Messages to Frank - 23rd Feb
That is the cutest cat!! I'm so sorry he had an accident, but am glad he is getting better now. If it's any consolation, my arm is in plaster as I have broken my wrist. Please tell Frank this, to let him know he's not the only one who has accidents.
Get well soon Frank, you're one brave and lucky puddy tat! xxxxxxxxxxx
Just to suggest Frank catches Stefan's morning show from Towson's "The Breeze" via
http://www.towson.edu/wtmd/ Stefan's show is on from 10:30 to 15:00 UK time and I've sent a request for some melodic music for Frank. They play a very wide variety (often it is instrumental/smooth jazz). Best wishes, Peter (a cat lover too) Cool, Groovy (says Frank
we just want to wish you a speedy recovery. Bryant
Hi Frank Try listening to Classic FM at www.classicfm. I've asked Jonathon Ray to play you something soothing. Hope you're soon fit and well again! :) Stella
Get well soon Frank. You are looking good on the webcam. Donald Walker Hollywood California
HI, sweet Frank. My sweet kitty of 18 and 1/2 years just passed away last Friday. He was much loved and is terribly missed. In his name, I wish you the very best. Everyone here at Cathospital sends their best wishes
Hi Frank! I am typing you this message from Hamilton, New Zealand. I hope you are feeling better, and that you are well on the road to recovery. You obviously have owners who care about you very much, as you look as if you are being extremely well looked after! When I first saw you on the webcam, I thought what a handsome, gorgeous cat! May you recover soon, and I hope you haven't used up too many of your nine lives! Take care Lauren

Dear Frank Get well soon matey - by the way - I've not got my name from that fooballer bloke - I got there first! - I'm 12 years old and got my name from a bottle of the good ol German liquid refreshment the beer BECKS!!!! Love Becks XXXXX ps My mate Kracker wants to wish you well also, he's 15 years old, 1/2 persian owned by MY owner's parents. Piccy attached!
Take care and get well soon! Kracker Sarah

Dear Frank. I think you're a real stud muffin. I'm a shy Persian, white as snow (which I've never seen), and you seem like a real he-cat. I can see you're feeling a little stressed because you can't roam, but I hope your owner is giving you lots of catnip. Hang in there; about six months ago my owner drove over me with her 4x4 or SUV, and I was squashed as flat as a pancake (or as flast as my nose, actually). But I'm much better now.
Lots of love, and I'll be keeping an eye or two on you. Pushkin from Johannesburg, South Africa
dear frank I hope you are feeling better and will soon be back on your paws
lots of love Samantha and mum xxxxxxxx
Hey Frank, glad to see you looking perky. I enjoyed reading your messages but noticed a very nasty posting in German halfway down Friday's messages - it must have been written by a dirty slavering dog in disguise. It's the one that starts 'scheiß katzenvieh'. I'm not going to translate it all as I know you're still a bit weak, but suffice it to say that the words 'scum' and 'drown' appear in it. Perhaps you could get your nice human to delete it?! Off for a nap now - all this mouse work has worn me out... Oscar (black, four years old and devastatingly handsome)
Thanks for the tip, message deleted Frank
I broke my pelvis on the 7th December 2001. I had to stay at the vets until the 22nd December - home for Christmas! I woke to find my tail and various claws missing. I was due to be neutered a few days after the accident. I thought I had managed to escape that until I started to wash myself - Happy Christmas Salem. My owners obviously feel extremely guilty and are feeding and cuddling me on demand. If I don't get what I want I find the best solution is to climb into the litter tray after several hearty meals and kick all the litter out of the tray and accidently go just outside the tray. They cannot get cross as I am still very weak. I am almost back to full health and am even allowed outside. All the best to you Frank. Salem
Dear Frank Hope youre feline better I to had a broken pelvis in an accident and a damaged sacroliac joint it takes a long time to be fit again but keep your chin up. My cat is called Jet But two strays visit Blackie and Sam.

Hi Frank Hope you're getting a little better each day. My cat is Minette and 18 so she is very old now and all she does is eat sleep and go to the loo (and dribbles a lot when I stroke her!). She lives with me in Cambridge and sleeps all day while I am at work. It will be a sad day when I don't have her anymore which the vet has said might be soon. Hope you are soon much better, I am sure you appreciate you have some lovely people to lok after you. Love and hugs
Dear Frank. We are two cats who live in Aberdeen, our mum doesn't let us out because the cat she had before us, Oscar, got hit by a car and died and she doesn't want that to happen to us. We were really sad to hear about your accident and hope that you get better soon. Purring is meant to be very good for healing, according to recent research, so we'll do lots of purring for you and hope that it helps. Miaow, miaow, purr purr Joey and Penny xxxx

