very relaxing! meow!

Dear Frank, We're sending you lots of hugs, headpats and warm wishes for a quick and easy recovery. From Sunny California - Anita and her 5 cats: Chelsea, Diablo, Tabitha, OJ and Ghost

Dear Frank, Get well soon.

Frank, I saw you on the Anglia TV news report at lunchtime today, and have been watching you throughout the rest of the day! I am sure that you will fully recover from your mishap, so chin up and be brave! This evening I have e-mailed and spoken to my two nieces, Kathryn and Maria, in Bolton, Lancashire and they are now following your progress via your website. All the very best for a speedy return to full fitness. Bill McLaughlin, Diss, Norfolk.

Dear Frank and family, Heard about you on LBC radio and visited your site tonight. We,(two adults and four cats) wish you all the best and hope to see a good recovery. We shall visit you often to see how things are going. Have lots of rest and get well soon. Love Julie, John, Tamlyn, Neelix, Prudence and Peanut

Get well soon Frank. My sister sent me your link and I look at your progress at the beginning of the day and the end of the day. What were you doing out in the road unattended?

Seen you online. You are a cutey, our cats would love you to bits, you might even be lucky and they would share their treats and a toy mouse with you. We will be glued to the screen everyday to make sure you are getting better. Lots of love and cuddles from us and our gang Bod, Susie and Fraser the 3 Pussy Cats and Smokey the 3 legged rabbit.

Dear Frank Hope you get better soon, love from Tabatha

get well Frank!

Hi, Frank! Saw your story at Wired News and told my cat Buster about it. He broke both his legs once and is therefore sympathetic to your injury. Buster sends his best from Albuquerque, NM, USA, and wishes you a full recovery!

Dear Frank, Attached is a Get Well Card, from Lotje (8), Bennie (6) Josephine (5) and me (Daantje). The card shows me when I was about 6 months old, about 5 years ago. We live in Amersfoort, Holland. We asked our human friends to send you this e-mail, because we are experts in handling mice, but we always have trouble using a keyboard. Best regards, Lotje, Bennie, Josephine and Daantje

I'm a black cat called Delilah and as my paws are not too good at using a keyboard (better at catching mice) I asked my mummy to write you from me. I was sorry to hear you had been in a car accident as the same thing happened to me a few years ago. Just as I was recovering my last human mum and dad died in the same week and I was left all alone. My six brothers and sister cats were rehomed by the same person but she didn't want me because of my gammy leg and my tendency to swear at people! Luckily a friend of the family took me in and I now own the whole gaff and they dote on me paw and back paw! Forgive me for being a little forward but perhaps we could become internet pen pals - possibly leading to love. I'm sleek, black, have a g.s.o.h and you may be the cat of my dreams. I am well educated (I have a B.A.hons in feline literature and a master's degree in the work of Top Cat with particular insight into the relationship between Officer Dibble and Top Cat himself also focusing on group dynamics involving the likes of Benny and Choo Choo.) I am seeking someone matching your description to go mice torturing and bird watching with. Please reply to me if you think I could be the girl you are looking for (if at all - you may just prefer a good plate of Go Cat!) If you don't want me, I can still watch you on your fabulous web site and dream about you whilst I twitch my paws in front of the fire! Lots of love, kisses with fishy smelling breath, Delilah xxxxxxx Alas I am no use to you....

Hi Frank I hope you make a great recovery, I'm a 14 and a half year old tortoiseshell . I had a terrible accident 8 years ago when I fell from a tree and broke my paw, every single bone in my paw. I had to have a plaster on and had it changed every other week which was quite traumatic. You should get your owner to UP THE DOSE of painkillers!!!! I know you'll feel better soon Thinking of you young boy!!!!! Love SashaDose upped:-))

Meeeeoooowwwwww Get well soon

Dear Frank, you just can't trust humans to get the hang of new technology can you !!! No matter how many times we walk over the keyboard they still fail to grasp the fundamentals. Hope you receive this picture ok Love and kisses from Ollie and Tigger xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Yes thankyou well worth the wait

Dear Franky We want to wish all the best and hope that you are up on you're feet in no time... Therefor we send you these pictures...Love from manuela,Slungeltje,Robin,Tigger,Toby,Pippi,Barney,Lola,Rose,Talyta,Forrie and Li'll Miss Daisey and my rats