Try listening to Domenico Scarlatti's "Cat's Fugue." I hope it will be therapeutic for you, and that you will soon be back to your old self. Another piece you will probably love is: " Le Petit Rat " by Jean Francaix. Take care and keep well away from roads. All the best- Marsha.
Get well soon Frank!
Hi Frank I know what it's like to be poorly. I had my ear channel removed but don't worry you will soon be as right as rain and catching those mice again, like me and baby Holly. Have a purrfect day Poppy and Holly
get your vets to listen to classic FM the music is so relaxing and a sure tonic to puuuurrk you up....
Our two cats, Tyler (22 pounds) and Frosty send their best to Frank for a speedy recovery. They would like to visit him in person, but because of the quarantine laws between the US and UK they will not be able to. Just the same they send greetings and hope all turns out well. Charlie, Karoline, Tyler & Frosty
Just thought that you'd like to know frank has been featured on page 29 of the Daily Express (23 Feb). Good luck frank! Frank says great, I on the other hand have to out into the Snow to get a copy!).
I got run over in December and suffered almost the same injuries. I had to suffer cage rest and did not like it at all. Fortunately I have now been given the all clear and am allowed out again. Last week I caught my first mouse since the accident and I was very pleased with myself.
Unfortunately I seem to have lost my tail, but I am now a new sleaker version of my fromer self and my Parents are quite pleased so I am not too bothered! Hope you continue to improve. Relax and don't get too stressed in that cage - I know it is not as big as the Humans seem to think it is (there certainly is not enough room to swing a cat in there!) Take care, Quinn -x-
Hi Frank! Sarah is my horse's vet and she is wonderful!! Put your paws in her hands and you'll be OK. Love Polly Frank thinks Sarah should be on Animal Hospital, get shot of that silly bloke with the beard.
Get well soon Frank-lots of love and much respect due from Bogs (aka 'worlds best cat)
Dear Frank Your owners might not know that certain music can be quite disturbing to cats. For healing, classical music is far better so get them to tune to CLassic FM. Mozart's music helps pulse rate and breathing and can even lower blood pressure so lots of Mozart. Particularly the violin concertos but not too loud. Get well and back on your paws soon. Interesting we'll re tune later
Dear Frank, I hope you will soon be feeling better, and able to run about, and maybe catch a mouse or two. My cat, Oscar, sends his best wishes, and says he is glad everyone is looking after you so well. I have sent my family your web site, so they may send some more messages, get well soon, and when you do STAY OFF THE ROAD!! love Eileen.
get well soon frank! all our catty love Laura and Ange
Get well soon!
Hi Frank, Greetings and get well from a family of Welsh cats, Nadab, Eliazar, Sherah, Ithama and Bathsheba
Dear Frank Hiya, sorry to hear that you have been in the wars -getting plenty of sleep is a good thing for recovery, I sleep 23 out of 24 and spend one hour eating. I have been to the vets recently and my vet said that I was the best 17 year old (cat) he had ever seen. I am still pretty agile for my age, can climb trees etc. I have to say that I have not come face to face with a moving car in my life and the nearest I get is to sit under my Dad and Mum's car on the drive attacking anything that comes near me. I am profoundly deaf (pretty normal in cats of my generation) but in compensation I have the loudest miaow you have ever heard (much to the annoyance of the neighbours and my Mum and Dad). Anyway, GET WELL SOON. Love Bear
We are so sorry to here about your accident Frank, especially that we know you and think you are beautiful. We both hope you are feeling much better. We hope the kind people who found you will visit you. I(Trudi) saw your story in the paper and I am saving it for Hilary. I hope your friends, lovely Ben and George are being kind to you. I would love to have given you a special place in my heart but i already have a delinquent cat called Pansy! She would be EXTREMELY jealous! One of us will be there for B and G on Monday but I suppose you will be tucked away safely. Meanwhile, Frank, get well soon. Love from Trudi and Hilary. xx
Hi Frank! My owner and me are wishing you a fast recovery. Greetings from Germany,
Bjorn.
Hello, again Frank. I have just read my other email to you; you must think I am bad at spelling!!,especially as your "mummy" is a Teacher! I was SO SORRY to hear(!) about your accident. Please accept this brief email merely as a spelling correction!! Love from Trudi

Dear Frankie-kins! "Hello" and a series of warm pats to you from Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Good luck in your recovery, you're obviously a brave little soldier. And please give your wonderful new owners a whiskery kiss as soon as you feel up to it. They certainly deserve one (or two, or three....) XXXXOOOOOXXXX and pats, Cheryl
Hello Frankie Baby, I'm really sorrry about your pelvis, I can identify with you because I have a new metal hip, although I am 60 years older than you. All through your website, I have kept saying aw, aw, aw, poor cat. I have felt very guilty, because I must admit to using my indoor plant sprayer, nozzle set to fine piercing jet, to spray cats who enter my garden and dig plants up before they make other uses of it. Sorry Frankie Baby, I'll reform my ways in future!!!!!
Best wishes for a speedy return to full recovery. Maggie. PS. Has your vet made you wear those strong white elastic stockings to keep the circulation going? I couldn't see them from the webcam.
Frank a chara Thats dear Frank. I hope they're pampering you mo ghra. My friend Ruth in Dublin sends her best wishes, but she's a little jealous because she'd like to spend a day in bed at the center of eveyones attention too. Get well soon, and live your other eight lives to the full!
Paws

Hello Frank, Sorry to hear about your injuries. At the moment I am lying on the bed sleeping, dreaming of mice. My owner, val, tells me you are feline grotty at the moment. Wishing you all the best, love Kitty Smith
Hi Frank. You are such a handsome little chap that all I want to do is tickle you under your chin. Please, please get well soon and stay away from that road! If I lived closer I would pop round with some ham and steak.
Hey Frank, this is Minou from Taiwan. I am just 2 month old, not knowing too much about the world, but I know stay in a small cage for so long is no fun at all. Wish you get very soon!
your cat pal in taiwan, Minou
My mum, Marilyn saw a piece on page in The Times today and checked out the website. It said there had been 25,000 hits which under the circumstances, I thought was a bit tactless!
I love to dribble over the computer keyboard and walk in front of the screen when people are typing. Get Well Soon, Rosie
Hello from Kansas City! It's great to see Frank walking around in his cage. We had to put our 16 year old cat Arthur to sleep this last week, and it is really heartwarming to hear of Frank's story. We hope Frank continues to do well, Paul and Jennifer Leonard
Hang in there, Frank, we know it gets better. On Valentine's Day, we made a visit to a cat hospital and the next thing we knew, we had lost some fur, one of us had threads holding a tummy together and we sure didnot feel like playing. Now, a week later, we are back to running all over the place and driving our housemates wild. Life is good again, and we are sure it will be for you, too.
Here is a picture of our kitty Arthur who has recently passed away. We hope Frank gets back on his feet soon! Best Wishes, Paul and Jennifer
Bobo, and her pal Charlie (who wouldn't sit still to have his photo taken) send their love to Frank and wish him well. Bobo is 16 years old and hobbles around like Frank so she sympathises with him, but at least he has an excuse! Anyway, best wishes from Northern Ireland, and those x-rays are brilliant!

Hope you get well soon. when I was a kitten the same thing hapenned to me. I was put in a large box with food and litter tray and had to rest for several weeks until my pelvis healed. I'm now over 16 years of age and have an inner ear infection but getting treatment for it. Make sure you rest a lot. Seems you are improving as you're eating and going to the toilet.
Love and Cat Kisses Black Josh

G'day Frank, We are two cats in jail in Bridgend. One day, they put us in cages and they in a dark place that roared for a long time. Then it bumped along the ground and wobbled a lot and roared an even longer time. No wonder we hissed at everyone after we bumped on the ground again and got put in a car. We know cars because our Mommy puts us in a car and it usually means a needle or a cage. This was a cage. We are Australian cats so the cold weather was a shock. But we have settled down and look forward to getting out of jail soon. We saw your webpage and we thought a message from two Australian cats would be nice for you. And even though you are in a cage you can think of us in our big pen. Liz is nice, she feeds us and Adrienne's husband comes in the night to feed us tuna from a John West tin. Next door to us is Camembert from America and there are cats from Zimbabwe and Canada too. We are the only Australian cats. We like Jag, who is a little cat next door, he is spotted. He is a Bengal cat. We all send miaows and we hope you get better soon and please stay away from cars. We have a story too. Mommy says Bedwyr is a Persian Chinchilla with attitude. Hywel Teifi (me) was a dumped cat left in a shopping centre car park after Christmas/NewYear 2000/2001, but Mommy adopted him and now he is sleek and a jetsetter. Liz says I am a champagne tabby and he thinks that is better than being a Chinchilla. (Bedwyr says Chinchillas are the best but I take no notice). Mommy says I am Heinz 57 but we don't know what that means. Frank, you have cat friends. We are happy Aussie cats and we will put another prawn on the barbie for you when you get out. We hope that is soon. And here is a message only you will understand: Prrut, prow, purr, mew, miaow.
Hahaha! Love from the Ozzie Boys at Starwinds Quarantine Cattery, Coety, Wales
We are two cats that live in the US and are glad to hear you are healing.
We spend a lot of time with our family, so it must be tough to be confined to the cage.
Hopefully you are back in health soon and can resume your usual cat schedule.
Take care, keep eating and thank your folks for all the kindness and care.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Frank from Nelson
